A little history- this reading caterpillar and mushroom once housed in the children’s section of a library- my hometown library growing up. On a whim, I made a day visit and while exploring an antique store, ran into my old acquaintance.

So fun story, I already have these two bears, but there’s a third piece in the set- a table. Saw this and got excited only to find there was no table. Alas, I’ll keep looking.

I found this chair and its match on the sidewalk when I moved out of my parents house. I have sat on it pretty much every day since and the seat was really looking like it!!!

In a stroke of luck I found some gorgeous upholstery fabric at the thrift store and thus began a fully satisfying two day project refreshing my beloved seat

And the final result is something I am so so proud of

Look at that!!! It matches so well, too, on top of everything, especially considering it was just some fabric I picked out of a basement.
