6-frame gif (attempt #2)
Another attempt at a looping sort of 6-frame gif (because I got some feedback regarding the previous one I did about it being too simple).
It’s showing a camera’s panning perspective from behind a hiker who is looking out at the view of a mountain range.
Iconic image recreation
Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima used as the base image, replaced with men wearing traditional Maldivian clothing, raising the first Maldivian flag (which was in all red).
6-frame gif (attempt #1)
Simplest possible 6-frame gif, I suppose. Wanted to make something with typography. I think I got the idea from a logo design I saw for a company called “drop”. Used the CYMK color pallette cause I just like them.
Vector work - Illustrator practice
Done on a Steve McCurry portrait of a young boy.
Logo design for Lost Humpback Soda (Work in progress)
The story behind the brand:
TL;DR version: Guy gets lost, had a soda to drink, met a humpback whale, came back and opened a company in the memory of his adventure.
It is the year 1887. Forester Gump was a businessman who owned a very successful whaling business. He had accumulated all the wealth that any man could dream of and he was only in his 30s. Yet, he remained a very humble man.
What people see me as vs. what I want to be seen as
I don’t want to defined by what I look like. I want to be defined by the work I do and by what I contribute to society.

Visual elements and principles in art
The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai, c.1830-32
This painting uses strong colors to drive the focus away from the softer background and shows clear movement by what it depicts; a wave. You can also see Mount Fuji set harmoniously behind the wave. The size of the wave shows how far away the mountain is from the wave.
Rocky Mountain Landscape by Albert Bierstadt, c.1870
The painting uses colors in a manner that clearly shows the texture of the elements. The painting works very diagonally, the main focuses being on the tree in the foreground and on the mountain in the background. The free space is of opposite color as well, bright in the background but dark in the foreground. You can also feel the immense size of the mountain in comparison to the trees.
Nighthawks by Edward Hopper, c.1942
Dull colors in the background and the contrasting brighter colors emphasize the focus of the image. There’s a very asymmetrical balance in the image, all the major elements weighing towards the right. A lot of free space on the left, once again supporting the area of emphasis.
