Art by https://artofisuri.com/ and published by Taneka Stotts in the Elements: Fire anthology. If you potter about Taneka’s website, you’ll find links to more of her comics work, some of it free to read (check out Casual Hex on Webtoon for starters).
This comic was republished in PanelxPanel, a superb comics crit magazine you should check out. It’s run by the excellent Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou who makes Strip Panel Naked.
An early collaboration with https://artofisuri.com/ for INKBRICK - a really brilliant poetry comics anthology series that sadly, shuttered recently (you can still buy copies at the link though). Editor Alexander Rothman has some work on his site, too if you’re hungry for more poetry comics.
Art by Linki Brand. This comic was made for the 24Panels anthology to raise money for people with PTSD caused by the Grenfell Tower fire of 2017. There’s still copies on sale - please buy one if you can.
A long time ago, https://artofisuri.com/ agreed to collaborate on some illustrated haiku. We made a set of these (more below) and learned a lot about how these aren’t really haiku but maybe some related species like senryu or zappai. Isuri has a couple of free comics here if you want more of her gorgeous work.
Titles
Published by the lovely folk at INKBRICK towards the end of their spectacular run of comics poetry anthologies. Their books are still on sale so if you have the cash to spare, have a browse. I did the art on this one myself (all the artists I know were swamped with work) and there’s better ones below, with a bunch of artists you should check out and support if you can.
Deadlines, eh?
In 2015, we had to make this apology for Podi, a graphic novel I co-wrote with Navin Ratnayake. It’s being drawn and coloured by the gifted and long-suffering https://artofisuri.com/ and it’ll be published by Oni Press when the apocalypse ends. Updates and pictures from the actual comic on our Instagram in case you want a peek.
Why yes, I *have* worked in an office before.
Art by the amazing https://artofisuri.com/
Mmm...teeth.
Got really angry about practitioners of traditional medicine murdering our loris population for their fake remedies. Luckily https://artofisuri.com/ felt the same.
I don’t know. Go away.
2015 wasn’t nice. Illustration by https://artofisuri.com/
From March, 2015. I still miss Terry Pratchett
I shouldn’t be allowed to draw these but sometimes it’s hard to find an artist with free time.
In 2015 there simply weren’t enough poems about tardigrades. Illustration by https://artofisuri.com/
