It was only after I was halfway through this that I realized I've drawn a very similar pose for my OG (non DE) rarepair a long while ago. Time is a flat circle, haha. The only difference now is that there are people who actually ship this ^^;

I tried experimenting with the colors to try and capture the DE artstyle but it didn't work since I don't understand the process. If anyone has any tips (or a deconstruction of how the DE artstyle works) so that I can replicate that style I'd love to hear! In the meanwhile I'll just have to keep practicing. Maybe I'll try drawing the voices next.

A few days ago I discovered a DA group called Shadowlocke. I might not be accepted into the group before this deadline but there's no rush, honestly. I've never played an ARG before but I'm excited!

When reading books/listening to podcasts I don't really visualize characters (even if they've been physically described) so I have trouble designing characters . I don't *see* the characters I just *know* their presence when they talk, if that makes sense. The problem with this is that if I try to visual them then my brain will randomly pick a random character from any visual media I've consumed and assign it to them.

So when I hear John, my brain went: "Crabby deep-voiced divorcee? DJ Octavio from Splatoon." Which in retrospect is funny considering that they're both "kings" in some sense of the word...

Meet Tritium the Trubbish! I thought her up at work (a science lab that handles radioactive materials). Most of her design elements are based on the contact trash from around the lab although her feet are made up of my spare pair of steel toe boots that I keep under my desk, making her poison/steel type.

Day 1 vs Day 1220.  Just a warmup sketch while I finish up a commission I owe someone.  I like to think that Minkowski looks super crisp and pristine at the start of the mission and gets more untamed as her character (/the situation) develops.  Whoever made that post saying “Minkowski but graying hair” is absolutely galaxy-brained, btw.

I think Minkowski would still keep her hair in a ponytail even when it would get longer but I really wanted to show it floating in zero gravity.  And yes she would have MASSIVE bags under eyes by the end of the show; the look is absolutely necessary.  It’s a bit heavy-handed here (again, just a warmup sketch!) but I I think it really adds to her 1220 days of pure, completely justified contempt towards Goddard Futuristics.
