Prediction:

Being the first appellate case on marriage to be ruled on, this is the case that will get to the Supreme Court. They will take it up next term and rule in June 2015. The Court will rule 6-3 that bans on same-gender marriage are unconstitutional, with Kennedy and Roberts joining the four liberals. Most likely, Kennedy will write the majority opinion. Or possibly Roberts will write it, for he is going to want to be remembered for being on the right side of history on this case and knows that his vote wouldn’t be deciding since Kennedy would clearly find for marriage and give a majority anyway.

Scalia will be a giant dick and write a whiny dissent about “but the Framers weren’t gay!!1!” that shows what a hateful, out of touch bigot he is, joined by Thomas and Alito.

Big Gay Inc will celebrate, the entire Gay Agenda having been successfully enacted in its entirety and all Gay Rights having been completely achieved. No other anything will ever be necessary, not even ENDA.

Tumblr SJW’S will be ever so pissed at this, but some poor soul is going to go too far in a rant about how awful marriage is in general and people celebrating are terrible scumbags. I will get pissed and rant in response about how that is clearly age-ist and many older queer people never thought this would happen in their lives and even though their criticisms are valid, it is not okay to denigrate someone else’s happiness because it will be an important milestone nonetheless.
