ADDICTS DESERVE TO EAT, TOO. people love to act as if struggling with addiction is some sort of moral failure instead of an actual real debilitating issue that has ruined some people's lives. if you're truly upset that some people who may be addicted, unhoused, or both, may use "your tax dollars" for food benefits, you might need to take a look at all of the ACTUAL things your tax dollars go towards. like bombing other countries and nations, stealing resources, indoctrinating the youth (specifically black and brown youth into the military to die for a very similar if not the exact same military regime and absolutely senseless wars, etc).
