on that note, i do hope if they ever do a reskin for jade that they keep 2 factors: 1) her pigtails, she would look strange without them imo. 2) at least two edit styles: the teal and the pink. that is literally all i'm asking for!

bonus: she keeps her night cycle reactivity, but that's more tough tbh.

things that must happen in order for the next season introducing sprites to be justified (otherwise it's just a lame gimmick):

1) a jade reskin. her brothers got a reskin (kendo got 1, daigo got 2), so there's no reason why she can't. with elite daigo being connected to the current map, i can see the siblings getting involved just as easy (they have no excuse to not do that!) the skin itself could even be revolved around the new theme, or simply a summertime look (like how they're doing with the new PJ reskin, who is a random girl rip).

2) jade being involved in the new lore. if you're going to take time to make new sprites and want your player base to care about them, then you need to also bring in the sprite girl. you know... jade's entire thing! she's the guardian of the sprites! she is the only one who can communicate with them!! WHY IS FORTNITE PRETENDING THAT ISN'T THEIR LITERAL CANON!? if they leave her out whatsoever, this season is straight up bs. and i'm not just talking random dialogue, she needs to be involved.

3) do not give jade's important role to someone else. this ties up with the above point, but i still want to make it obvious. if they fail to bring in jade, do not replace her with a new or returning character that would otherwise fulfil that role. that would be such a huge slap in the face! jade is literally RIGHT THERE. pls fortnite, do not forget jade and have someone else replace her. :(

4) an explanation as to why there's new sprites. considering they are central to the magic and setting of the past map (aka jade's home island, oninoshima), it doesn't make any literal sense that sprites would be on battlewood. my theory is that some alt reality shit happens, but they need to be sure to have the audience understand that these new sprites ARE NOT from oninoshima, and aren't as random as they appear. that they actually have substance even though they're not oninoshima related, and therefore would be new to jade, too.

if they don't do these things, this next season is immediate garbage to me. i will retcon the sprites of this chapter in my jade's canon without hesitation.

ngl, certain choices fortnite is making regarding the sprites has kind of killed my motivation here for a smidge. so i may shift my focus onto my other solo while i work that all out, so i can better access the new season on what i want to do for my jade's lore and development. that's if i even write tho tbh.

When revisiting the Oninoshima map, I found what looks to be a rockslide of some sort that is being cleaned up... (not sure if that's actually what this is).

Then knowing the headcanon we have of how their parents died, just….. ow.

there's like 2 chars in jade's primary canon that i would ship with her, maybe even 3. it would just need that plotted development. IT COULD BE SO CUTE THO. I CAN SEE IT.
