Rollo was a Viking who became the first ruler of Normandy, a region of France. He came from a noble warrior family of Scandinavian origin. After making himself independent of the Norwegian king Harald Fairhair, he sailed off to Scotland, Ireland, England and Flanders on pirating expeditions, and took part in raids along France’s Seine river. Rollo won a reputation as a great leader of Viking rovers in Ireland and Scotland, and emerged as the outstanding personality among the Norsemen who had secured a permanent foothold on Frankish soil in the valley of the lower Seine. Charles the Simple, the king of West Francia, ceded them lands between the mouth of the Seine and what is now the city of Rouen in exchange for Rollo agreeing to end his brigandage, and provide the Franks with his protection against further incursion by Norse war bands. Rollo is first recorded as the leader of these Viking settlers in a charter of 918, and it appears that he continued to reign over the region of Normandy until at least 927. Before his death, he gave his son, William I Longsword, governance of the Duchy of Normandy that he had founded, and after William succeeded him the offspring of Rollo and his men became known as the Normans, under leadership of Rollo’s progeny, the Dukes of Normandy. After the Norman conquest of England and their conquest of southern Italy & Sicily over the following two centuries, the descendants of Rollo and his men came to rule Norman England (the House of Normandy), the Kingdom of Sicily (the Kings of Sicily) as well as the Principality of Antioch from the 10th to 12th century AD, leaving behind an enduring legacy in the historical developments of Europe and the Near East. Rollo is the great-great-great-grandfather of William the Conqueror, or William I of England. Through William, he is one of the ancestors of the present-day British royal family, as well as an ancestor of all current European monarchs and a great many claimants to abolished European thrones. PSA TO ALL MY PET PARENTS

Please, please, please I am begging you, do not buy any Purina brand dog food. I know it’s cheap, I know that it’s a grocery store brand. But it’s cheap for a reason, kids.

Let me explain. I work at a pet store, and these little bugs? They’re moths, and they’re fucking nasty. They fly around constantly, and in the past six months, we’ve lost at least 2 full shipments of Purina One and Beneful food to infestations. They crawl inside the ears (the corners) of the bag, and manage to wiggle their way inside. Then, they can feast.

And the reason they feast? Purina food is crap. It’s shittily made, has shitty ingredients, and there have been studies that show that this food can cause seizures in dogs. (I’m on mobile, so I can’t source this, but a couple minutes on Google should prove me right.)

And even without those studies, would you ever want to feed your pet something that attracts such nasty little bugs? I will tell you from firsthand experience that they’re the most annoying little fuckers I’ve ever had the dishonour to know of. You don’t want these in your home, folks. You don’t want these near your precious pets.

For the love of all that’s holy, I’m begging you: Keep your babies safe and don’t buy Purina food.

if your pet eats purina beneful do your research because many consumers are reporting liver failure and even death. i think it is in your and your pets best interest to stop using beneful until this issue is resolved! i know we’ve been feeding my dog beneful for years now, just bought a new bag a couple weeks ago. but we’re discontinuing use and we’re gonna try something else! the other day she was feeling very ill too, and she doesn’t eat the food unless we put canned food on top of it. in my opinion, i think there’s definitely something going on! just make sure you’re informed on what you’re feeding your pets! keep your puppies safe! :)

People with dogs

If you have a dog and you feed him/her Purina’s Beneful please stop feeding him/her this product right now.

My dog has been eating this food for 2 years. She has had a seizure almost every month since she has started eating this food and we had no idea why. 

We had just finally heard by my sister that this product has been found to be a cause in seizures in dog. 

If your dog does have a seizure:

be calm and hold your dog

cover your dog up

talk to them

do not let them go anywhere

I know this from expierence. I am not a doctor nor a vet, but please do not feed your dog Purina Beneful.

My dog’s seizures has been getting worse and we simply cannot afford vet bills. So please catch it before it get’s worse and DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG THIS PRODUCT

Aujourd’hui j’ai appris un mot, alors j’ai décidé de vous faire une passation de savoir. Un petit hommage à toutes ces passations. Merci aux professeurs des écoles, de transmettre leur pouvoir à nos enfants. Merci à eux de transmettre ce pouvoir si important à la nouvelle génération ou de l’avoir fait avec les anciennes. Bref.

Je me rappelle de ma professeur Mme R. qui, chaque matin, nous enseignait la définition de 5 ou 10 mots. Maintenant je connais plein de mots et j’adore les manier. 

La définition de ce mot c’est l’ensemble de moyens médicaux mis en œuvre pour empêcher l’apparition, ou l’aggravation ou l’extension des maladies. Ça m’a donné envie de feuilleter le dictionnaire et surtout la partie des noms propres. Je suis arrivée en Tchétchénie. Le Mot que j’ai appris c’est Prophylactique. Lu dans un article nommant une « purge prophylactique »

C’est ma copine M. qui a publié un statut en communicant de manière calme et paisible sur cette purge que subissent les homosexuels de Tchétchénie. Il y aurait des morts… Ma copine M. a signé la pétition. En voulant la signer, je me suis rendue sur la newsletter du site , apparemment en allant déposer les signatures, les militants ce sont fait arrêtés.

Ce monde a de l’empathie ou bien ?

The best thing about Finding Dory was that almost every character, outside of Dory’s parents, has a disability. Dory has short-term memory loss. Nemo has his famous small fin. Destiny is extremely near sighted, nearly blind,. Bailey’s sonar doesn’t work all of the time. Hank lost an arm. You could even say that Marlin suffers from PTSD and anxiety. And none of these things stops or halts the character at all. And I think that is fucking fantastic.
