Small update!
The Art Issue is being compiled this month and will have an expected release date of May 1st, 2016. We haven’t forgotten about it!
Thanks again to everyone who submitted work.
We’d just like to thank everyone that submitted work for the upcoming art issue! Submissions are now officially closed and we’ll be working on compiling the issue over the next month or so.
Keep on eye on this website for major updates.

As the fiscal year in Japan is coming to a close, so is the submission deadline. If you haven’t already, take a look at our FAQ here and guidelines here.
Submissions will remain open until the 31st of this month.
With the weather finally warming up, most days at least, Spring is right around the corner. You know what else is approaching? The deadline for Connect’s art issue, C!
We’re looking for submissions until the end of March.
We have a FAQ here and guidelines here to follow for those interested in submitting.
Thanks to some great feedback and teamwork, we are happy to announce that we’re relaxing some of our guidelines for image submissions.
Ratios are no longer required, but rather recommendations.
We’ve also reworked the issue template so that it’s more friendly for photographers and their work.
Check out the updates here.
As always, contact the Head of Visual Media, Patrick Finn, via e-mail here, or through this website here with any questions.
Has winter finally arrived where you are? Are you huddled under your kotatsu, hiding from the frigid cold and lack of insulation? Why not spend that extra time putting together a submission for our special art issue, C?
Warm and sunny by you? No problem! Drag your computer along with you outside and soak in the sun while you put your submission together.
We have a FAQ here and guidelines here to follow for those interested in submitting.
Submissions are open until March 31st, 2016.
Connect Magazine, a publication created entirely by the English-speaking community in Japan and sponsored by AJET (read it here or download PDFs here), is releasing a special art issue in 2016. This issue will act as a public portfolio for the expat community in Japan, and as a chance for artists to get exposure and inspire readers.
However, we can’t have an issue without one very important thing: your submissions!
We need you to submit art you would like showcased in the issue. We have a FAQ here and guidelines here to follow for those interested in submitting. If you have any questions, contact the Head of Visual Media, Patrick Finn, via e-mail here, or through this website here.
The tentative deadline is March 31st, 2016.
