Today’s snail of the day is:

the sap sucking sea snail

ok but this particular sap sucking sea snail (Saccoglossan) is really cool because it is in the family Juliidae which are the only gastropods whose shells are bivalves!! their shells are made of two separate valves hinged by a ligament, just like a clam! however, they are not closely related to the class Bivalvia, which includes clams; they are a perfect example of convergent evolution!!!
