If I can’t afford the surgery they’re recommending euthanizing Misha. I just can’t right now. But I’m gonna spend some time with him
I’m never going back to this place unless I absolutely have to. They made it sound like they were one of the only places equipped for this surgery. It sounds like their primary should be able to do the procedure for hopefully half the price. I will call tomorrow and check.

Because the doctor basically told me either pay $6,000 on top what I have already spent or kill my cat. I get these places want to make money, but that’s just wrong.
Once I get an estimate from my primary or the vet prior to this one, I will likely post something asking for donations. I have to do it, but killing a 4 year old cat because my finances are tight because they maxed out my care credit is wrong. I just want to be as transparent as possible and only ask for what I absolutely need.
At least I got to spend some time with my sweet boy. He jumped up on the seat and nestled his head against my forehead and his booped my nose with his. I love this little boy so much.
This has to be a quick turnaround and I apologize for that.
My vet can get him in for surgery on Monday for $1700-$2500 (better than the $6,000 for the emergency vet) But he needs to remain at the emergency vet until Monday morning - another $1200.
So, overall about $3700. I'm honestly not expecting to get much, but I'm going to try to save my cat.
This surgery is still tenuous. If he fails his bloodwork on Monday, no surgery. Or if a miracle happens and he can urinate after today's catheter no immediate surgery. If either of these two things happen, I will return any money received if the surgery doesn't happen - unless you specify that you would like the funds to go toward the amount I have already accrued.

I also understand that to some Misha is just a cat, but he means the world to me. He always knows when I'm sad and will snuggle with me. He's the best snuggler. And his sass makes me smile.
