my httyd book redesigns (books 9-12) + comparison to the old ones
- the biggest problem i had with my older versions was that they were too perfect.. like i didn’t really give them distinct features or make their designs accurate to what a 14 year old viking looked like which i tried to correct here
- more baby fat on his face
- made his hair shorter and added little braids
- pants, not a full body suit + accessories like the vest and belts
- kept him lean to show that he has muscles for sword fighting but he’s also kind of starving
- light ginger hair, light blue eyes
- her clothing and hiccups were basically identical in my old designs
- i made her hair more wild because while i like the straight long hair, it didn’t match the books description
- big eyes, baby fat, dimples, face scars, twigs in her hair
- ruffles beneath her belt (because she’s fun so why not), bandages
- a cape showing she’s adventurous and prideful
- different shades of black for stealth, easy to move around in and alter if needed, and displays more of her personality
- light blond hair, black eyes
- my biggest problem with my first design is that he looked like a hoyoverse character (i was too scared to give him prominent features or muscles), which i aimed to correct here
- cape and helmet for the same reasons as camicazi, but also to show off his status
- i’m realizing i forgot the scars on his arms just now so pretend they’re there, ill fix it if i make a good copy
- basically in this redesign i wanted to portray him as this overly prideful maybe a little evil classic viking warrior
- fur cape belts tunic helmet long hair you name it
- facial hair and no baby fat since he’s older & tougher
- darkkkk red hair, blue eyes to the point where they’re almost white
