Been thinking about sea wolves. Prints.
One of Paul Nicklen's coastal wolves.
I'm headed to the area where these wolves roam. It would be a dream to spot one.
Astrophotography take two! Pinwheel Galaxy (2nd stacked exposure, two 45min sessions) and the Moon.
Patron Saint of One Way Trips
Was messing with a fun colour palette and it turned into some PHM fanart. And I can't remember where I heard the cool title from, so title credit to another artist :')
Plus two initial sketches.

What do you use for astrophotography? I love astronomy and I want a telescope for my birthday (I was thinking about the Celestron 31042 AstroMaster 114EQ, but I'm totally a newbie here)
Absolutely. If anything, you sound much more savvy than I because that's better than what I have! So you might have better luck asking an astro club or something. But I'll share what I'm using. I recently invested in a 'smart telescope' from Dwarf Labs, because I'm travelling to some dark, remote Canadian locations over the next few months, and need something that'll fit in my backpack. They're relatively easy to use, and come with a built in tracker to help you locate celestial objects based on your coordinates. It even comes with an app that tells you what's currently visible (not me chomping at the bit for Andromeda to come back).
Lastly purchases come with programs to help you stack images if you're not savvy with that, so I think it's a fantastic little telescope for someone just beginning. It may not be the most powerful, but it does help remove a lot of friction for someone new to the hobby (like me).
And for beginner beginner I can't recommend the Pixel phones enough. It has a kind of secret astro mode if you can get it steady on a tripod at night, allowing for long exposures. It auto-corrects for the rotation of the earth as well.
These were taken with my phone:
Lastly once you have your photos, if you want more data on what you've captured, Astrometry is a free service to help you analyze your images.
Woo that was longer than I meant it to be. I hope you have a lovely birthday and get yourself something nice!
Silly piece inspired by this drawing by @asmeesh (her stuff is great- go check it out). The spirit of Monday mornings.
I didn't do an exact 1-for-1 from the reference, as I wanted to try my hand at a properly groggy expression to work with the to-go mug. This piece was really an exercise in making something 3d out of a 2d image, so it's pretty experimental- I had a tricky time figuring out the anatomy on the left side, which isn't pictured in the reference. I think it turned out all right.
I'll probably paint this one as well once it's been fired. I'd like to put some moss on the rocks, and I absolutely want to put some kind of bright, cheery logo on the to-go mug.
So there it is. Enjoy the coffee-wolf.
HOLY SHITTTT Look at this beautiful Oakishly art piece! They brought my groggy coffee werewolf to life! It's so beautiful and perfect and HOW ARE YOU SO SKILLED, GOOD GRIEF
@oakishly you're incredible and I am so, so honoured. Thank you for this visual gift
I'm about to make astrophotography my entire personality. This is my first go with my new tracking camera.
M101/Pinwheel Galaxy. 45min exposure, hoping to do 3-4 more hours over the next few nights for a clearer image.
The March Ko-Fi blog is up! Comes with an InPRNT discount code and exclusive art timelapse.
This month's free phone and desktop wallpaper is inspired by my current movie hyperfixation, Project Hail Mary

My sibling got me watching Primal. I find the art style and colour palettes really inspiring, so I decided to draw from a screenshot for fun.
Learning astrophotography. Until I get a clear night, I'm practicing with my telescope/astro camera pointed at the sun (with filters). The dark areas are sunspots, the smallest of which is roughly the size of Earth.
This gravekeeper had some good news so I drew a silly gif
Last week while heading to the movies, we befriended a random Snake Dude. Snapped this photo of Odin who thought my friend's hair was the best place to chill. Medusa vibes.
