Asking Sebas to accompany her searching for Arche’s little sisters might not like it but she already have her approval from Ainz to delay her death as Arche was currently locked up on Neuronist’s jail cells. 

Shalltear needed company since Solution was busy and had no choice but to ask the butler instead.

“Since Lord Ainz doesn’t want me to go alone, i hoped you won’t mind accompanying me at Arwintar in order to find the magic caster’s siblings.” She had her reasons why. Probably to fulfill the last wish of Arche to see them once more.

Ever since the situation that shifted Nazarick to this strange world, Sebas had been wary that his own beliefs clashed with Ainz’s orders. This time, however, he felt curious to why he had shown such degree of mercy rather than eradicating them swiftly.

A familiar voice brought the butler back to his senses, turning his gaze to meet the owner of such tone, settling his dark eyes on the victorian clad vampiress. The request wast not unheard, and after politely bowing to Shalltear, he slowly nodded. “Since Lord Ainz does not require me for the time being, and seeing that Tsuare is currently with Pestonya, I am free to accompany you. When shall we depart?”

“I’m surprised that Lord Ainz decided to keep her around as a maid after you saved her. However, you can’t keep letting this girl continue to live in fear; it’s going to take a bit of time for her to overcome her fears, yes, but out of all of us – you’re the only one she seems to be comfortable with.” 

Demiurge’s hand comes up to push his glasses further up on the bridge of his nose; he hasn’t gotten to know Tsuare quite well enough yet, but he has closely observed her every now and then. And it’s odd how such a fragile young girl would want to stay away from those of her own race…

Even if him and Sebas always found themselves clashing often - they both had to at least figure out about what to do with the head maid.

“Unless you have better ideas, I would suggest speaking up while you still can. Especially since you two seem to be very close with one another…” 

He did not expect that kind of answer from the demon. He usually viewed mortals as nothing more than insects (a point of view that was shared among most of Nazarick’s dwellers). Such statements made him reconsider his point, brows furrowing slightly as he remained silent for a few moments, thinking about the situation.

“Hmmm…” he muttered in a low tone, trying to come with a possible way to help the maid deal with her trauma.

“Let her heal.” He stated in a low tone, being less defensive towards Demiurge. “For that, she needs to find herself once again and then she can focus on interacting with other beings.” The deep blue eyes of the dragonoid fixed on the demon; the stern expression being contrasted with a softer tone in his voice. “For now, the only bridge that can ensure a safe interaction with others is me. When she feels comfortable enough, she will manage to open to others as well.”

“Miss, you carry the scent of life and death over your skin. Just like Venus, you can ensnare and devour. I am certain my master would be interested in hiring you for your abilities.”

A stern look came from the butler, clearly not happy with the commentary coming from anevil aligned character such as Demiurge. Perhaps it was because of theircreation or because of their creators that they would end up clashing often.This seemed to be another of those times.

“Forgive me for making such a rash response to your statement but…what would be the best for Tsuare? I cannot help but to doubt that, despite your rational thinking, your own negative karmic nature gets in the way. I do not think you either know what would be the best for her.”

“I’ve heard this world has people with extremely powerful abilities. It is sad that, despite the premise, they aren’t stronger than a lvl 25 character. Oh well, they could work as specimens for Demiurge.”

She looks around with the confusion growing in her eyes. The place feels magical. Too magical for something that belongs to the world of humans. She does not feel the need to get any mana from others because she is here, she feels like she can fight in full power for days without the need to get additional help from any master. And this confuses her. The usual cold overcomes the confusion quickly, however, allowing her to look at where she is exactly. The former king in black armour shifts her gaze to see a…butler? 

“Hmph. It seems I have appeared in a quite peculiar place. Were you the one to summon me?” She noticed that she felt…stronger, but decided to not pay attention to the sudden realization. It would be useless without the knowledge of where she is and why she is here. 

“It seems that Lord Ainz calculations were correct.” The butler muttered once the pillar of light that had appeared in the center of the throne room had vanished completely, revealing the appearance of a female. It had been a product of an object that his master wanted to try; he had said it was a ‘promotional event’ which he was not aware what he meant by that. Then again, he carried preparations the way his master ordered. It seemed Lord Ainz was right on the mark.

The butler did not reply from the beginning, preferring to greet her politely by bowing to her for a few seconds before regaining his standing posture, ready to answer her question. “I was not the person that summoned you. The person who set this ritual was none other than the Supreme Being I serve: Ainz Ooal Gown. You are now in the Tomb of Nazarick.”
