HEADCANON    —-    UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS    /   EFFECTS OF ABUSE

so  ,  let’s talk about how azalea’s fucked up relationship with her mother has warped her view on relationships as a whole  ,  shall we  ??   okay  ,  so we all know that mother gothel is an abusive woman who never really   loved   raps  ,  under the   guise   of a loving mother she used and abused her literally her whole life until eugene came around.   she was never even really a person to her  ,  gothel saw her basically as a living embodiment of the golden flower and the flower   ‘   belonged to her   ’.   her relationship with azalea is much the same  ,  minus the magical hair thing.   her daughters  ,  biological and otherwise  ,  are hers to fill whatever need she desires  ;   raps had filled her need for eternal youth and beauty and once that was ripped from her  ,  azalea now fills her need for   REVENGE.   since her birth  ,  gothel has been spoon feeding her whatever   lies  ,  FABRICATIONS   and   EXAGGERATIONS   she deems necessary to facilitate the same hatred that burns within her into her daughter.   all the while maintaining that azalea would be   NOTHING   without   her  ,  that no one would ever   love her   the way she did.

as such  ,  azalea has learned these manipulation tactics and therefore will employ them on anyone that she deems important enough.   she has a tendency to say whatever she needs too in order to keep people around   /   to get them to do what she wants and rejecting her comes with   consequences.    if she feels like someone is trying to distance themselves from her  ,  she’ll pull out the big guns when it comes to emotional manipulation and use scare tactics to prey upon innermost insecurities.   mother knows best  /  reprise is a great example of this  !!

hi guys I’m rlly sorry about my absence.   I’ve been trying to adjust to working my daycare job every week day and I’ve been battling a worsening sinus infection for a week and a half.  finally went to the hospital on saturday and got started on antibiotics so I’m starting to feel better now but it’s been an ordeal and my blogs have been low on my priority list.   hoping to change that soon but I really appreciate the patience  !!
