earlier today i saw someone on twitter talking about how seventeen (soonyoung in particular since he’s the choreographer) incorporate korean sign language into most of their dances so that they have a way to communicate with deaf carats through dance and i wanted to talk about it. for example, the choreography for ‘Thanks’ literally starts off with all 13 members doing the sign for ‘promise’

and then as the song goes on, they do the ‘thank you’ sign multiple times

they also did it way back in ‘Pretty U’ era too!! tapping on your cheek means ‘pretty’ in KSL and jeonghan p clearly does the exact same gesture in one of his parts during the song (sorry for the bad quality oof)

and there’s more!!! there’s actually sign language in ‘Clap’ too!! when they shake their hands before the “jjak jjak jjak”, thats actually sign for clapping. you can see it here in the mv @ around 1:23 before they clap and here’s the person who pointed it out

Onew asked the other host if he wanted him to sing any song so he told him to a sing an old song (trot song) but since Jinki was too young he didn’t know about it and ended up looking for it and memorize the lyrics. The next day he told them he wanted to sing a song and i think the face of the co-host says it all ~♡
