Suddenly a scream coming from the next-door room woke you up - it was Lisa and Eunbin’s room. You turned to your left to look at Yujin and she too had woken up. “Was that screaming?”
“I heard it too, I think it’s coming from Lisa and Eunbin’s room,” Yujin confirmed as she quickly got out of bed and put on her slippers, you following her suit.
You two rapidly made your way to the room next door but immediately stopped as you noticed Eunbin’s figure standing completely still at the entrance of the room.
“What happened? Is everything alright?” You asked as both you and your roommate entered the room walking past a petrified Eunbin.
The sight in front of you completely terrified you - Chanyeol was feeding off of Lisa’s neck, rivers of blood running down her chest.
“V-vampire,” Eunbin stuttered.
Without even thinking you grabbed the nearest object that would cause the most damage - which happened to be Eunbin’s pink umbrella - and launched towards Chanyeol, repeatedly hitting him in the head. You knew you had little to no chance of overpowering him, but the life of your friend depended on it.
“Let go of her,” smack “you blood-sucking” smack “monster!” smack, smack, smack.
“Ouch!” You heard the silver-haired vampire yell under your successive attacks, increasing your level of confidence.
“Y/N stop! You’re hurting him!” Your friend Lisa tried to stop you by grabbing the umbrella with one hand, the other pressing at her bleeding neck. Why was she defending him?
“What do you mean I’m hurting him? He was hurting you!” You turned around to attack him once more, but Lisa’s hand pulled harder on the pink object, impeding you to continue your assault.
“I asked him to!” You turned around to look back at your friend with a look of disbelief on your face but her worried features instantaneously soften you up, your improvised weapon being lowered down. “I asked him to bite me,” she added in a softer tone.
“But why?” Asked Yujin, suddenly reminding you of the presence of your other two friends and their recently gained knowledge about the existence of vampires.
“Well you know me, I always had a thing for Edward Cullen and...I wanted to know what it felt like…” she trailed off, getting back to the boy to check on the places you had hit him.
“You’re team Jacob,” you deadpanned, noticing Chanyeol’s disturbed reaction from the corner of your eye.
“That’s not the point! Yeoli told me that the bite of a vampire is very pleasurable because it releases some type of pheromone, so…”
You were stunned. Was what she was saying true? Or was it just some bullshit story Chanyeol fed her so he could bite her and drink her blood? It wouldn’t be out of character for him to trick someone like that after all, he had helped Taehyung do the same to you.
A terrifying realization suddenly hit you like a truck: if Chanyeol had drunk Lisa’s blood then that meant he could now track her every move. Your blood ran cold. You couldn’t let him hurt her, you wouldn’t.
“Chanyeol, can I speak to you alone please?” You turned to the boy, not liking the nonchalant look he had on his face.
“Look Y/N, I know you’re worried about me but he won’t hurt me! He’s not Taehyung, he told me everything about vampires!”
Your face immediately frowned. You tried to give him your most threatening expression even though you were completely aware that there was no way he was going to be scared of you. “You told her?!”
“Who’s Taehyung?” Eunbin asked, immediately making you cuss. It was bad enough they knew about vampires, but knowing about Taehyung too? That was a whole other level of danger.
“Y/N’s secret night course vampire boyfriend!” Lisa quickly responded on your behalf, even though she was totally wrong. “I can’t believe you kept all of this a secret from us!”
“Okay, first of all, Taehyung is definitely not my boyfriend. And second, I was trying to protect you all! These ‘people’ are dangerous!” You explained, being mindful to use air quotations on the word ‘people’.
“Hey!” Chanyeol interjected from your left. You were not sure if he was offended at the ‘people’ part or at the ‘dangerous’ part, but you honestly couldn’t care less.
“Oh shut up, you know exactly what you and your vampire friend did!”
“Listen, I’m sorry okay?” The silver-haired guy got closer to you and, for the first time since you’ve met him, he looked at you with a sincere expression. “I owed him big time and when he told me that all I had to do to pay off the debt was to fight off those imaginary guys and make you give him your blood I did it. No questions asked.”
You didn’t know what to say. You were obviously having a hard time trusting him but, at the same time, you liked to think you were a good judge of character and your inner judge was telling you that he was being genuine. Additionally, you also remembered Jimin telling you that he was, at worst, a womanizer - a fact that made you ease up on him.
“Fine!” You sighed, flailing your arms, Chanyeol and Lisa sharing a content smile. “But I’ve got my eye on you!” You pointed at him with the most menacing look you could pull off, only serving to make Lisa laugh.
“Okay, vampires? Imaginary guys?” Your roommate’s voice sounded from behind you, reminding you that she and Eunbin were completely in the dark. “Can somebody please tell us what’s going on?”
“Shit. Sorry girls, I guess I might as well tell you everything.” You pointed to the bed so they could sit and listen, but the blood-stained sheets made them sit on the floor instead.
You took a big sigh and started spilling the beans.
“It all started with those dreams I was constantly having…”
“Wow Y/N,” Eunbin said after you filled them in on everything.
“Well, that’s kind of a relief,” Yujin confessed.
“A relief? How so?” You asked, baffled at how she could possibly be relieved with all the information you had just dumped on her.
“I gotta tell you Y/N, for a while I was concerned about your mental well being, with that whole dream thing you had going on, but learning that it’s Jimin’s fault makes me feel better.”
You were a little surprised at her reaction; the Jimin dreams now seemed like a lifetime ago and you hadn’t given them that much importance as you were telling the truth to your friends. Unfortunately, now you had other types of dreams to worry about.
You didn’t tell them about the Taehyung dreams. First, because you really didn’t know what caused them, and second because Chanyeol was there and you really didn’t feel like letting him know that you had wet dreams about his so-called ‘friend’. God knows what he would do with that information.
“So have you let Jimin bite you yet?” Lisa asked as she laid her hair on her boyfriend’s chest, his hand petting her blood-stained blonde hair.
The question threw you off a bit, your cheeks heating up. “No.”
“Why not?” Asked Eunbin, still sitting on the floor with her legs crossed.
“Because it’s not like that okay? We’re just getting to know each other...” you trailed off, lowering your head, the thought of feeding him your blood getting you a bit riled up.
“Yeah right,” Chanyeol snorted from Lisa’s bed, getting your attention. “I’m sorry to burst your bubble sweety, but he’s a vampire - blood is the thing he craves the most. Well, blood and sex,” he suddenly turned to Lisa with a smug look on his face making her giggle.
“You should ask him Y/N, I promise you it’s worth it,” Lisa winked at you before kissing Chanyeol, their tongues immediately interchanging with each other.
You were speechless. Of course, you knew of the needs of a vampire, especially since you seemed to be reminded of it every fucking night by Taehyung’s dream form, but you never really associated it with Jimin. He always seemed so calm and in control of his urges, not unlike Taehyung who fully embraced them. Could it be that he wasn’t interested in your blood? Or was he just being respectful?
You thought about Lisa’s words and you couldn’t help but feel a burning heat in between your legs. Did the bite of a vampire feel as good as she made it out to be? Taehyung had bitten you in your dreams and it was always enjoyable but they were just that, dreams. Suddenly you remembered the night you decided to go to the night wing: when Taehyung bit that girl’s neck she was ecstatic, even moaning. You thought she just had some sort of fetish, but now everything made perfect sense to you - it was the power of the bite.
Suddenly you found yourself wishing Jimin would bite you. You wanted him to crave for your blood, you wanted him to feed on you, you wanted him to-
“Well, I think we should leave,” Yujin announced as she got up from the floor, breaking your train of thought. “Do you want to stay with us tonight Eunbin?” She asked the other girl as she gave a stinky look to the couple who were now basically dry humping each other.
“Yes I do, thank you!” Eunbin sighed, feeling relieved that she didn’t have to share the room with the horny duo. She picked up a couple of her things and left with the two of you.
“Behave!” You shouted before you closed the door, only humming being heard as a response.
You didn’t sleep a thing. Firstly, because Eunbin snored the whole night through and secondly because you couldn’t stop thinking about the possibility of Park Jimin sucking your blood - the more you thought about it, the more you wanted it to happen. You were fully aware that, in doing so, Jimin would be able to track you but, you didn’t care. The whole time you had known Jimin he had always cared for you and your security so maybe that wouldn’t be that bad of a thing. Besides, if Taehyung ever tried anything funny Jimin would be able to protect you.
“Good morning cara mia,” the culprit for your insomnia said in that sweet tone of his that always managed to turn you into putty. He placed his tray of food right in front of yours and sat down. He greeted your whole group of friends, but the sweetness in his voice disappeared as he looked to Chanyeol.
“Good morning Jimin,” you smiled at him, your voice bringing back the sweet aura in him. You looked at his tray and noticed a pack of Oreos, your heart speeding up at the fact that he had remembered just how much you liked the cookies.
“You can keep them,” he picked up the pack of your favorite cookies and placed them on your tray, “I bought them just for you.”
“Awww, that’s so sweet Jimin!” Lisa commented right from your left as she stuffed her mouth with waffles. “How did you know that’s the way to Y/N’s heart?”
“Call it intuition.” His eyes turned to yours, the smug expression on his face making your cheeks burn.
“Oh, is that one of your vampire powers?” Lisa leaned in to whisper, catching Jimin off-guard. His eyes snapped back at her. He lowered his gaze to her neck, only then registering the suspicious scarf around it. His eyes darted to Chanyeol, the silver-haired boy immediately averting his eyes. Jimin had a neutral expression which, to the outsider, would pass by as normal, but his aura was a powerful one - he knew Chanyeol had drunk her blood.
Taking into consideration his reaction to Taehyung having your blood and now Chanyeol having Lisa’s maybe you could assume that it’s somehow taboo? Maybe there’s some sort of rule against it in the vampire community. Or maybe it’s even a school rule. Even so, you couldn’t help but feel a dash of disappointment hit you. Maybe Jimin would never want to take your blood, maybe he would even judge you if you asked him.
“You can say that,” Jimin’s sweet tone was back, but his powerful aura still managed to uphold the tension. “That’s a pretty scarf on your neck,” he pointed out, and you knew exactly where he was going with this. Your eyes took a second to look at your friend’s boyfriend and you noticed him flinch, his shoulders rising up high.
Given the stature of both men, you would probably think that Chanyeol would have the upper hand if, for some reason, they ever decided to fight each other, but the way Jimin made him flinch with just one look convinced you otherwise.
“Oh yeah, I have to wear it because, you know,” Lisa pulled down her flowery scarf to show Jimin the puncture wounds on her neck, something that made you cringe - she always liked to overshare.
“Those seem painful,” Jimin noted as he inspected her purple neck, “are you okay?” His voice was soft and his eyes seemed caring, but you knew that he was worried. He wanted to know if it was an act of consent.
“Oh yeah, don’t worry! I asked for it,” she straight up confessed, an innocent giggle being thrown in the mix.
“You have to be more careful though Lisa, you can’t go around showing those to everyone,” Jimin’s tone was different now: it was still sweet, but very assertive, like a parent lecturing their kids on what not to do.
“Y-yes of course, I just showed it to you because you are like ‘Yeolie here, so I thought-” she tried to explain, her bubbly demeanor faltering a bit.
“That’s enough baby,” Chanyeol intervened as soon as she compared the two vampires, placing his hand on her arm.
The tension suddenly rose tenfold.
You couldn’t stay still in your chair; your heart was beating erratically and your leg was jumping up and down. Jimin smiled but his aura was far from sweet. The comment had ticked him off, but he tried his best not to let it show by speaking in his characteristic saccharine tone: “next time be more careful Lisa, you don’t want to put your boyfriend here in trouble.”
“What do you mean in trouble?” She asked, genuinely concerned about Chanyeol.
“Well, this is a well-protected secret, imagine what would happen to Yeolie here if said secret got out from his girlfriend,” Jimin warned, giving particular emphasis on the nickname Lisa had given her boyfriend.
“It’s not like that, she’s not going to say anything, right baby?” Chanyeol asked Lisa, desperately trying to defend the both of them.
“No, I swear, I’m good at keeping secrets! You can ask Y/N!” She threw the conversation back to you, Jimin’s eyes immediately turning to you for confirmation.
“Yeah Jimin, don’t worry. She won’t tell anyone, I promise,” you smiled at him, his demeaning aura dissolving away at your smile.
“Fair enough,” he turned back to Lisa, this time with a much lighter mood. “I hope you understand my position Lisa, it’s nothing against you,” he smiled before he took a sip of his coffee.
“No, of course, I understand. My mouth is a sealed tomb,” she closed her mouth and made a hand gesture signalling that she was sealing her lips shut, making Jimin giggle.
There he was being hot and cold again, you thought.
“Good,” he commented before he gave his full attention to you. “Y/N, would you like to go for a walk in the garden with me after the classes are over?” He suddenly asked, catching you off-guard.
“I’d love to,” you answered as you opened up the pack of Oreos he had gotten for you, your chest feeling much lighter now that the tension was gone.
The day had passed by fairly slowly but, thankfully, the last class was almost over. You looked up at the big white clock on the wall and watched as it ticked away, the pointer getting closer and closer to five.
You were nervous about being alone with Jimin - you couldn’t stop thinking about him all day. Through all your classes you managed to sneak a peek at him every once in a while when you thought he wasn’t looking. Of course, you managed to get caught a couple of times by him and your teachers, which didn’t help your state of nervousness.
Your mind kept on questioning numerous things about Jimin, after all, you only knew his name and that he was a vampire. You wanted to know more about him and, specifically, you wanted to know what his relationship with Chanyeol was. When it came to Lisa’s new boyfriend, given the nature of your first encounter, you had to admit that you weren’t his number one fan. You still fully didn’t trust him even if he had apologized to you, but the way he reacted when Jimin was around...was almost like he was afraid of him. You wanted to question him on that but at the same time, you were afraid you were overstepping your boundaries.
“Class dismissed,” the professor announced as the bell rang, students immediately packing up their notebooks into their bags and leaving the classroom. You took your time packing up your things, knowing fully well that Jimin was waiting for everyone to leave. Your friends waved goodbye to you, a mischievous smile on their faces as they left you alone with the vampire.
“Are you ready Y/N?” he sounded from behind you, his presence alone sending shivers down your spine.
“Yes.” You closed the zipper of your backpack and got up, swinging the bag to your back and placing your arms in the straps.
Jimin was leaning on the desk behind you with his hands on the pockets of his navy blue pants and with a warm expression on his face as he observed you. When you looked at him, you couldn’t help but glance over his whole body, your eyes immediately focusing on the way his thighs filled up his pants to the brim. And what about the way he had unbuttoned the top two buttons of his white shirt? Sinful.
“Let’s go,” he said in an amused tone, clearly noticing the way you were just oggling at him. He got up from the desk and walked towards the exit, your legs then walking on their own accord and following right after him.
The gardens weren’t that far from the location of the classroom you were in, but you and Jimin sure did take your time getting there - you were in no rush, after all.
“So Y/N, how did you sleep last night?” Jimin asked, taking the lead in the conversation. You were glad he was talking about other things and leaving what just happened alone but you sure wished he had asked about another topic. What were you going to say? ‘Oh, I actually couldn’t sleep because I kept imagining you sucking my blood and making me cum’. Absolutely no way.
“I’m just asking because you were worried about your friend and that Chanyeol boy and given that he bit her…” Jimin added once he saw you hesitate on the answer. “You might have felt traumatized by what happened at the Halloween party.”
“Oh.” A warm and fuzzy feeling spread through all over your chest, a soft smile immediately growing on your lips. “Yeah, I was a bit worried but I beat him up with a pink umbrella.”
Jimin laughed and you swore it was the most adorable laugh you had ever heard, a stark contrast to the aura he had on this morning. “And here I was worried about other vampires hurting you when they’re the ones who need to worry about you.”
You laughed, remembering the look of terror in Chanyeol’s face as you beat him up. “I was dead sure on protecting Lisa but then she assured me she was the one who had asked for it and he said he was sorry for helping Taehyung drink my blood so everything was kind of alright I guess. I still got my eye on him, though!”
“What did you just say?” Jimin asked, making you backtrack all of your words to find the source of his confusion. At first, you didn’t know why he was asking this but then it hit you: you hadn’t told him about Chanyeol’s involvement that night. “He helped that rat get your blood?”
“Yes,” you confessed being a bit scared of his reaction. “But he said he only did it because he owed him big time and Taehyung said that his debt would be paid. Plus, he didn’t do anything bad, he just had to fight off the imaginary rogues created by Taehyung and then convince me to give him my blood.” You honestly didn’t know why you were trying so hard to defend Chanyeol. Maybe it was because of Lisa or maybe it was because you didn’t want Jimin to get mad, who knew?
Jimin didn’t say anything, he simply took a deep breath and spoke: “do you trust him?”
“Well, not 100%, but I do think he spoke the truth on that matter…”
Jimin turned to you and placed his hand on your shoulder, your skin tingling at the contact. “Then I trust your judgement,” he said with a smile.
“Thank you…” a blush crept up on you as his eyes looked deep into yours. “Hey, can I ask you a question?”
“You can ask me anything you want, cara mia.”
There he goes again with that freaking Italian nickname that makes your heart race, you thought. “What’s your relationship with Chanyeol?”
“Other than the fact that we’re both vampires who go to this school none, why?”
“He seems like a completely different person when you’re around. It’s almost like he is afraid of you or something,” you explained as you looked back at him, the smirk on his face telling you he was satisfied with your revelation.
“Is he now?” He chuckled, “that’s because he’s a lower-level vampire.”
“A lower-level?” You were confused, weren’t they all the same?
“He was turned into one,” Jimin nonchalantly explained as he stretched his arms behind his back.
“And you weren’t?”
Jimin chuckled, finding your question amusing. “No. I was born like this.”
“Wait, that can happen?” You stopped in your tracks to look at him, the information coming as shocking to you. You had always thought vampires were turned by other vampires, but this just made you realize that maybe all the fiction stories are bullshit.
“There are two types of vampires: those born to it and those turned into it. Then, the purer you are the higher your status is.” At this moment the both of you reached the big glass doors to the gardens, Jimin being a perfect gentleman and opening it for you.
“Thank you,” you walked outside and were met with the magnificent flowery scent, immediately taking a big breath.
“But what do you mean purer?” You continued on with your interrogation.
“Along the years, as it’s only natural, vampires have mixed with humans. Their offspring are born vampires, but their blood is mixed with human, so they are not what you would consider as pure.”
Your eyes shot wide open. Before this conversation, you were convinced that vampires couldn’t even have children, much less with humans. The lore sure was that much different from the truth, you thought. “Vampires can have babies with humans?”
“Well, it’s more complicated than it seems. The human female must have vampire blood in her system so the sperm can adapt and survive in her body,” he explained as he sat down on a stone bench under a beautiful blooming tree. “And then of course if we’re talking about a female vampire she won’t be able to procreate with a human because her body will recognize the human sperm as foreign and kill it.”
This whole information was making you dizzy. You sat down next to him and sighed, your eyes looking into the distance, trying to piece all the information together in your brain. “Wow…”
“I know it’s a lot,” he placed his hand on your shoulder, making your heart jump.
“So you’re pure?”
You didn’t mean that like a compliment, you were simply asking, but Jimin seemed to take it as one. “I was born into a long line of pure vampires.”
“So that means you’re kind of like the alpha?”
“I would prefer if you didn’t compare us to those werewolf freaks but yes, you could say that.”
“Wait. Werewolves exist?!” You didn’t know how you didn’t think of that. If vampires exist then why couldn’t other mythological creatures?
“I’ve come across them once or twice…but they were all jerks,” Jimin revealed, the tiny frown on his face showing you that he was remembering something unpleasant. Guess some fictional aspects are true, you thought in relation to the feud between werewolves and vampires.
“Is there anything more you wish to ask?” Jimin’s frown was all gone, his eyes now looking at you with fondness.
“Mmmm,” you tried to remember something to ask and were coming up short until his own eyes gave you the answer. “Oh yeah! Why are your eyes sometimes silver and others brown? And why are other vampire’s eyes red?” You refrained from mentioning Taehyung’s name, wanting to keep Jimin’s mood light.
“Well, naturally vampire’s blood is silver but the less pure the vampire, the more on the coppery side their blood is because it’s mixed with human blood,” he started off, getting your undivided attention. “The blood is visible in our pupil and you can watch it swirling around. Thanks to that, you can see the pureness of a vampire through their eye color. Mine are brown at the moment because I’m using a perception filter so people from the day course don’t freak out.”
All of this was fascinating to you, and you couldn’t help but want to see it with your own eyes. “Can I see your natural eyes?”
“Of course, give me a second.” Jimin closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened them again the brown was all gone. He then reduced the distance between the two of you and you felt like your heart was about to jump out of your chest. He grabbed both of your hands and placed them on his cold cheeks, signalling you to look right in.
“Wow,” you exclaimed in amazement. Rivers of silver twirled around in his pupils, tiny sparkling particles catching your attention. His eyes were so mesmerizing that you almost felt like you were being pulled in, ready to take a dive into the magic of him. “They’re so beautiful.”
“Not as beautiful as you...cara mia.”
Everything stopped. Your heart. Your breathing. Your thoughts. You might as well have dropped fucking dead because Park Jimin just ended you. How on earth were you supposed to resist a guy like him? You looked down at his voluptuous lips and felt the pull of temptation as they closed in on yours. They were so close you could almost taste them. His nose was softly running up on yours as his breathing tickled your skin. You were waiting for him to take the leap and kiss you but he never did - he wanted you to do it.
“Y/N…”
That was all it took - a whisper of your name and your lips were on his.
The moment was all so soft and tender. The kiss felt safe and warm and you swore his pillowy lips were the softest thing you had ever felt in your life. This was only your first time kissing him yet you already felt like you were addicted. You couldn’t explain it but it all felt so right. It was as if your lips were meant to be kissed only by his.
Suddenly a ringing from his pocket and you realized it was Jimin’s phone. Whoever it was, you cursed them for shattering this perfect moment between the two of you.
“Aren’t you going to answer?” You asked against his lips, even though you didn’t really want him to answer.
“Whatever it is, it can wait. This is more important” Your cheeks flushed, Jimin taking the opportunity to kiss them. He spread light pecks all over your face until he found his way right back to the starting point - your lips. The kiss became more passionate, hands pulling you in closer against his body and tongue softly entering your mouth.
You hadn’t even noticed the ringing had stopped, only registering it when it resumed shortly after. Jimin cursed between his teeth as he was forced to break up the kiss.
“Don’t worry, you can pick it up. I’m not going anywhere,” you smiled at him, pecking his lips one last time before he removed his phone from the pocket of his navy jacket.
“I’m sorry Y/N,” he apologized before he clicked ‘accept’ and put the phone up to his ear. “This better be important.”
You tried not to listen but you couldn’t help but hear a faint urgent voice on the other side. Whatever it was, as seen by the insistent ringing, was serious.
“What?” Jimin exclaimed, quickly turning his head to look at you with a worried expression and then looking away. “I’ll be right there.”
“Everything alright?” You asked as he hung up the phone and dropped it back in the pocket of his uniform’s jacket.
“Sorry, I need to go take care of some personal things…”
“Don’t worry about it Jimin,” you smiled at him, trying to make him feel less guilty about having to leave you like this.
“See you tomorrow?” He suddenly got up, his hand grabbing onto yours as if he didn’t want to leave you.
“Of course.”
“Goodbye cara mia,” he kissed the back of your hand and left you sitting alone in the garden, your heart still racing from the previous events.
“Mistress,” a frail-looking man entered the dark tent, immediately bowing down to the beautiful woman in front of him. Candles burned all around her, lighting the pages of the book she was currently reading.
“What is it, Tim?” The woman spoke from behind the book, not bothering to look at the man.
“The spell has finally worked.”
The blonde woman dropped her book to her lap, the candlelight being cast on her fine features disclosing a hint of interest. “And? What did it say?”
“He has already awakened,” the man revealed, never looking her in the eye.
Her lean fingers tightly gripped the hardcover of the book as she frowned in distaste. “Do you know where he is?”
“Yes mistress,” he sneered before he continued. “You’ll never believe it.”
The woman got up from her wooden chair and made her way to her faithful servant, her feet stopping right in front of him. “Tell me everything, Tim.”
