I dont yap about all my art but for this one i will.
The working title for this was "a quiet goodbye". Sometimes you dont get the fanfare. The mission is last minute and the vanguards send you off alone. Thats what i wanted to capture because thats what it felt like.
Ikora is the professional one independently in frame. Crow is casual and leaning on something. Zavala is half turned showing a bit of reluctancy. Guardian was walking ahead and takes a look back. I dont think i need to spell out what they each represent.
For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
Bringing back the old taken king exotic class items as randomly rolled exotics that can be paired with other exotics. Are some of these effects broken, probably, but I don't develop the game, so I wouldn't know. Also, the column two effect will always work, even if you don't have the other exotic that the class item is lifebound too. Good luck with grinding out and getting all 16 combos of each!
Titan Exotic Class Item - Sunforged Soul (Mark of the Sunforged)
Column 1 - Lifebound to [Loreley Splendor Helm | Ashen Wake | Sunfire Furnace | Phoenix Cradle]: This exotic can be equipped at the same time as [Loreley Splendor Helm | Ashen Wake | Sunfire Furnace | Phoenix Cradle].
Column 2 - Sun God’s [Might | Grace | Dawn | Spine]:
Might: Roaring flames maximum stacks are increased to 4.
Grace: Restoration from your Sunspots are improved.
Dawn: Your scorch effects deal improved damage and generate melee energy when damaging a target.
Spine: Solar ability damage grants grenade energy.
(Might allows roaring flames to go to 4 {obv}, gaining 90% {pvp: 50%} increased ability damage at that level. Grace makes ALL sunspots give resto x2, including for your allies with phoenix cradle interaction, and welcome back og Loreley. Dawn is dawn chorus, 200% {50%} increased scorch damage and 5% melee energy per tick. Spine is YAS, though a bit of a lesser one cause throwing hammer, so only 12.5% per damage instance)
Warlock Exotic Class Item - Stormbearer’s Catalyst (Stormcaller Bond)
Column 1 - Lifebound to [Crown of Tempest | Getaway Artist | Stormdancer’s Brace | Geomag Stabilizers]: This exotic can be equipped at the same time as [Crown of Tempest | Getaway Artist | Stormdancer’s Brace | Geomag Stabilizers].
Immortal: Collecting an Ionic Trace restores health and starts health recovery.
Cataclysmic: Using an arc grenade briefly increases its recharge rate. While the buff is active, arc final blows extend the duration and grant Bolt Charge.
Insurmountable: Kills with arc melees restore melee energy.
Blight: [Super]: Cancel your arc super early, temporarily increasing Arc weapon damage and creating a blinding burst.
(Immortal gives 25 health on trace pick up and kick starts health regen. Cataclysmic acts like weavers trace from mindspun invocation. Using arc nade {including eating it with getaway} grants a Cataclysmic Storm buff for 6 secs, increasing grenade regen by 150%. Arc kills while the buff is active grants bolt charge and extends it by 4 seconds, up to 20. If you throw another grenade, buff will stack to x2|x3, granting 225%|333% increased grenade regen. Insurmountable is just like the titan Exotic, full melee energy on arc melee kill {bout to go WILD on prismatic}. Blight is blight ranger, cancel either arc super now, and doing it with either will create blinding explosions and tier 4 arc weapon damage increase.)
Hunter Exotic Class Item - Shaded Shroud (Nightstalker Cloak)
Column 1 - Lifebound to [Graviton Forfeit | Khepri’s Sting | Omnioculus | Orpheus Rig]: This exotic can be equipped at the same time as [Graviton Forfeit | Khepri’s Sting | Omnioculus | Orpheus Rig].
Hunt: On the Prowl marks up to two additional targets or one additional guardian. Smoke Bombs radius is increased.
Veil: Activating your void super grants you and nearby allies an overshield and invisibility.
Sin: Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate.
Silence: While you have a Void super equipped, rapid final blows and final blows while critically wounded grant Devour.
(Hunt allows on the prowl to mark 3 total pve combatants or 2 guardians. Veil makes any void super cast grant full overshield and invisibility to you and allies within 15m. Sin is the nezy sin just on hunter, void kills grant 2.5 sec of buff, up to 20 secs. Slightly reduced ability regen thou, 200% grenade and melee, 125% class ability and super. Silence is the secondary effect of quiet one, with an easy access to devour.)
Been a while since I did a custom weapon, and now I have developed the first strand heavy weapon. A rocket powered machine gun that can help with ad clear or focus on bigger target for higher damage.
Exotic Strand Machine Gun - Countermeasure
Exotic Intrinsic Perk - Emergency Contingent [600rpm]: Fires micro rockets which embed into surfaces and targets, then detonate to stagger them. Strong against unstoppable champions.
Barrel: Hard Launch.
Magazine: High Velocity Rounds.
Exotic Trait - Homing Beacon: Embedding several rockets into a target marks them. Damaging marked targets with this weapon increases its stability and reload speed, and micro rockets track to marked targets, dealing increased damage. Marked targets release a suspending burst on death.
Stock: Fitted Stock.
A machine gun with a extreme version of timed payload. Rockets gain damage buff from hazardous propulsion. Marking a target has the same effects as Mataiodoxia, meaning marking with Mataiodoxia arcane needle will cause you and allies rockets to track while in line of sight and will release a suspending burst on death, neat!
Lore: Sid mused over the blueprints, mentally calculating the cost of raw materials and production. Making a gun is the easy part, the nano machines make quick work of that. He remembers overhearing some guardians talking, exchanging stories about cursed guns, some even being quote, “alive.” He refused to believe it, the gun isn’t the important part, it's a delivery mechanism for the real show, whatever magic munitions they ship into the skull of whatever they aim at. And Sid knew that the package they wanted to ship here was gonna cost 10x more than whatever casing they could make to withstand firing it. “Don’t think I know what you want to use this on.”
“I’m just asking if it's possible,” Tse Jingye responded. “Nimbus said that this witness that’s been causing all this ruckus is dead, we have to prepare for future threats.”
“What threats exactly? I checked the date for this design, it's from before even those pyramids showed up. Don’t think I know what you REALLY want this used against?”
“Nimbus mentioned what killed the witness right, there's a reason we never interacted with these Warlords before.”
“They’re Guardians, remember. And they’ve been helping us since the moment they crashed down here. How’d you think they would react if they learned you want to develop a weapon to kill them.”
Tse paused for a moment, “We give it to them, let them play around with it.” She then pulled up a live feed display for the both of them. “They call it the Crucible, we used to hack their feed but they’ve been broadcasting to us now. Look at them, they’re already killing each other over and over and over again. We give them a new weapon, they’ll be the first to try to blow themselves up with it. Make it, and we’ll see if it can actually kill Guardians. I can talk to the guy who runs it. I've heard how eager he is to give Guardian new toys, he might be able to throw some funding our way.”
“This is the farthest thing from a toy,” Sid contemplated for a moment, “Fine. As long as they can manage the upkeep on the mutations. I still can’t figure out how you managed to synthesize that energy for it.”
“It’s the same that comes off the veil, another guardian helped with it." Tse gave a light chuckle, "No one wants a guardian dead more than another guardian it seems.”
With the newest expansion revealed an yet another old Destiny 1 gun coming back, I deiced to polish up and post the Exotic Port Project. Bringing every missing Destiny 1 exotic to Destiny 2, with revamped perks, synergies and abilities.
Welp, finally posted something on this blog again. Destiny burnout is finally fading, and the new expansion around the corner, felt like making something for the game again. Will I be more active, maybe.
Damn, seeing crow wield the iron lord axe makes me yearn for one ourselves. So let Valus Forge forge new axes for new iron lords. Takes inspiration from the hammer from monster hunter, allowing players to move (and block) while charging to bonk, I mean slam enemies.
This is also the first project to be completed in a new editing program. Since Photoshop shit the bed I've been looking into alternatives. This one was nearly completed before I switched, so future projects will probably look a bit different as I figure out a new program.
