“So you’re bunking up with the bureaucrats now? Nice to know you threw principles that matter out the window when one little thing happens.” Ali huffed, crossing her arms angrily.

The 1975 - If I Believe You
Ally Cat :
repliicatiion:
The replicating hero crossed her arms, one eyebrow narrowing while the other raised. “What? Can’t a girl just look at the lights with another girl without being bothered, too?” She tilted her head mockingly, a pout on her lips as her gaze was on the other woman, brown eyes shifting up to down and the pout on her lips disappearing and forming into a thin line. “Wait, you’re not from the union, right? I would’ve recognized you from a mile away if you were.. not that I’m avoiding people from the union, that would be ridiculous.”
Ali looked the girl up and down for a moment as if mulling her over, “You’re from the Union...I’ve seen you in the news stuff. Why would you be hiding from your cute little Support Group for Big Egos and Super Powers?”

As Jason walked through the city trying to figure out what he wanted to eat, he seen a shadow. Always taking a moment to notice everything Jason soon figured who it was. Following her lead Jason trailed her for a moment. But froze in his tracks when she snapped at him. He raised his hands up. “I wanted to talk, I haven’t seen you around. I was a little worried.” He paused for a moment. It seemed she was in no mood. “But nevermind.”
Ali perked up immediately at Jason’s voice, “Jace!” She smiled before getting up and running over, wrapping her arms around him, “I didn’t know it was you, traffic must have covered the footsteps. I missed you, baby”
Ali ran along another rooftop, her footsteps careful as she slipped through the dark. Ali had been a street cat for a while now, become one with the City’s heartbeat and rhythm. With a quick leap she landed on the adjacent rooftop on all fours, crouched and poised, overlooking the city lights. People moved below her on their bikes, in their cars, walking down the street, completely unaware of her presence. The Beauty of a City was the complete anonymity it could provide. She felt the other person behind her before she turned, “What do you want? Can’t a girl just look at the lights without being bothered?” She grumbled as she stood and turned.
metal-heartedx:
“I want to tell her everyday, but then she looks at me with those eyes and I;m overcome, plus she always has this knack of cuddling up to me and making me forget the worlds for a while…” she stammered, feeling guilty in regards to the woman she’d fallen in love with. “I need to go back to space, G. This world is too small, I want Deryn out there but I worry for her safety…” she then looked down for a moment. “Leaving would protect her.”
“I’m not one to speak for her. I can’t read minds like Adria, or feel what she feels, but I’ve known her for a while now. And I think the last thing she would want, is to have someone decide what is best for her ‘safety’ again. Wouldn’t you agree?”
ghostwith-themostx:
“Well, I’d always thought it was the case…” The woman admitted “I mean, you get the badge for showing you care and are a hero” she said softly, then kneeling down, holding out her hand for her “Come on, I can help you…I don’t mean you any harm.”
Ali looked at the hand for a moment. before taking it gently, hoping she wasn’t going to regret this.

“With my last breath.” Jason wasn’t the type to do feeling. Feeling only got him hurt, betrayed and abandoned. Like many kids in the foster system, Jason never had a loving family. He was lucky if he had the same family for longer than a month. He jumped between family to family until he turned eighteen. Then he was no longer the city problem. But that changed when Allison came into his live. She was beautiful, strong and she tore down walls. He held her hand firmly. “Let’s go.” He said as she let the way. Fog still coated the city as they made their way to his apartment. Once inside the safety apartment Jason smiled at her. “Do you want a shower?”
Ali knew she didn’t have a home, had spent a long time coming to terms with it, accepting it, moving on, learning how to survive that. She refused to stay longer than a few nights in Jace’s apartment, she didn’t want to get too attached without a promise of permanence. But it was nice to have a soft bed and a warm shower with a nice pair of arms to cuddle in sometimes. She sighed happily as she walked inside the comforting, slightly messy familiar home, “Only if you’ll come with,” She smirked, “I’ve had a very stressful night and I don’t want to...be alone...”
ladyobsidianrp:
“Or maybe, your little idol isn’t as good as you thought.” She teased. Esmeralda seemed to be getting pleasure out of the whole situation. Which she was, she wanted to see nothing more than watch Liberty fall. “It was bond to happen.”
“I don’t got idols, lady,” Ali scoffed, “You’re one of them aren’t you? The Shadow Selective or whatever?”
Ali watched the Mayor’s speech drama unfold before her from a safe rooftop. She didn’t like the feeling beginning to swirl in her gut, raising the hair on the back of her neck. She knew this was wrong, whatever the Mayor had decided or heard wasn’t right. She frowned deeper, “Something reeks about this.”

Jason held her tightly. There was a thin life and death in what they did. The first time Jason almost lost his life he was shock. “You’re safe now, you’re safe.” His voice was low and soft. He was trying to calm her down. “No one’s going to hurt you.” Even if someone tried, they would have to get through Jason. “Let’s get outta here.” He pulled back and cupped her cheek. A caring smile stretched on his lips; his eyes were calm. “Let’s go.” He said before playing a firm kiss on her forehead.
Alli had been alone for most of her life. Lost her family and home when she was really little, barely remembered them. The streets had been her playground and boxes her bed. Solitary and street smart. She earned the name Ally Cat from most of the other homeless network that ran like a perfect surveillance system. She was a sneak thief, acrobatic, quick, and more importantly, she was alone. Until she had met Jason. Not being alone wasn’t so bad when it was him. She took Jason’s hand in her own and nodded, ready to go, “As long as You’ll protect me.”
