Walking all the way until they had reached an open field in the middle of nowhere Ban turned around, eyeing the smaller Sin as he glanced down at him thinking of the words Gowther had just said to him.

 “Lets get one thing straight right away. Yes I do want to beat your ass for those shitty things that just escaped this annoying mouth of yours. However, this is more of a lesson for ya then a normal beat up Gowther! what would you learn from this fight if you don’t feel how I’m tearing you apart?~♫“

Ban hummed as he squinted a little, playing with his weapon.

    The doll adjusted his glasses, listening to the other sin quietly. Tilting his head quietly, Gowther let the immortal say his peace. Amber eyes looked void of emotion and he simply waited for Ban to attack. “Well, would you like me to fight back? Or shall I stand here and let you do your worst?” He was being serious, not sure what Ban wanted out of the situation.

He blinked as the stranger’s hair changed, his mouth opening briefly. Yeah, this world was definitely an interesting one. “Y…Yeah,” Skyler said with a small nod, glancing down at his Keyblade. He let it disappear in a shimmer of light soon after. “It’s a pretty unique weapon.”

His attention soon turned back to the other, Gowther, as he spoke up again. “I have no idea what it does?” he admitted with a small, confused gesture, though the smile returned to his face fairly quickly. “But my name’s Skyler, It’s real nice to meet you, Gowther!”

    The doll nodded a little, arms falling to his sides. “Light Search gives me the ability to tell if someone’s lying. It also let’s me see what the other is hiding, or if they’re hiding anything.” He tilted his head a little. “I also have Invasion, but I see no reason to use that on you. I hope you won’t change my mind.” Finally the doll stepped back, giving the other space. “It’s a pleasure, Skyler.”

Skyler wasn’t entirely sure how to react when the stranger got closer, though he didn’t move away. No, it just looked like he was…curious, apparently. “I dunno. I normally try to be as un-complicated as possible.” He had no idea how well the joke went over, but he still grinned at the stranger. “Dunno how well that’s been working, though.”

    The doll was quiet, looking over the boy’s features. His hair changed, matching the boy’s without him trying. “Your weapon is strange..but interesting.” Now his attention turned to the blade, head tilted with his curiosity. “I apologize for using Search Light on you. I’ve been told it’s rude and intrusive, but it helps me understand.” Gowther finally stepped back, amber eyes on the boy’s blue ones. “I’m Gowther..”

“Hey, whatever works?” He shrugged lightly, once again looking back at the Heartless. Whatever the stranger had done, it seemed to satisfy him. So Skyler couldn’t really complain. He summoned his Keyblade with a small twirl of his hand, letting the Shadow twitch away from him. “It shouldn’t take me too long. These guys aren’t that strong.”

Odd. It didn’t seem all that interested in the other person… Though Skyler just chalked that up to the Heartless being pissed off at him, destroying it with a quick slash when it lunged at him. “Aaaand done.”

     Gowther was quiet, watching and ready to help if the young male needed it. Amber eyes blank of any emotion, like usual. The doll was impressed by the use of magic, how quickly the boy seemed to summon the blade. “Fascinating.” He stepped closer to the male, examining the weapon. “Interesting..” it wasn’t long before Gowther moved a finger to touch the bandages. “Humans are so complicated..”

Well, that was really unexpected. Skyler expected him to ask, not…shoot him? Though if he had known what it was, he probably would have agreed that it was easier than explaining that he had chased the Heartless out of a nearby town. (Knowing Skyler, it would have ended up as an unnecessarily complicated explanation.)

“I gotta say, this is a first for me.”

    The doll lowered his arm and adjusted his glasses. “I apologize. It’s intrusive, but it’s easier than trying to decide if you’re lying to me.” He sighed softly, gesturing to the shadow. “Please, finish. We can talk after.” And it would give Gowther a chance to decide whether he should use his real name or a fake one he’s used in the past for disguising himself.

“Listen, uh…” Skyler’s gaze kept shifting between the Shadow that he had pinned, and the person that was staring at him. “This isn’t what you think it is. Unless you’re actually thinking about the right thing. Then this is totally that. But it’s not the wrong thing.”

    Gowther tilted his head, looking between the shadow and the male. After a moment, he pointed a finger at the male using Search Light on him to figure out exactly what was going on. “Interesting..”

 “There’s nothing wrong with it to my knowledge. Why? Is there something in it?”

     “You said you wished it were longer, but I actually find it to be quite a nice length..”

     “What’s wrong with your hair? It’s nice..” he didn’t understand. Hair was hair.

                what was his deal ? he didn’t like how his finger was directed at him, perhaps he could make a quick get away by morphing, though the other could possibly chase him down. ‘ are you some sort of mind - reading oracle ? it’s rude to invade others minds without permission, you know. ‘

       He sighed heavily, dropping his arm. “I was trying to understand why you’re hiding what you are..” amber eyes looked over the male as he stepped closer to him. “I find you fascinating..”

                was his aura sensed that easily ? strange. when the other stepped closer, the young man stepped back. he wasn’t taking any chances. ‘ i’m your average college student, i’m not quite sure what you mean, sir. ‘

     “Average? I believe that to be false..” he lifted a hand, pointing a finger at the male’s forehead. A small hum escaping him. “Why are you thinking about hiding something?”

“Sometimes you just don’t need to? Not everytime something happens, I want for everyone to understand. Just like there are secrets, that you’re not supposed to read. Like.. Did you never have something that you didn’t want others to know?” He wouldn’t be suprised if answer was no though. 

     “How long have you known me, King? Have you ever known me to hide something?” He didn’t really have secrets. Gowther had always been an open book.

     “That’s good. It’s being you that got you the rank you have. You’re one of the best.” Gowther looked up at the knight, emotionless as ever.
