Day 797.
Special thanks to all the people who have helped me be a decent dad to an awesome kid these last 2 and ½ years! Thanks for the emotional support, the financial support, for being in Nye’s life and making it interesting, for dealing with my moods and anger and general lack of being able to commit to anything else at all while we got custody sorted out, for the loans, and the talks and the understanding and for watching Nye for 10 minutes while I cooked or got laundry done or just snuck out for a cigarette or whatever. Thanks for being available for me and Nye even when you have your own shit going on in life. I couldn’t have done it without you.
Mom & Richie, Ludmilla, Kevin & Teresa, Khan, Cathleen, Albertine, Richie, Matt, Leena, Vanessa, my coworkers, Alex, my employers, Curt, all the people who donated when I was in danger of losing him over some nonsense, the photo community in general, all the parents who at one time or another looked after Nye even with the familial stress going on, family and friends in NY who came through when I needed it, that judge for finally figuring it out, etc, etc… the list is by no means exhaustive…
It’s impossible to not feel grateful with so many people invested in Nye’s well being, I wish every kid had this kind of support. Thanks!
