FlOATING HOSHINCHU AIR BONSAI GARDENS
A new Kickstarter campaign by Hoshinchu Air Bonsai Garden has raised over $590,000 and there is still 27 days to go! Why are so many dedicated to this campaign? Introducing: The Air Bonsai // a floating miniature bonsai garden that suspends over a magnetic electrified pedestal.
Unfortunately for us living in the U.S., there are import laws that restrict Hoshinchu to ship their Japanese bonsai here. But there is good news; they are reaching out to plant makers in the states so we can enjoy this beautiful living art piece soon.
For more information, visit their Kickstarter campaign here.

Useful Ways To Use Magnets You Never Thought Of
More great uses for magnets!!
Custom DIY Magnetic Tins
Need a better way to organize your office supplies? Have a small space and need to store vertically?
Ursala from Home Made by Carmona shows us how to create Magnetic Tins!
Tins are a great way to store small items and they are inexpensive.
For this project we will need:
Party Favor Tins (or unpainted metal tins) (or small plastic containers)
High Glass Spray Paint (favorite colors, plus Clear spray for sealing)
8.5″ x 11″ Magnetic Adhesive Sheets (Can be purchased from Custom-Magnets)
Step 1
If tins have clear window in lid, remove before spray painting. Start spraying your tins with the lid still on (this ensures the lid will be able to easily come on and off without paint getting stuck in overlap area). Once completely dry, spray a top coat of clear to protect paint.
Step 2
Place the tin lids flat on the magnetic sheets and trace around with a pencil.
Ursala suggests tracing the inside of the lid so that it is a smaller circle than the lid. That way magnet won’t be peeking out the sides.
Step 3
Once the circles have been traced. Cut out with scissors. Peel back the adhesive liner and place a magnet on the bottoms of the tin.
Now fill the tins with paper clips, staples, tacks and other small office or kitchen items and place on a magnetic surface.

Can Magnets Kill Cancer?
According to South Korean scientists, this may be a possibility.
Earlier today we read an article on TheMindUnleashed.org that explained how they used a magnetic field to trigger cancer cells to self-destruct themselves. The process is called apoptosis.
"The body removes old, defective, and infected cells through the process of programmed cell death (PCD), or apoptosis."
"In apoptosis, the rejected cell responds to certain signals sent by the body by fragmenting. Immune cells then consume these fragments. The magnets help trigger apoptosis." -TheMindUnleashed.org
Professor Jinwoo Cheon of Yonsei University of Seoul and a team of scientists conducted successful magnetic field experiments on bowel cancer cells and over half of the cancer cells were destroyed when the magnetic field triggered apoptosis.

Whether magnets are the cure for cancer or not, we hope one day to find the cure!

Do you love nature and/or looking at beautiful images capturing nature?
So do we!
And that is why we are proud to be a part of wildlife photographer, C.A. Whiting's beautiful artwork capturing the scenic wildlife and nature setting of Utah.
This beautiful photo above was captured by C.A. Whiting at one of her favorite campsites in Lake Powell. See more from her gallery page here
Whiting mounts her lovely images on a foam board in a wood frame and then magnetically attaches each photograph. Therefore, you can switch and rotate her images as you please.
This Framed Art piece above of a wide elk is a part of her 5" x 7" Narrow Western-Raised collection found here.

Parking Pal Magnets
We recently caught word of this company called "Parking Pal" - which has a mission that goes as following:
Help reduce injuries to children in parking lots
Heighten awareness of the dangers in parking lots
This awesome company produces magnets with fun hand artwork on them to promote kids from aimlessly walking around a parking lot while their caretaker is still busy grabbing something from their car.
The idea is that the child keeps their hand on the "magnet hand" so they don't walk in the middle of the street or through a parking lot without their guardian.
Below is our favorite design: "DinoPal"
