The paladin skims a hand over his leg, giving it a comforting squeeze.
“Breathe…you’re goin’ to worry yourself sick at this rate. You just body swapped again and took a nasty fall.”
That poor woman. Her eyes wince at the image of the splat.

The memory of the Disintegrate spell was fresh in his mind. It was going ninety miles an hour, hyper-analyzing every word and movement like a producer combing through a script for anything objectionable.
“Have you heard of some of the shorter plays that are about to be presented? I know KoTher’ai is the big talk at the moment, but there’s other good ones in production too in the meantime! Just sayin’…”
Eve takes a bitter sip of hot cocoa from under her mask, her lips pursed in a thin line. For some odd reason, the fey doesn’t discard the entirety of the mask to dine — it stays on her head as if it were sculpted to fit there, only lifting it partially so she could eat and drink.
“…Those productions are mine, by the way. A bit more light hearted and fantasy than what people are used to ‘cause folks like to be depressed for fun I guess, but they’re still good fuckin’ stories that I didn’t spend copious hours into the dead of night workin’ on for lil’ to no audience.
But it’s fine.”

"I still don't like it. But it's a good bad, you know? I don't hate it a fraction more than I did earlier." he said, elbow on the table and chin on his bicep, looking up at the yellow liquid in the glass in his hand.
he nods. "i understand. to a certain extent...liquor is liquor." he takes a long sip from the glass in his hand. "...just because it's objectively awful doesn't negate the effect." he makes a face.
Bolaire also took a sip, the mask briefly forming a grimace before going back to looking placid and calm (if a little trashed).
"See? Objectively terrible, but not bad. Not as bad. Shaper's tits, it kicks like a mule. Fuck, I've been spending too much time with Murray. Anyway. The point is. The point. Is. What is the point again?"
“Do you ever take breaks? I see you around often and never with food — or water.”
An awkward pause.
“…I’m new here and I don’t know how to properly start small talk.”

"No no, curiosity is a thing to be encouraged, especially in a museum." Bolaire said kindly, his mask forming into a smile. "To answer your question: my mask makes it rather difficult to eat or drink with it on, so I have two rather large meals at the start and end of the day to make up for not eating during it."

While we are playing dnd bachelorette with ingrid einfasen, I do want to throw the possibility of occtis/ingrid into the mix for consideration, 1) because occtis and her were friendly towards each other when they were younger, 2) because I like the idea of squishy wizard and giant axe wielding sorceress and 3) the funniest thing that can happen to ethrand tachonis is to have such rancid vibes that ingrid chose his undead baby brother who he personally murdered over him.
