I AM ALIVE DW JUST BUSY, BUT REALLY QUICKLY I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS
THE ENGLISH CAST FOR TWISTED WONDERLAND WAS RELEASED AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HYPED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE OML
I already had a feeling Alejandro Saab would be in it, as he was someone I saw very vocal for his love for the game for years now, so to see it happen for certain genuinely made me so happy.
BUT THE OTHER VA'S?? THE REPRESENTATION, THE GENUINE LOVE I AM SEEING THEM SHOW FOR THE GAME??
I'm in heaven, I am looking forward to this anime so damn much!!!
[Muse: The Mayor] [Hopeful Royalty] Getting used to life in the celestial realm was harder then he thought it would be. the other celestial guards certainly didn't make it easy for him at times considering he was a mortal. But Zhen wouldn't let that deter him, he had faced worse in the past after all.
Pushing strands of wet hair out of his face the war chief was only wearing a towel around his waist as he had stepped out of the shower to get himself dressed and ready for the day ahead.
It had been around a month since Zhen had been assigned to the celestial princess. While that wasn't a lot of time to the celestials, it was enough for the rainbow maiden to grow a small interest in the mortal. He remained polite, worked hard, and treated her kindly, all of which were attributes she wasn't entirely used to.
Wanting to thank him properly for working so hard, Xing had snuck away from her handmaids to pick some flowers from one of the many gardens. It didn't take long for her to create a colorful bouquet, a smile on her face as she made her way towards the mortal's room. She knocked very quickly, opening the door without a response.
"Excuse me, Zhen? I have a gift I'd like to give you for your hard work. I brought you some flowers and hoped they might—"
She froze upon seeing the other in only a towel around his waist, still wet from a shower. The princess's face very slowly turned a bright shade of crimson red, to which she dropped the flowers and quickly shut the door.
"I-I'll come back later...!!" The celestial just barely managed to squeak, before quickly rushing off with flushed cheeks. It's a good thing she had been without her handmaids, who knew the uproar that would have happened....
Finding this castle was a good spot for him, it was far enough from the city to avoid people but also close enough to where he could go back to get whatever he needed. Unfortunately he had not realized that someone else had decided to make this place their own until he came face to face with a woman, immediately getting into a defensive position.
Xing had finally moved into the once abandoned fortress! It took a while to bring all the boxes over, especially by herself, but she had done it. All that was really needed now was to start cleaning up the place.
The celestial princess was ready to get straight to work, until she became face to face with a semi-familiar money, or at least, until she saw the defensive position he made.
"Whoa! Easy! I'm not going to hurt you...! Uh... Well, I wasn't expecting a guest as soon as I moved in..."
She made sure to take a few steps away from him, hopefully to put him at ease.
[Muse: The Mayor] [Imperfect beauty] Zhen paused in his movent to leave the forget me nots by Xing's door when it opened, standing there for a few seconds of awkward silence. "I'm not here to cause trouble. Just dropping off the daily flowers I bring before leaving Xing.."
"Zhen-" Xing was taken aback to see the other at her door, a large box currently being held in her hands, albeit with a little struggle. Her gaze lowered towards the flowers he was leaving, a frown forming on her face.
"...why are you still leaving those here? You can't keep doing that, especially since I'm-"
The woman paused for a moment, before releasing a heavy sigh. It had been so long... Maybe...
"...if you're going to keep bringing me those, you need to stop bringing them here. I'm moving. In fact, I'm trying to move the last few boxes as we speak."
...maybe it's time to finally let things go... She's moving to have a new start. So she should let Zhen have a new start too.
I'm not really sure who will even see this, let alone if anyone is still active. If so, it's good to see you guys again.
I'm just going to be straightforward and honest; I'm in a shitty mental state. The past few months have grown worse and worse.
In just the past two months, the following has happened:
I lost access to this account for a little while due to my browser resetting and not remembering the email or password
I lost a 10 year friendship over Cobblemon (I'll go into more detail in DMs if asked because it's long and a major doozy)
I lost over a hundred or so icons I was actively working on for a character (thankfully not Xing's icons)
Was rejected from three different jobs I applied to
Anxiety and depression became so bad that I needed to step away from online and kept to myself with bare minimum online contact (mainly due to what occurred when losing 10 year friendship)
While I am definitely doing a lot better than I was then, I am still dealing with issues regarding job hunting, trying to find ways to make money for the upcoming holidays, and more.
However, I really miss it here and miss interacting with everyone. I miss having a reason to laugh or seeing all the fun interactions we all had together. So I really want to try my best to be active here again, even if it's not as much when I first came here a year ago.
Damn, I missed my first year anniversary of being on Tumblr. Honestly, that really hurts, even if I know it was good for me to be away from everything for a while. I feel like I've missed so much.
With any luck if people are still around, maybe I can do a little mini event to celebrate Xing being in the mortal realm for a year. We'll have to wait and see.
Finally, I have a request of those who do see this post, relating to what happened with me losing that friendship.
If at any point I do or say anything that makes you uncomfortable or unhappy, or even if Xing acts in a way that upsets you, please let me know right away and tell me. I really want full communication on if I ever have done anything that you didn't like or made you upset in any way, so I can ensure it never happens again.
This is just an anxiety I now have. I just want to make absolute sure I do not step on anyone's toes or make anyone feel a certain way.
If you made it this far, thank you, genuinely. I don't know how to take you guys enough for sticking around.
I'm going to try and do better from now on! Starting with trying to find all my drafts of replies I need to do and getting to work on those.
Hi! So, as the trigger warning suggests, I had surgery! I actually came home from the hospital on the 17th and have been recovering from a sudden gallbladder surgery.
Long story short, I was feeling a lot of pain in my stomach and back every now and again for the past few months. It suddenly really really hurt on the 15th to the point the pain lasted 5 hours until I made it to the ER. Turns out my gallbladder was infected and had stones in it, so it needed to be removed.
This was my first time ever being in a hospital and ever having surgery in any capacity, so to say I was shaken up is an understatement.
As such, I have been taking it easy for the past few days and have been focusing solely on my health. I have been getting a lot better, but it's been scary to say the least.
Hopefully I will make a full recovery soon and be back when it's over! Thank you for the patience, truly!
Hello everyone! I'm not entirely sure who will be reading this, but I wanted to quickly post something now that I am in much higher spirits.
I am doing far better than I was a little over a month ago. I took my time to grieve and focus on my mental health. While I'm definitely not in the same shape I was when I first started this blog, I'm at least not constantly having negative feelings or thoughts about myself.
I'm actually here to say that I will be returning soon to the blog and slowly starting back activity.
I turn 25 on the 30th, so I'm spending tomorrow and Monday with family and friends to celebrate. Once that is done, I want to come back and return to roleplaying with everyone at a nice pace that won't overwhelm me right off the bat.
I truly hope everyone has been well and I've missed you all so very much these past few weeks. I look forward to talking with everyone again soon!
I know I haven't been around for a few weeks, and I admittedly don't know how active I will be from this point on.
Long story short; I'm tired. I'm so tired. I have no energy, things keep happening in my life, and I kept waiting for things to feel better and my energy to come back.
I tried to focus on hyperfixations and handle my issues on my own. I thought it would make it better.
I have just now been informed that my grandmother on my father's side has passed. I was told not even ten whole minutes ago about this news.
I have not faced a family death like in ten years, where I lost his biological mother from a pneumonia induced coma. I watched her die at 15.
Now, nearing 25, I have lost another grandparent, and I feel like everything is collapsing around me.
I don't even know what to do. My father is a mess, I know my grandfather is one too, and he will move in with us at some point in the coming months; which will change my life even further.
Too much is changing and happening, and mentally I can't handle it. I can't stand the change that keeps occurring this year. Too many friends leaving. Too many fights and arguments going on in my life.
Even now, I'm not telling my closer friends much, because they all have too much on their own plates or we are dealing with strain.
I don't even know who will read this right now. I'm writing this for myself above all else to scream into a void and get it out of my head.
I don't know what will happen with my activity on this blog. If I ever do start to pick things up, I will be avoiding the topics of death and dropping a few angst focused threads. I will be focusing solely on ones that are more lowkey and less intense.
I don't even know how often ill even be around. maybe once a day, a week, maybe a few times a month? idk
i just have no more energy even now. i just want to curl up and cry and scream at this world.
im sorry. im so sorry to everyone.
for those that have read this far, thank you. im mainly writing this for myself than anything else.
i appreciate that so many of you have stayed this long. idk how to really end this so i guess thats about it rn
Gonna be a little slow today and picky with some replies that aren't going to take as long to write down. I don't have much energy today, plus it's my pupper's birthday and I know my family has plans for it.
Our two German Shepherds turn 4 years old today! >w< I'm so proud of how big my baby is!
[Muse: Sun Wukong] [The King's bride] Wukong wasn't sure what to say right now, knowing Xing was feeling a lot right now. So what he did do was wrap his arms around her and pull her in for a hug, holding her close. "I can also pack a bag so that I can stay with you in the celestial realm throughout this. I would never imagine making you go through this alone."
"No. I...I need to go alone, Wukong..." Xing responded, holding onto him tightly. She didn't have the energy to keep her glamor up, just leaning against him.
"Should the other celestials see you, they will cause an uproar. It would be seen as disrespectful towards my father, and most likely cause trouble for you. I...I can't let that happen... I can't watch them hurt you too... Not right now..."
"Well, uhhhh," Mk pointed at the bag of noodles, dangling it. He was in front of a kind of super-spooky lady, but wasn't taken too much aback. Was he a daredevil? Stupid? No. He was just really good at his job. "It's actually already paid for, sooo...." He made a hissing sound through his teeth because this? Was awkward.
"Then give it to someone who is less fortunate and is unable to purchase food. Would that not be the better thing to do in this situation? You have delivered to the wrong place; meaning you either find the right one or give it to someone who is less fortunate. It is not a difficult solution to conclude to."
The unnamed woman raised an eyebrow, confused by how he was able to stand there so easily without fear. While it made her grateful that someone was not running away, it also confused her.
"That said, again, please do leave. It is not safe for mortals in this area."
For all his planning, Nezha had not expected that. When Xing's glamor dropped and she looked tearfully away, Nezha bowed his head and moved out of her way. It was the least he could do.
As she got ready, his eyes opened a crack and he looked regretfully at the carpeted floor.
None of her sisters had visited to tell her? Her father had been dead for... months now.
What would she say if she knew Nezha was holding her father's power in his petals at this very moment?
There was a long silence in the air as Xing continue her packing now, albeit with less speed than she had before. All of her energy had completely drained after hearing this devastating news. Then again, how could she have known? She had secluded herself away from the celestial realm for months.
Her body was filled with so much pain. It felt like it was tearing her apart from the inside out. Part of her wanted to scream, to cry, to make all of it go away.
But what good would that do at this exact moment? It wouldn't bring him back. It would just cause more trouble and pain for everyone around her, just as it always did.
"...how long?" She finally asked, slowly packing her things.
Noodle delivery...? The goddess turned her head once again, finally taking notice of the delivery boy.
Oh, it was just a simple mortal. Nothing too dangerous she needed to be concerned about. The woman released a light sigh of relief, turning fully towards her uninvited guest.
"I am afraid you have the wrong place, young one. This place is not safe for your kind. It is best for your safety that you leave."
Her voice was a lot more gentle now, her good eye focused on the young man carefully.
Rumors had begun to spread in villages a distance from Megapolis. A goddess from the celestial realm had run from home and cursed the heavens she was born from.
"Deep down...
Deep down..."
This apparent goddess had been sighted by multiple mortals and demons, all describing a woman with long white hair, part of her body covered in a sort of black substance. Many had witnessed this woman kill thieves and rogues that would cause trouble for others, heal the wounds of the less fortunate, and then disappear in a mist.
"Deep down, you hide a reason for shame.
(There's always secrets that cannot be kept)
Deep down, you know that we are the same.
(Selfishly sealing your fate as you slept)"
They say if you follow the mist and listen closely, you would hear her singing in the wind. To whom, no one knows. Only that it came from a castle that once was a demon stronghold centuries ago. Now, it was covered in the same black substance that the rumors spoke of, infecting everything it touched and draining the life of the plants all around, yet never expanding towards where innocents lived.
"Leaving them feeling betrayed
Breaking the bonds that you've made
(I'm so sorry)
There is no price we won't pay
(Forgive me)
We both know what it takes to survive..."
It was in this castle that the former celestial princess lived, wandering the empty halls with no one but wandering and lost spirits to keep her company. They echoed her song; her only way to fill the deafening silence that was slowly driving her mad.
She had nothing here, yet remained all the same, absorbing the pain of all the innocents she came across who needed aid. It was all she could do with her abilities. Take the pain from others...and force it onto those who truly deserved it.
"Deep down, we only care for ourselves
(You're just as selfish, everyone can tell)
Deep down, we're lonely demons from hell-"
The woman paused in her tracks, her singing coming to a halt. Slowly, she moved her head towards the shadows covering the entrance of the castle, her eyes fixated on the door. A wicked smile formed upon her lips.
". . . Hello."
Her smile faded once she believed she had at least semi frightened the intruder, her head turning away as she kept her back turned towards the stranger in hiding.
"I know you are there. Leave this place. I have no wish to fight, nor am I interested in whatever reason you have for coming here. Leave, and never return."
The scorpion queen shakes her head as she grips her dress tightly. "No..honestly your too kind and amazing to be selfish. That should be way below you even for taking advice from a woman like me.." The demoness looked at xing with sad look as tears seem to be springing the corner of her eyes.
"Honestly, I wish I could be like you! I wish i could be so kind and not so selfish when having these stupid flings just to fill my heart!" She held her dress tighter. "You deserve better advice from someone who's not some anti-social, lovesick, depressed demon."
The princess was extremely quick to take notice of Queenie's change of behavior. This wasn't the same woman she was used to seeing; bubbly, full of life, confident... Was this how the demoness truly felt deep down? Was this the real Queenie...?
"...Queenie..." She was silent for a moment, gently taking the other's hands into her own, squeezing them softly in her grasp.
"...trust me, you don't want to be like me... Because for me, I give and I give, time and time again, never expecting anything to be returned, and just become spat back out in a worse shape than I was before... I gain nothing, but somehow still end up hurting more than I already was..."
Xing frowned as she looked down at their hands, her thumb rubbing against her friend's palm. She slowly smiled, raising her head to look into the other's eyes.
"I don't want advice from anyone else, Queenie... I want advice from you because I love you and care about you... You're my best friend; not anyone else. I trust you more than I do myself at times. More than my own sisters... I wouldn't come to you unless I truly believed in you, and the wonderful person you are beyond the pain you've been through..."
