Leah bounced up and down in excitement, her smile blissful, “Yay!” She reached forward to hug Aaron, but pulled up short, unsure of how she would be recieved. Instead, she patted his arm, her smile still bright.

"I’m very excited! I’ve always wanted to use one!" She blushed at her words, as if they were scandalous.

When asked about her own hobbies, Leah tapped her chin thoughtfully, then shrugged. “I was…” she paused, thinking of the right word, “…Classically trained. I can play the harp, piano, and sing, but…” she paused in uncertainty, all of the anger over her actual hobbie playing through her head, “…I…like to…read…”

Shrugging, Leah gave up at her attempt to make him smile. If he was determined not to have fun, she wouldn’t center herself around trying to get him to perk up.

Leah rolled her eyes at Aaron’s statement, a smile still lighting up her face. Though he was rather grumpy, Aaron had never been malicious to her, and he had even stopped cussing around her. Leah liked that.

Shrugging, Leah gave up at her attempt to make him smile. If he was determined not to have fun, she wouldn't center herself around trying to get him to perk up.

Instead she swayed around the dance floor, enjoying herself immensely. The song came to a dramatic finish, and Leah smiled brightly up at Aaron.

"That was really fun, Aaron ♥" She linked their arms and walked toward one of the food covered tables; she dropped gracefully into a seat and grabbed one of the small bottles of water.

"So, Aaron ♥" Leah took a sip of water, then looked up at him, "Do you have any hobbies?"

Smiling, Leah pulled Aaron onto the dance floor, glad he was being so cooperative. They danced in silence for a while, then Leah shouted over the music, “You know, if you’d stop frowning, you’d be a lot cuter ♥” She said it teasingly, hoping to get Aaron to stop...

Early Nights, Late Days [Chase/Leah]

Having eaten his fill of the radioactive mush they called food — he was most certainly not a sweets kind of guy — Chase sauntered over to the nearest student, bored to tears. If he recalled correctly, the girl’s name was Leah. Hopefully. That’d be an embarrassing mistake.

In the end, he decided to play it safe. “Hey.” He started off vaguely, nodding in her direction. “Not like I’m a pro or anything, but, you up for a dance?”

Standing on the sidelines, sipping on a glass of water, Leah watched as James--the only mentor who was actually a mentor-- danced with the decked out redhead who looked as if one wrong breath would spring her from her gown. Why would he dance with such a crass, obviously ill mannered person?

Leah was pulled from burning a hole in the redhead's back by a question from--Chase?

"Huh? Oh!" Smiling, Leah nodded enthusiastically, "I'd love to dance, Chase!"

Do I have to?

Aaron looked over at Leah with a bit of a frown. It was a dance… He should have fun. But he did not dance. He really was not a good dancer, at all. I’ll never hear the end of it if I don’t…

He sighed. “I guess…” He responded. He wasn’t even quite sure why she was asking him. It wasn’t like they were anything more than friends.

Aaron grew even angrier. "Excuse me?" He growled, shaking a little. Nothing made him angrier than people yelling at him for his language. Where he came from, language much fouler was extremely common. And part of him thought it was childish to go against cussing. However, he knew his place. And he knew when to step down. She seemed like an innocent- enough -person. And it was his job to protect the innocent. Or, it was his old job. Now all Sir cared about was making Aaron learn about those powers of his. Point is, he read the situation, and as much as he hated to, he knew what he had to do to avoid bigger conflict- and the possibility of frying her with his beams that he still couldn't control worth shit. He sighed, letting it go at last. "I apologize. I grew up around ruffians." he grumbled, getting up in his own. He would probably let a curse or two slip out every once and a while, but he wasn't there to get on anyone's nerves. Though the apology tasted like vinegar in his mouth.

Leah watched with mild interest as Aaron shook, slightly confused by his reaction. Was cussing really that big of a deal to him? Her question was answered when he spoke again.

"Oh!" Leah clapped her hands together in happiness, giving Aaron a very bright smile, "Well how kind of you♥" she giggled slightly at his comment about ruffians but otherwise remained quiet. Curiously, Leah looked around them admiring the glow of the sunset when it hit her. She'd forgotten about the bonfire! Her mouth opened into a small o, her eyes wide in shock.

"OH NO!" She looked up at Aaron, her expression aghast, "I forgot all about the bonfire! You must have too, otherwise you'd be there right?" Leah did a quick about face and began walking quickly to where she assumed the bonfire was being held. "C'mon Aaron! We have to get there before they start smores!"

He turned to her, his eyes cold and uninviting. “What.” He said coldly. He was not super excited about going to the school… But he had absolutely no control over his powers, according to his father. So, he was forced to go.

Aaron stared at her hand for a moment before shaking it. “Aaron…” he said simply. It had taken him a while, but after so many years of his sister calling him by his real name he had gotten over his issues with it. He took his hand away, suddenly getting the urge to sneeze. The sneeze sent a beam if energy shooting at the ceiling- the source, his hand. It caused him to fall over. He growled. “FUCK!” He screamed loudly. Every. Fucking. Time. God dammit!

Half glad he didn't hold her hand for long, Leah smiled. "Well it's nice to meet you Aaron...I like your na--" She was cut off by his sneeze.

"Bless yo--" Lean jumped back, her arms shooting up in front of her face automatically. Eyes wide, Leah lowered her hands, oogling at the hole in the ceiling. Talk about a school for the gifted!

"Wow, how--" Leah's mouth snapped shut at his foul language, a rosy tint appearing on her cheeks.

"Not to be bold, but I would appreciate if you didn't use such language around me." Leah, being the sweet thing she was, tried to sound as nice as possible--she knew he had a right to cuss, but hoped he would have the respect to obey her wishes.

Leah comes to a screeching halt, almost running into the boy. His reaction--cold and disinterested-- gave her pause. What was his problem? Mentally shrugging, Leah smiled up at him, sticking out her hand, "I'm Leah ♪"

Leah looked up and down the hallway, then back to the boy, a half-shy smile on her face, "I figured it would be good to start introducing myself to everybody. Since you know, a lot of kids got here early."

First Day Blues

((I lied in posting a starter now)) He groaned as he looked at his paper. It was bad enough that he had a roommate this year, but, of all people.. Why did he have to be on HER team?? Shouldn’t there be some sort of law against siblings being on the same team?! Why?! He curled under his breath. It was going to be one hell of a year, he could assure you that. He wondered on the campus, not wanting to be outside in the sun, but also not wanting to go inside and face his dorm. It was foreign to him. He was comfortable being secluded and alone. It was better for him that way. He liked it. He sighed as he looked up at the large building. Fuck this. He’d have to go in sometime. He opened the door at last.

Paper in hand, Leah stood on the front lawn. It was a warm fall day, and she was taking advantage of that by wearing a pair of white shorts and a pink, flower patterned tank top. Unfortunately, she had her own room, so unpacking had been very uneventful.

Determined to make friends, she was sick of never making any because of her mutation,  Leah was about to go inside and scout the recreation room when a young man walked inside. Interest piqued, she followed after him, eventually catching up.

"Hey! Excuse me!"
