As the game started for our company outreach program yeterday, this little girl caught my attention. She went up the stairs, she then sat and hugged her balloon; you can't even trace a smile on her face... I went up and tried to convince her to come with me and play with the other kids, but she was hesitant. She kept saying, "ayaw ko po, di ko po kaya." She was very shy. Later on, she said yes and held my hand. She was just next to me during the games. Most of the time, she just stayed at the corner and played by herself. There were rare moments that she will smile. I actually felt there was a little irony because her name is Joy... But as to what I have observed, she didn't seem to be so happy. Even if her sisters in the orphanage were enjoying. // Merienda time, she asked me, "Ate, tabi tayo'ng kumain..." She saved a seat for me. Another kid wanted to sit on it, her younger sister Pia, but she insisted, "Ih, tabi kami ni ate." // As we bid our goodbyes, she hugged and kissed me. Said, "ba-bye po." Her face, still unhappy, nor sad. But through her eyes... I can feel through her the real deal of, "If you don't wanna be hurt, don't get too attached." // These little children maybe abandoned and less fortunate compared to us, but they are angels meant to bring life and happiness in this world. Ang naging inspirasyon sa halos maraming pagkakataon. Balang araw ipagsisigawan rin kita. Sasabihin ko sa kanila na, Alam nyo, siya yung tamang tao. Tamang tao sa di tamang panahon. Tamang tao sa maling pagkakataon. Siya na sana Kaso, baka napa aga yung dating nya. O, baka ako yung nahuli Kasi may mahal na sya. Ang sakit diba? May mahal na sya. May mahal na sya agad. Agad, kasi, kelan lang naman natapos yung sa'tin. Ay mali, yung Tayo. Ay, wala nga pala. Yung ikaw at ako. Yung sating dalawa? Kelan lang naman diba? Bakit naman kasi agad-agad? Bakit di mo hinintay na damdamin ko man la'y masagad? Yung tipong wala na. Yung ubos na. Yung tapos na. Balang araw ipagsisigawan ko rin Na, ikaw na nga. Na, kaya ko na… Heto na, kaya ko na nga. Pero, teka, asan ka na? Bakit di mo nahintay ‘tong araw na kaya ko nang ipagsigawan ka? Bakit bigla na lang na bumitaw ka? Bakit ka sumuko? Bakit ka lumayo? Bakit ka nagtago? Bakit ka umatras? Bakit ka umiwas? Bakit bumitaw ka? Balang araw sasabihin ko rin sa kanila Na, mahal pa rin kita. Kahit wala ka na. Kahit hindi na ako at ikaw. Ipagsisigawan rin kita. Balang araw isisigaw ko rin ang kwento nating dalawa. Na sana, hindi na lang ikaw.
