Been thinking about Wiosna lately, so I snapped a quick shot of her

hi! is there any lore reasoning behind Vesna's chrome hand?

Hi! Sorry for the late response, but yes! Wiosna is from an Euroaristocratic family, where her grandmother used to be a pioneer in refusing chrome/bioengineering enhancements for her ballet career. Honorata (the grandmother) strongly believed that the art of ballet is about the human body, not cybernetics, or anything that would make the art artificial. While she started her career back in early 2020, having cybernetics was a common practice, but despite this, she took pride in being a ballet dancer with a fully organic body. It's what made her stand out, and people started to visit her shows just to see the human body in action, in its true, and arguably still flawed form. But with the love for dance, she managed to outperform others and gained herself the title of Prima Ballerina Assoluta (and the last one since 2020s)

Now, Wiosna's dream was to follow her grandmother's steps, so no cyberware or bioengineering was her top priority. She, of course, stood out with her peers, having the coolest, or custom-made cybernetics, while she didn't even have a personal port or any of that sort of thing. Even when she picked up netrunning out of boredom, it was all done with cyberdecks for external connection.

Wiosna's dreams were one thing, and the other was that her parents wanted her to be a scientist, not a dancer. They didn't push cybernetics on her, but they did not allow her to join her grandmother's ballet academy after graduating high school. This created a feud between Wiosna and her parents. She began seeking attention and validation somewhere else, and since she was away from her grandma, who lived in Warsaw while she was in Japan, she happened to meet Arthur Jenkins at one of Arasaka's parties. Now it marked the start of a toxic and abusive relationship where Jenkins would shape Wiosna to be his perfect trophy. From changing her black hair to platinum blonde, to make her look like a bimbo. At the time, Wiosna wasn't doing well mentally, especially when her parents were murdered while she was still "mad at them", and she ran away from home to Night City. Jenkins used her vulnerability to keep her in his golden cage, but he knew that with her parents gone, Wiosna could continue to chase her dream of being a ballerina and leave him for it. So he staged an AV accident where Wiosna "lost" her hand.

With her body not being organic anymore, she couldn't pursue her dreams, and even more so, she was now afraid to show herself in that state to her grandmother. It was actually her breaking point; her old, innocent persona was lost. Since she was already modified, Wiosna decided to take netrunning more seriously. While the hand is the only visible cyberware, she has internal Tier 4 Netrunning Cyberware and a hidden cortex port. And with that, she became a menace in cyberspace. With nothing to make her want to live in the real world, she slowly lost her humanity in the net.

Wiosna's Cyberware changes are such a crucial point of her, because with every change, she loses herself. And it's not really about cyberpsychosis, but the fact that she used to be someone else entirely.

A Mischief of Rats: A Beginner Friendly Modding Server

And a ratstick mods server

It's live!!! I made a new discord server for modding and that will also be where I talk about/post my mods (don't worry I'll still post them everywhere else too!). I made it for two reasons:

1. I abhor pretension and impatience. We were all beginners once, we were all looking for someone kind to help us out. I've straight up asked questions in the main modding discord for other people before because they were either intimidated or have had bad experiences. Modding is a fun hobby and the barrier to entry for this game should not include social connections.

2. I'm going to be working on some monochrome repacks and a. don't want to bother everyone else because it's going to be a lot and b. want to give more lovely people that aren't in the other servers I'm in a chance to take new pics for my mods!!!

I am selective about who gets invited due to my uh let's call it notoriety. So DM me if you'd like an invite!

Rules of the server below the cut if you're curious!

I'm the ultimate arbitrator.

1. No lionizing/glazing/excessive compliments of me or other modders if you legitimately would not talk like that to any old friend. We are just human beings. We are fallible. I, specifically, kind of suck sometimes actually! This isn't because I don't appreciate the sentiment but because I find it can breed cliques and secret social rules. Just be normal about how much you like something someone does lol.

2. There are no cliques. There are no secret social rules.

3. Be nice OR ELSE. No bigotry of any kind. We work to unlearn our cultural biases and stereotypes here, not perpetuate them. I **will** be a bitch about it.

4. Server is invite only and I get the final say on who gets in (which is funny considering the number of people I'm in a mutual hateship with but that's why I get the final say innit)

4a. You might lose friends if they see you tagging me or taking pics for my mods because people are fuckin weird but that's also why I'm selective.

5. Knowing how to read is not a requirement for modding actually! If I catch you being pretentious or condescending when someone asks for help (and it's not regular resting bitch keyboard like me) YA DONE. This is a BEGINNER MOD FRIENDLY SPACE.

5a. To that same end, don't be self-deprecating, apologizing for asking questions or if you're having trouble understanding something. The first one especially gets old quick. Get yourself some self-esteem babe, you're worth it.

6. The cyberpunk modding scene is fucking chock full of drama. This is not the place to litigate it but I am a nosy bitch and love gossip so please DM me if you have some tea 👀

7. Respect the rules set in exclusives. If you violate those YA GONE.

8. Respect when a mod is private.

9. INFORMATION DESERVES TO BE FREE: I am happy to help you get your own gitbook account set up and walk through how to add your guide to the wiki. I encourage sharing any tutorials you make for this server.

10. I AM THE FINAL ARBITRATOR ON WHEN RULES ARE BROKEN AND WHO IS ALLOWED IN. THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY. I'm usually a fair ruler and mostly an absent parent anyway.

Forgot to post but this time I made Hanako inspired nails 💅🏻 I used Hanako's dominant colors - white, red, and gold. Red French tip was inspired by her coat, just like the Arasaka golden pin, snake skin is a texture from her dress, and gold French tips after her cybernetics! ✨

Finally found Kurt's podcast room that I've been looking for it for ages😭 Someone posted they accidentally found it, and I started looking for it again, and turns out it's quest locked to enterence at stadium in Dog Eat Dog and despawns after the quest, so all this time I was looking for it and it just wasnt there 😭😭😭
