I had that idea for an OC in the KPOP Demon hunters universe but not a korean one. Someone from Brittany to be more precise.
After all, demons are in (probably) every culture and are a problem so it's not absurd to think that other places can have their own trained people, except they aren't Kpop artists. And their own methods/magic as well.
And Brittany because there's so many legends here.
Meet Morrigan, 26, university law student dropout, barista by day and demon hunter/tamer by night. Lives on coffee, coupons and demon bounties. Her family always fought demons but at our era, their role is less important as not many people still believe in that and don't finance them for that activity. Plays rugby since she's a kid.

She can cast two shields, either like here, either using the same energy to create a big one, or a spherical one. Sometimes uses one to hit demons because she mostly works solo. Bonus: the shields float so it can be an emergency raft or a surf/body/snow board. She hit hard but lacks in speed and agility. Swims very well, can sail and surf.

I kind of have a more solid concept on how it'd work for her and her universe, it's just veeeery different from the girlies and their honmoon - which in a way is what I wanted, I don't think we can add an OC in a close team like that, especially as we don't know their relations with their mentor at the end, nor how the golden/iridescent honmoon truly works in a near future. It's said to be definitive but who truly knows? So exploring how another part of the world could deal with their own demons was a solution- . Mine is more down to earth and jaded, a good reminder of the relations between church and money.
Imagine hunters, all independants or working in teams, paid at the mission, and missions being available through an app, like Uber but you order a demon hunter's services instead of a car. Most of their commission goes in the church's pockets through taxes but hunting out of that is illegal so... If someone wants an OC in that AU feel free to join.

as previously said, she works as a barista in a café and deeply but deeply hates the starbucks type drinks with tons of crap add ons that they added for the tourists.

So I kind of wanted that to be parodic, so here's how the demon/cryptids ( they don't kill only demons) works: the church is the one ruling that system ( mostly) and made it a business ( how surprising for them) where all the hunters have to be registered and use an app ( yeah I based it on Uber) for them to track your activities. Private commissions exist but are considered illegal. Also they offer the possibility to "tame" / aka redeem some demons but that's complex. To be clear, it's underpaid, overly controlled and can be dangerous.
