hi there, I also had a partner who I was with 3+ years and wanted to marry. they were my support system and someone I deeply trusted. it's so fucking difficult when someone you had that connection with hurts you. taking your life is not worth it. it's extremely hard when it's someone you were with long-term and had plans with but you /will/ find other people to trust who won't take you for granted. it's okay to be in pain. no one has the right to disregard your feelings and very real concerns. I can't say that it's easy to move on, but one thing is for sure; you can't go on with someone who will blatantly be dishonest with you. sometimes it means being alone and healing is hard but it will be worth it, trust me.

love sucks. i dont even want to bring it up to her because im that weak and NEED her. i dont know how to let go. if i stay with her this will always be in my mind so i guess i need to leave. thank you for writing all of this out. im probably gonna read it several times over to cope :)

you guys i have borderline personality disorder and finding out that my girlfriend cheated and lied is for real about to make me attempt to take my life. im trying so hard to stay stable but i can't stop shaking. i wasted 3 years of my life with her. i trusted her. i wanted to marry her.

so after years of research i realized i have borderline personality disorder. i know i am self diagnosing but i know 100% that i have it. after years of struggling with symptoms i didnt recognize, thinking i only have depression and social anxiety. i hit every single trait. all 9 traits of bpd. this video im watching of a psychiatrist explaining it to someone who has no clue, is saying every single thing i experience on a regular basis. hopefully i have nothing else and hopefully i can get treated as soon as possible.

a question with people who have BPD: how did you get diagnosed? how do i receive help. im scared a professional will misdiagnose me. do i see a therapist... a psychiatrist???
