2015 KATAVOTHRES Club and TRIBE Records are back at one of Greece's most beautiful destinations, Kefalonia. Kefalonia, also known as Cephallonia, is the largest of the Ionian Islands, located in the Ionian Sea to the west of the Greek mainland. The Greek island has many wonderful beaches with fine sand and turquoise waters, picturesque villages, rolling vineyards and natural wonders, with a smattering of castles and archaeological treasures if you fancy a break from party pleasures. Its highest mountain, Mount Ainos, is now a national park in which a rare species of fir forest grows, and offers terrific landscapes and more spectacular views.
Can You Dance To My Beat will be held at the Katavothres Club just outside Argostoli, which is the islands largest town and the capital of this beautiful spot... Many of dance music’s finest DJs and producers are regulars at this club throughout the summer. We have put together a line-up which we think you will love. There will, of course, be beach parties during the afternoon, so you can soak up the Mediterranean sun and the best dance music on the planet at the same time, while looking forward to a great series of night parties to show off your best frocks, your instant tan, your amazing sunglasses-at-night dance moves…

By Plane: There are daily Olympic Airlines flights directly from Athens (45 minutes), as well as Ionian Island Hopper service which also serves Zante and Lefkas as well as Kafalonia (operated by www.airsealines.com). EasyJet (from London Gatwick), Ryanair (from Stansted), Monarch Airlines (Brimingham, Manchester, Gatwick), and Aegean Airlines (Manchester) all fly to Kefalonia Island International Airport (EFL).

Handy tip: trying to keep the cost down of the flights direct to Kefalonia? Mix and match the carriers ie – check flying out with Ryanair and back with Easyjet or vice versa. (skyscanner.net can quote these itineraries for you)
By Ferry: Regular ferries operate from the ports of Patras and Killini. Starting from Athens, you can take a KTEL bus (or your car) in order to reach Patras or Killini. From these two ports you can catch a ferry boat in order to reach Kefalonia. The itineraries are daily and very frequent. The ferry is approximately 3 hours from Patras and 4 hours from Killini Theree are also daily ferry connections to Igoumenitsa, Astako, and Zante. So the simplest advice would be to stay somewhere in or around Argostoli, or in one of the hotels or holiday apartments in nearby Lassi, as that will mean you won’t have to travel too far. However, that’s entirely up to you. There’s a huge range of accommodation options on the island. TripAdvisor.com is a good way to get an overview of the hotels on the island

Getting Around the Island. There are car ferries from the mainland, and many car hire places in towns, though prices vary. Most of the hire places are in Lassi, the main resort, and the capital Argostoli. Taxis are fairly reasonable and individual arrangements can be made with drivers to pick you up at specified times from beaches etc. They are usually helpful and friendly. KTEL operate buses around the island. Car Hire There are several car rental companies located in Argostoli such as Europcar, Budget and Avis. As there is no bus service from the airport it is probably best to arrange collection & return from the airport. Avis, Alamo, Budget, Hertz, Sixt etc all operate from the airport. Three firms that get consistently good reviews on Tripadvisor are Greekstones, CBR Rental and Pefanis, so maybe take a look at those too. It is worth bearing in mind that most hire firms will claim that their quoted price includes full insurance cover, but there may well be exclusions to this. You may need to specifically ask in writing whether the undercarriage and tyres, gearbox and clutch are covered. Kafalonia
