Connor walked through the dark streets, searching for a place to spend the night. While walking, he came across a damaged android. He knelt down next to it. ”Are you ok? What happened?”

They should have gotten repaired a long time ago. They knew that, but some-.. flaw in their programming stopped them. And now here they were, unable to move because their limbs were glitching – worn down from the amount of extra power that was going into running their damaged components. 

“I-.. I am alright!” They tried, chipper as they could, “This is just a-.. complication.”

Connor did a quick scan of the android and found they were lying. The android was critically damaged and needed repairs. “You need to go to a repair center. Come on, I’ll help you there.” He helped the damaged android onto their feet. “My name’s Connor, can you tell me yours?”

Another Connor. Well this was going to go well... “No!” she said a little too quickly, LED flickering red for just a second as she stumbled back from him, just barely able to stay upright. “There’s n-no need. I’ll be okay. I do not currently have a name assigned -- I am AX904.″

How does your character usually dress in daily life?

Post-deviation I imagine they’ll start wearing looser clothing, experimenting with dresses and loose fabrics and baggy jeans, that kind of thing.

From someone who’s survived MySpace, livejournal, deviantart, and fanfiction.nets’ content purges and bad policy updates, here’s some advice on how to get through tumblr’s recent bullshit:

- don’t knee jerk delete. I know it’s tempting to peace out immediately but hang on and do the other steps first. Out right ghosting and erasing everything is how fandoms die.

- archive everything on your blog you want to keep

- tell your followers how they can archive and keep your work too. A lot of fic and art were only saved from ff.net and lj because other people saved it first. If you’re cool with other people saving your work for them to personally keep, let them know this. You can absolutely discourage reposting but I really do highly recommend you allow people to personally save fic and art they like and are worried will disappear forever. Digital Dark Ages are a real thing.

- tell people where you’re jumping ship to. Give links. Keep that info up, even if you’ve left the site.

- go through who you follow and find out where else you can follow them. Save their work if they’ll allow it. It’s tedious as hell but if you want to keep up with people on here clicking on their page to check in is the best way to do it.

- support places like ao3. This is exactly why ao3 asks for donations a few times a year. They are a 100% anti-purging, judgement free, ad free non profit run by an elected board and protected by lawyers. Places like ao3 literally save fandom so please continue to support them and other similar archives. This is exactly why ao3 is so important.

Also, go read the source policies and official Tumblr statements in addition to user analyses and reactions. It’s important to keep abreast of developments over time; staying informed is your power in this situation. Memes and reaction posts are funny and are a useful way to vent / provide commentary, but some of them create an inaccurate picture of what’s happening and should not be taken as evidence on their own of what developments have happened.

Posts being flagged as sensitive content and how to fix it

A ton of posts are now being flagged as sensitive content thanks to Tumblr’s new idea to make it adult content free. However, you can request a review so they can fix it. I know it’s tiring, and I know it’s not our fault that Tumblr can’t do a simple thing right, but I refuse to have any of my SFW creations being taken down just because Tumblr doesn’t know how to write an algorithm.

So here’s what you can do, even if you aren’t the OP.

Any post that has been flagged will show something like the image below at the top of the post, even if it’s a reblog.

If you’re the OP, a REVIEW link will show up at the right margin of the red bar where it says “Your post was flagged”. Click on it, and then click REQUEST REVIEW, like the image below.

After you’ll get a message in an orange bar saying “Your post is in content appeal”, meaning they’re evaluating whether their algorithm screwed up or not. If it was wrongfully marked as sensitive (and it most likely was), you’ll get an email being alerted to that your post is now visible to everyone again.

Alternatively, if you aren’t the OP, but your reblogs are flagged as well, (which in this case, you’ll see something like the image below in your flagged reblog), you can message the OP about it so they can request a review.

Please, don’t ignore this! It’s bad enough that adult content is being deleted because Tumblr can’t deal with p*rn bots, but having content that has absolutely nothing to with adult content being deleted as well can be fixed, even if we’re the ones who have to ask for said fix.
