Alivia: Reply to this text in the next ten minutes with your status or else I can promise you the most ugly, uncomfortable costumes and the worst shift hours that'll make you wish you were in hell.
absolutely nothing.
âOkay, Iâm here to pick up some creme coloured Louboutins and before you even think about giving me the wrong pair because it might be funny or a form of sabotage, please remember that Iâve worked here for quite awhile and I have picked up a few things.â JJ said with a tone of exasperation in his voice.Â
âYou have to admit that it was funny that time Tink chucked them at your head,â Alvia snorted from her sewing machine, moving to perch her glasses on top of her head as she moved towards the closet.

Opal sobered up at the tone, recognizing it from all these years as a tone not to question. The petite raven-haired fairy was nothing but fire but she knew her place when it came to the women who raised her. They were owed nothing more than respect and obedience.
âIâm sorry. I spoke out of turn.âÂ
âYou sure as hell did,â Avi confirmed, the the tone of her voice less firm as she reached into her purse to grab the keys to the Fairyâs back entrance, unlocking the door and hoisting it open.
âGo on then, you little cheek, get in there...â she told Opal, nodding towards her work room which held all of the costumes in progress.

Opal sighed with a pout, eyeing the woman she loved like a mother. So, she wasnât scared to pull out the puppy eyes. It was what she was known for. And as much as she loved to dance on that stage, she had her moments of being resisting. âDo we haaaave to? I just had brunch with a client. I wanted to go back to McQueen and my bed!â
âDo you know how easy you have it?â Avi questioned, the tone of her voice alone an answer to Opalâs question as she continued down the sidewalk. Yes, they had to.
âWhen I was your age, if I wasnât on my feet, I was on my back. I did absolutely no cuddling with puppies that silly gang boys got me -- especially not on business days. You donât know how lucky you are, sweet pea.â
A catcall whistle from the passing car was all she needed from the passing car to leap into action. Eyes narrowing, she gripped her caramel macchiato and whipped it at the back of the car, smiling in satisfaction as the liquid spilled all over the rear window. Over the curses from the driver, Opal noticed a few claps and cheers that she got for her response to the asshole.
âThank you. Iâll be here all week.â
âWell, what a damn waste of coffee,â Alivia said, âtskâing under her breath as she approached, lowering her sunglasses just slightly to witness the retreating car.
âYouâd better hope the machine backstage is running. Iâve got three new outfits for you, weâll be fitting all morning.â
streetwclkers:
âI did, actually. Thank you.â Effie blushed lightly at the compliment. She felt like stock soup compared to the woman before her, so it was oddly flattering to here. âIâm not much of a dancer, Iâve got to be honest. Iâm not one for partiesâ Iâm just here to keep an eye on someone.â
âOooo, what kind of eyes? Tell me everything!â Alivia gasped in excitement, reaching out to pull Effie closer to her. Of course, she didnât know this girl, but she was always a fan of making friends at parties, and this young lady looked like she could really use one.Â
âLoving eyes? Jealous eyes? Hungry eyes? Whatâs the story?â
âYou look great.â Effie complimented with a bright smile. Though completely out of her element, she enjoyed being around people and would make the most of it. Toying with her flower crown shaped as a halo, she fixated her oceanic gaze on the DJ. âIs it lame of me to think that itâs a bit too loud?"Â
âThank you, sweetheart, but you look absolutely darling yourself...Did you make that?â Avi asked, motioning to the flower crown that the young stranger had adorning her head. âItâs a lovely little touch.â
Alivia looked around over the party, as if to judge how she felt about the music level herself. âI wouldnât worry too far about it, love. It wonât be as loud when youâre dancing.â
â IT WAS REFLECTED on the lethargic swirl of her tongue around the lollipop, on how her eye drifted and how her foot unconsciously tapped along the rhythm of the background music. everything about her told how deeply uninterested she was in the seemingly endless subject her companion insisted on â but still, annabell tate was not one to disappoint. â oh i love that, really. â her eyes glistened in a way only she knew how ardusously she had practiced before the mirror; candy popping from her mouth, lips left puckered. she was bored, dying to be saved, and stil â â what was that again ? about the guy you meet in the vip area of that game ? â
Alivia knew the look -- Hell, at one point she had perfected it. The guy was all talk, no action. A dead end that was impossible to escape without looking rude. A man that liked to come in and look at pretty women, brag for a few drinks, and then leave without dropping any real cash on services. A waste of time and attention.Â
She made her way over to the blonde, the undisputed current star of The Green Fairy, and gently laid her hand on her shoulder, giving the man a charming smile.
âForgive me, I have to steal Miss Tate away for a moment, sheâs a popular girl...â
