meitantei precure's supporting cast seems to have strong characterization so far, i'm so excited what they'll do with all that. I LOVE how Jett-senpai's age is not just a quirk, he is functionally the adult supervisor of the team, he genuinely holds responsibility over them

The way he talks to Anna when giving advise and encouragement it's set up like your dad comforting you because you're feeling down. His observation of their friendship is like someone who has been watching over them hanging around in the playground. And he's capable of conveying to them important values like questioning evidence when necessary or here, how reviewing the timeline of events and observation is important

I've seen people complain that Anna and Mikuru feels too much like each other, and I didn't think this was a problem bcs overall they feel like two teenagers getting excited over each other when they visiting for a sleepover, and I'm glad that both of these perspective were given validity

I LOVE how the villains are in genuine position of fear. It reminds me of Hugtto's take on villains but more classic magical girl with extra drama kid aura. The use of information too, in the mangaka episode we learn that the villains have to also do their mystery solving, but I didn't even notice the villains had no information that Anna is from the future or that future theme is related to the hints they get, the story is so well set up both the overall plot and the episodic structure

Also Nijee, the way he desparately trying to appeal to Usonoir despite already gaining two makoto jewel makes so much sense by the end of the episode. The trembling fearful voice trying to desperately appeal to Usonoir as the camera showcase the rest of the team's fear gave their role as henchman so much weight. I have so many questions, like what IS cure arcana shadow's deal ? is she undercover ? is she doing a change it from the inside thing ? does she have connections to usonoir ? WHAT ICE CREAM FLAVOUR WOULD SHE EAT NEXT ?!!!!

I already love their return to have a large civilians participation in plot, it reminds me of doki-doki a bit. I hope the reoccuring casts gets as much love

LISTEN !!!!!! her eye shapes are similar, her age falls in line with the timeline, this would explain her casual attitude to Yuki transforming into a human and introducing herself, Similar colour and design to Lilian + the limited art we get has similar vibes to Nyammy, ALSO the way her hair bangs part ????? I AM A STAR DETECTIVE AND THIS IS MY ANSWER !!!!!

In the past we've had fish out of water stories but this could be their attempt to truly explore the deeply lonely implications of being stuck alone somewhere and heavily relying on the kindness of somebody else.

Mikuru already has an entire life before Anna timeslips, while right now all Anna have is Jett Senpai and Mikuru. I don't think Anna is being jealous here, maybe partially, but more importantly She's realizing how much of a lonely position she is in. She is literally standing outside the gate- right outside the edge of the boundary of Mikuru's world.

Anna maybe our main character, but she is an intruder in Mikuru's world. She's a mystery that needs to be solved, and when that happens she will nolonger be part of Mikuru's life.
