hi Daisie! you're one of the most well informed people around here and have some really rational takes when stuff happens so.. do you have an opinion about today's drama? i feel like twt fans are being dramatic but I kinda understand cause it is a big deal when he's blocking exclusively a larry ua, not that this is the reason but it just kinda gives a free pass to antis and solos to harass us. I wasn't here when they did this in the past (gaslight/alienate) don't really know what to think about
I'll be honest, I'm slightly side eyeing Louis' actions here. It doesn't make sense to me. Tho I do recognize that there is a LOT we don't know here.
All we have is the info HLD gave us, and from their understanding it happened because *someone* told Louis HLD was leaking stuff, and leaked/spread the festival info before he did. We don't know if there's 100% proof that this is the reason. Maybe HLD knows for a fact, but I understand if they can't post it. We don't know.
I just find it odd, impulsive and tbh a bit immature to block your biggest UA in what reads as a bit of a spiteful emotional reaction. Based on what? The word of ONE other UA? If one stopped to asses the situation they would see that HLD *didn't* leak the festival info. It was everywhere online and on the website of the venue, and a band who is playing in it had posted about it. So it makes little sense to put all the blame on 1 UA for it, especially when so many others posted too.
The only thing against HLD here *is* the fact that they *are* Louis' biggest UA and as such have the biggest reach. So perhaps in Louis' eyes that counts as the reason for them to be the ones to blame? But we don't know.
Regardless, I don't think this is a very smart decision on his part. HLD do essentially free publicity for him. And they have a massive reach. So it feels odd to basically freeze them out.
Other things at play that we simply don't know are:
We don't know HLD's previous relationship with Louis. Maybe they've spoken before, or maybe this was the culmination of other small things that annoyed Louis. WE DON'T KNOW
We don't know Louis' plans for his upcoming era. I'd understand if he wanted his identity as an artist to be independent from Harry. It makes sense as an artist. UAs get quoted in articles all the time, so maybe that is one factor that counts against HLD too, sadly. But regardless of Larry, artists want an independent identity, and being tied to another artist is not optimal. - and again WE DON'T KNOW
Also important to point out tho, he only blocked them on Twitter for some reason. HLD still follows him on IG.
Regardless tho, I just don't see this as a smart decision, and I'd imagine his management wouldn't approve this either, tho idk how much they care about these things, or if they even know. Regardless, I just don't see the need. But I also don't have all the facts, nor do I know Louis' actual reasoning here.
