The common denominator which contributes to the "inherent wrong" in the world is us. "The mark of an educated man is the suppression of weaker qualities in favor of better ones" - this is no longer an aspiration as it was centuries ago, and rather almost all desires run wild without any form of personal evaluation. Without people who strive to be morally good, there should be little question as to why people are less happy or satisfied with the world they live in.
