ok so im like not the only person who agrees that trading in this game just hella sucks ass lately lol, like definitely theres still a lot of really kind and sweet people on it who i appreciate a ton but it feels like a majority of the time ur just trying to find ONE person that isnt just blatantly falsely advertising in hopes that theyll lowball you or is stingy as hell with the pets theyre trading, and like you said it feels like most people would rather crosstrade in flight rising than actually take the time to work their way up in this game its getting that bad, like i cant even fucking trade for THIS MONTHS LITTERS without people being stingy its like whats even the point man 😭 i thought petsites were meant to be relaxing and a nice way to pass the time but the playerbase makes it anything but

What pmo the most are the idiots who have everything wishlist locked but then literally the only things on their wishlist are Very Rares+ or list pets. Like okay I'm sure you'll get a sunback for your April 2026 OMGSC

What a stupid fucking decision

I am still pissed about the banning "MA" and whatnot.

It was a consistent label across the ENTIRE site, with a clearly defined meaning (A mid-tier pet from the 2008 Christmas advent).

Newbies didn't know what it meant, but it was VERY EASY to find out what it meant.

Now, every guide has its own label- the most common of which being H for Horror's guide, which means THE EXACT SAME THING

if I try to search "h" in the forums, it's going to show me every fucking post ever. If I'm trading with someone who uses a different guide, I have to try and figure out what THEIR definitions mean.

"we won't give you defined values because it will stifle the user-built economy!" they said, only to KILL THE USERBASED ECONOMY

at least they're FINALLY going to fucking do something about all the ninja traders. I wonder if it'll be retroactive and hit horror and bernouli lmfao (i know it won't, but boy wouldnt that feel so fucking good)

I miss the days where:

1) Your trade rules had to be legible, not eye-bleeding colors or size 3 fonts.

2) You LOCKED YOUR FUCKING NFT GROUPS.

3) You left a fucking trade message or it cmgot canceled, no questions asked.

4) USD art sales weren't allowed.

5) C$ and rares list weren't the only thing anyone accepted for art, regardless of the quality.

6) Ninjas were publicly shamed, instead of everyone having to resort to taking advantage of newbies to get anything even semi-valuable.

7) Paperclip trading meant FAIRLY trading your way up the rarity chain, trading for pets a few months older until you got one old enough to trade for the next rarity up on a newer pet (i.e., got an old enough Uncommon to trade for a current Rare), instead of people asking you to trade a Rare for their Very Common rat because they're "doing the paperclip challenge".

8) Where everyone and their mother didn't have wishlist-locked trade groups filled to the brim with Uncommon and below, but their wishlist is EXCLUSIVELY Very Rare and above.

They offered recent pets (no rares) for my friend’s December 18 pet, though my friend declined to trade their pet. I checked Kris's pet group “(ungrouped pets)” and they have many other Dec 18 pets, most of which they received from other new players, one of which is linked above.

They've been on CS since 2011, so there's very little reason why they wouldn't be aware of rarities or at least Dec 18 and ninja trading.

usually it's referring to the "rares' list" or to "horror's list" (which is basically the rares' list after the rares' list was discontinued, but people aren't mad about this one for some reason????)

basically just a list of pets based on what we know of their rarity coupled with their trading demand (though, we will never know any true rarities (like, exactly how many of a pet exist on the site) because nick and tess REFUSE to release that info (they want us to create our own economy, which means 400000 different values for the same pet depending on who you ask)

i think the only reason that puts me outside of this hellhole of trading is bc I don't have valuable pets to trade for and idk how ppl get it

I'm actually pretty glad for it. since I was a young girl, I knew I didn't wanted rare things (not only for the meme but that's also something real about me)

people get rare pets by trading stuff from flight rising and wajas, or by having old and valuable trade fodder on cs itself. or you get people making new accounts pretending to be brand new players, getting super rare gifts, and then slowly siphoning them towards their main accounts and flying under the radar.

also, by using C$

it always kills me that everyones dreamies are like, the same super-rare pets tbh. like okay you totally want the dragon cat pps because you love it, not because it's hella valuable *eyeroll* i see so many people list valuable pets as dreamies, then trade them away within 24 hours of them being gifted. meanwhile i still have basic dreamies i got gifted years ago stuffed away in locked groups lmao

i know bernouli was but i don't think they're on staff anymore? a lot of the staff are well known for ninja-trading, especially around the holidays. just look at any of the ones with extremely rare pet hoards and you usually have a good indication (not 100% of the time, but there are a lot of people with those sorts of hoards that do, staff included)

I've noticed vampiric and sorren fey have created diaper items in the past, and sorrens linked toyhouse has a "diaperific contest" tab on their fursonas page. usually I wouldn't give this any thought but it's always sorren fey or vampiric credited when it comes to diaper items

aaron is absolute a ninja trader. half the staff are chronic hoaders. anyone with a huge adoption center of over 2k pets is absolutely skimming pets for themselves cs is rotted from the core and should just stop pretending to be for children/family friendly most of the 'new' accounts are just made to be able to shuttle rares around and make themselves look poor so they can trade vrs and up back to their mains

I've seen so many accounts saying, "I'm new! sorry if I trade unfair lol" that are literally 2 weeks old- yet have incredibly concise trade rules, lists of specific dreamies (that are all ER and OMGSR), groups of List pets. like.... excuse me? You're new, go out of your way to say so in your signature, trade thread, trade rules, and player bio- yet know and understand all of that, and have dreamies already????? Yet, at the same time, don't have any clear connections to existing accounts, like most actual newbies do??? (like, xyz is my sister! we trade a lot, they send me gifts since I'm new, plz don't ban- that kind of thing)

The site has become 100% "pay to win". You either need to pour tons of money into C$ or FR Gems to get what you want, or scam people. It fucking sucks.

Also, yeah, loads of staff and big name players are known ninjas and don't even hide it. I wish ninja trading was considered scamming, but it never will be because the staff fucking benefits from it too much.
