Pokemon Squadron Pokestrikers
The second Lucario-related drawing this week and originally I was only gonna have Lucria and Jake from my old fanfic Poké Rangers: Poképower in their civilian forms but then decided on having their whole team in their ranger forms since I remember that the idea I had for the suits were bland at the time, in the same way how that old fanfic was bad. These would be the Poképower team is I decided to do a reimagening of that fanfic with cooler suits and a name change. From left to right. Binnie Flora: In the original she was the Pink Venomoth Ranger, this fashion loving girl despite being vain proved herself to be the heart of the team at times and was the childhood friend of Jake. I decided to make her Ranger form be based on Vivillon since that one is considered to be more pink than Venomoth, and it being more typically cute in design also fits better, though I think she would still use Pokémon like Venomoth and Beedrill. Joshua Yushaa: A hot-blooded guy who's a good friend of Jake and the others. He's the Black Mightyena Ranger and that will remain. It's just that in the original I had him killed and the aftershock being dumb. I had his role be replaced by two others, including his younger sister Ricky until I revived him, first as a brainwashed villain to then become good again and reclaim his title either because I thought it would be a neat twist or because I realized how much of a mistake it was to kill him. As you might understand, I will not just kill him in a new version of the series. Lucria Dimon: The leader of the team, Lucria is a Lucario Pokémorph who was raised by the president of Poképower, the Pokémon help foundation/corporation (which would also change it's name). She's also the first member of the recently formed Pokéstrikers team and she was the one who recruited the others by persuasion from Jake to save their class from Team Chrono. She and Jake became a couple throughout the story, and as far as I know there's nothing I need to change with Lucria. But then again, even if there was a few jokes regarding how weird her name is I might simply change it to Lucia. Jake Coshi: Jake is the Red Luxray Ranger since I wanted to make a joke that there couldn't be two Blue Rangers (which would be the starting team as Timeranger/Time Force has shown that an extra Ranger can have similar colours to one of the primary members). Though as shown with Binnie he wasn't the only one to have gotten a colour not associated with a Pokémon he's using, therefor the joke did not turn out that funny. No, he couldn't be the Black Ranger either since someone else already is. Anyway, Jake was the one who might have gotten the most focus out of the team despite not being the leader of his team. He's a nice guy who really wants to help others in whatever way possible, and he's a good friend with Binnie, Joshua and Andrea, and in love with Lucria and that didn't change when he discovered that she's a Pokémorph. He also had an interesting history with the leader of Team Chrono. Andrea Geo: Andrea was the nerdy/geeky scientific guy who had gotten the least attention and focus. Originally he was the Yellow Bastiodon Ranger, maybe that one is more associated with gray but there's yellow, or perhaps I mistook it for a light shade of brown... now I have decided that it would be more fitting and would be less of a copy of some Blue Rangers if he's a Green Ranger, the Green Cyclizar Ranger. Two of these Pokémon did not exist at the time I wrote them, Black and White hadn't even come out yet. Not pictured is the Green Scyther Ranger, or as I found out when I reread the old fic, "Kelly Scyther Ranger". Apparently the idea was still in reference to green. *Throws the whiteboard to the side* WHO THE F WAS THAT GREEN KELLY!? Did those test readers who had better English than me even ask what Kelly meant? All this time I was thinking the was the freaking GREEN Scyther Ranger, not KELLY!!! Erhm... anyway, since I made Andrea green instead that means I would have to change what colour and Pokémon his Ranger form would be based on.
