Charity Update
Latest figures show our monetary donations so far as: $2,953.21! One more day to donate if you wish, or to take this last day to do something to help others in your community or around the world. The hugest of thanks to all that have contributed in any way to this project <3
Gave $25 each to Jen and Colin's charities! Thanks for letting everyone know!
Charity Registry Update
Greetings, fellow CS Charity Registry bunnies. Today is the day that a lot of us have been waiting for, so I hope you are all ready to celebrate accordingly!
Just to update you on our progress on this auspicious day, the total raised at the time of writing (at current exchange rates) by donations to Colin and Jen’s charities, other charities close to the hearts of individual CSers, and sponsorship support to CSers taking part in charity events is...
$2,816.35 !
and still rising...
Thank you to everyone has donated so far to make a difference around the world and those who are organising events and carrying out their own work in the community to bring hope to those that need it.
If you have made a donation to any charity (apart from SOSAD) but haven’t let us know, please use the Submit page so that we can log it and keep our records as accurate as possible. If you’re organising an event or doing something charitable closer to home, we want to hear about that too! We will keep your submission private if you tick the box asking us to do so.
You still have until May 14th to make your contribution, large or small, monetary or otherwise so let’s keep up the good work!
Please consider reblogging our posts to support this venture and increase awareness and if you have Twitter, then please spread the word by retweeting this tweet.
We hope that you all enjoy tonight’s episode and thank you all for your amazing support! You are all bright, shining stars.
xoxo
Congrats to Captain Swan!
I donated $100 to Erasing the Distance which is a non-profit arts organization based in Chicago that uses the power of performance to disarm stigma, spark dialogue, educate, and promote healing surrounding issues of mental health.
Captain Swan has helped get me through some tough times, but I know there are still a lot of people struggling.

Hi there :) first of all I wanna thank you guys for making something so amazing, it’s truly inspirational. I didn’t have any money to donate, and I was thinking about the best way to do something nice for someone and a friend of my mother’s told me about an initiative of her church to donate hair to a cancer institute here where I live, for the production of wigs for people who can’t afford one. So I decided to cut and donate my hair, it’s something really simple, but hopefully it will make someone happy!
This is beyond words... so wonderful

Monthly donation set up to Unicef Argentina to add up to USD100/year. :)
Donated $30 to American Heart Association through their '' Jump Rope and Hoops For Heart!'' program helping school kids raise donations to help other kids with heart disease. Raises awareness and empathy in little kids while at the same time helping others! I think it's a great cause :)

I donated $20 to the Tyler Robinson Foundation. It's a charity started by Imagine Dragons for a friend of mine who passed away from cancer. They help families who's children have cancer pay their bills or help provide transportation to treatments.
Donated $250 to the Jacobsen syndrome (well, technically $125 but my company matches 100% of charitable donations up to 7500 a year so they will get the other 125 from my company); made a similar donation to Sosad but had to do the full $250 as my company only matches US charities. This is truly the most amazing ship ever and we are so lucky to have Jen and Colin as captains - hope my donations encourage others to give as well - just think if even half the fans I see online could donate just $5 to both of these organizations what kind of statement we could make!

Instituto Mário Penna (Brazil)
Well, this is my first donation, so I donate only R$10 (because that’s all I got now) to a place called “Instituto Mário Penna”, it's a reference institution in cancer (prevention, diagnosis, treatment, teaching and research) in my city here in Brazil. They have two hospitals and both are used by these patients. My choice was kinda personal since my grandma spent a year and a half of her life dealing with cancer and, thanks to God and the hospital service, she’s cured now! So I’ll try to raise more money to them and, if I did, I’ll submit here as well! So, here goes:

(Oh, I’m from the @finisquad group, the brazilian CS squad. I spoke with T'Lynn and Lena yesterday on Twitter! Amazing job here, girls! xx)
@xhookswenchx (her spawn) and I are running the Tinker Bell Half Marathon (in actually doing the Pixie dust challenge, which is 10k+the half) with the Michael J. Fox foundation to fundraise for Parkinson’s research.
Obviously, our team name is in honor of our beloved captain’s beloved ship
