Sound Designer Composer

As an award winning sound designer and composer my goal is to create the highest quality sounds and music for video games, Film, Art and New Media. Sound and music should not just be amazing, these elements must also reinforce the story, drama and action of the game. I love it when a sound or a piece of music can add subtext to an experience, telling the player more than just what they see onscreen. My love of sound and music combined with my experience from launching over thirteen titles across such platforms as Xbox, Play Station 2, Play Station 3 and PC/Mac computers has made me very adept at working with teams to glean what is needed for a project, creating the right assets and implementing them in a way that creates an outstanding player experience.

“Haptic Clouds” was written entirely on the Elektron Digitone as an experiment exploring the instrument's capabilities. Without MIDI interfaces or external sequencing, I focused on the Digitone's potential, and embraced its limitations. The Digitone is a beautiful instrument, full of flexibility, and power. The instrument has its own unique workflow, and very specific limitations. Working within that framework, and those limitations unlocks a well of creativity.

I spent a good amount of time hand crafting hundreds of custom FM patches. Once I had a good collection of diverse sounds, I moved into production, meticulously composing the 8 tracks that make up the album.

The album is designed for headphones. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
