⋆˚꩜。 origin story ⋆˚꩜。
Cody Odessa has spent her entire life proving that where you come from doesn't have to decide where you're going.
Born on April 25th, Cody proudly declares every year that it's "the perfect date," quoting Miss Congeniality with an unwavering grin. Most people roll their eyes. Cody laughs anyway. If life has taught her anything, it's that joy is worth choosing whenever it appears.
Her earliest memories are fragmented, more feelings than facts. She remembers her father smiling at her. She remembers feeling safe in his arms. She remembers thinking he loved her.
Then, at five years old, her mother left her alone in the middle of a Walmart and never came back.
Everything after that became a blur of social workers, garbage bags filled with belongings, unfamiliar bedrooms, and foster homes that rarely felt like homes at all. Some families treated her kindly for a while before sending her away. Others saw her as little more than a state paycheck. Too many left bruises that couldn't always be seen and one very generous scar along her throat. Cody learned very young that adults didn't always keep their promises.
Oddly enough, she refused to let that make her bitter.
Instead, she became the kind of person who smiled first.
Maybe because she knew exactly what it felt like to need someone else's kindness.
⋆˚꩜。 a teenager rebellion ⋆˚꩜。
She bounced through the foster care system before eventually landing in Cypress Cove as a teenager. It wasn't perfect, but for the first time in a long while, she stayed somewhere long enough to make friends - though not necssarily the right ones. Searching for belonging, Cody found herself pulled into the southside's gang alongside Cat, another girl who understood what it meant to grow up unwanted.
Their friendhsip eventually became something deeper.
Cody fell hard.
Cat was strong, fearless, and fiercely protective in ways Cody had never experienced before.
For a while, it felt like home.
But love built on survival isn't always healthy.
As the years passed, things just didn't seem to fit anymore. She felt like she was shrinking herself to be apart of this gang. She didn't agree with the things they did. So, she left.
Leaving Cat hurt.
Leaving the gang hurt even more.
For the first time in her life though, Cody chose herself instead of simply choosing whoever wanted to keep her.
⋆˚꩜。 finally time to do something for me ⋆˚꩜。
These days, Cody is twenty-five years old and attending college, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Behavioral Special Education. She wants to become the teacher she desperately needed as a child - the adult who notices the quiet kid, who understands trauma doesn't always look like bad behavior, and who makes every classroom feel safe enough for children to simply be children.
College isn't cheap.
Rent isn't either.
To make ends meet, Cody works as a mechanic, happily spending her days covered in grease and engine oil. She can rebuild parts most people can't even identify and lights up whenever someone asks about motorcycles. Her own bike is her greatest possession and her favorite escape. Long rides with the wind in her face are the closest thing she's ever found to peace.
When tuition deadlines or unexpected bills arrive, Cody quietly supplements her income by selling anonymous adult content online. It isn't something she advertises or particularly enjoys. It's simply one of several difficult choices she's made to keep chasing the education she's worked hard to earn.
In Cody's mind, it's temporary.
A means to an end until the day she finally has a real career of her own.
Despite everything she's survived, Cody somehow remains relentlessly optimistic.
She waves at every biker she passes.
She laughs too loudly.
She sings with the radio even when she doesn't know the words.
She'll stop to help someone stranded on the side of the road.
Most people assume she's naive.
The truth is far simpler.
Cody knows exactly how cruel this world can be.
She just refuses to let cruelty be the thing she gives back.

BIOGRAPHY:
Most of Cypress Cove knows him as Charles Beauchamp; the attorney, the community leader, the power broker, the mayor. The man whose name appears on plaques, campaign signs, charity galas, and town initiatives. The man who always seemed to have the right answer, the right connection, and the right amount of influence to get things done. For decades, Charles Beauchamp has been one of the most recognizable figures in Cypress Cove - a symbol of success, stability, and ambition.
What almost nobody knows is that Charles Beauchamp was never born. He was created. His real name was Crew Roirden.
Crew was born into a working-class family far removed from the wealth and prestige that would later define his life. He grew up understanding the value of every dollar, watching his parents work tirelessly just to keep food on the table. While other children dreamed about what they wanted to become, Crew dreamed about what he wanted to escape. He hated feeling powerless. He hated being overlooked. Most of all, he hated the way wealth seemed to determine who mattered and who didn't.
From an early age, he vowed he would never live that life. Football became his way out. Gifted, disciplined, and willing to outwork everyone around him, Crew earned a scholarship that carried him farther than anyone in his family had ever gone - University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. College became his proving ground. While many of his classmates treated their education as an opportunity, Crew treated it as survival. Every grade mattered. Every practice mattered. Every connection mattered. Failure was never an option because failure meant going back to that trailer park in Millen, Georgia.
It was there that he met Margaret Beauchamp. She came from everything that he didn't. Legacy, money, influence, and a family name that opened doors before she even wanted to walk through them. By all accounts, they should not have worked. Yet Margaret admired Crew's determination while Crew found himself captivated by her intelligence and ambition. They understood one another in ways few people did. Both wanted more. Both expected more. Both believed they were destined for greatness.
Their relationship quickly became serious. Margaret's parents loved him and accepted him as their son - Charles. Not Crew. They didn't know where he came from. He lied well, fit in well with the rich and snobbish even though he didn't have a penny to his name. After their marriage, Crew made a decision that surprised many and haunted him in ways he would never admit. He took Margaret's name. Crew Roirden became Charles Beauchamp. Mr. Beauchamp was more happy for this because he did not have a son to carry on his name. Charles could carry on the Beauchamp name.
For Crew, becoming Charles wasn't simply a name change. It was a transformation, a reinvention. The final step in burying the poor boy he never wanted to be again.
As Charles Beauchamp, he built an extraordinary life. He earned his law degree, established a successful legal career, expanded his influence throughout the community, and eventually entered politics. His charisma, intelligence, and relentless work ethic made him a natural leader. Election victories followed. Public admiration followed. Before long, Charles wasn't simply part of Cypress Cove. He was helping shape it.
Today, he serves as mayor, a position he has held long enough that many residents struggle to imagine the town without him. He has spent years championing local development, supporting businesses, and positioning Cypress Cove as a thriving coastal destination. Even his critics often acknowledge that the town flourished under his leadership. Success, however, came at a cost.
Charles and Margaret raised three children beneath the same expectations that had fueled their own rise. Bastian. Briar. Bellamy. Charles wanted greatness for them. More accurately, he demanded it. He believed pressure crafted resiliences. Excellence created opportunity. Discipline created success. Everything he had achieved came through sacrifice. What he failed to realize was that his children never knew the life he had escaped. They knew only the pressure.
Bastian became the perfect son on paper - gifted, accomplished, responsible - and still managed to disappoint him by choosing a life in education rather than politics or law. Bellamy rejected nearly everything the family stood for, becoming a content source of frustration and conflict. Briar often found herself trapped between them all, trying to preserve peace where little remained. Though Charles rarely acknowledges it, the distance between himself and his children remains the greatest failure of his life.
His marriage is equally complicated. To the public, Charles and Margaret remain an institution. The mayor and the councilwoman. The golden couple - the Beauchamps. Privately, years of ambition transformed their relationship into something closer to a partnership than a romance. They remain fiercely loyal to one another, but love and obligation have become difficult to separate. Public appearances continue. Expectations continue. The image remains intact. Behind closed door, both understand that appearances often tell only part of the story.
Now Charles finds himself standing at a crossroad he never anticipated. He achieved everything he dreamed of. Yet the victories feel different than they once did. One son keeps his distance. Another barely hides his resentment. His daughter carries burdens that were never hers to bear. The marriage he spent decades protecting often feels more symbolic than real. And somewhere beneath the tailored suits, political speeches, and carefully crafted image, Crew Roirden still exists - the frightened young man who promised himself he would never be poor, powerless, or overlooked again. Most days, Charles pretends Crew is gone; buried and forgotten, but the older he gets, the harder it becomes to ignore the truth.
No matter how successful Charles Beauchamp became, he never truly escaped being Crew Roirden and some secrets have a way of demanding to be remembered.

Peggy was born into wealth and opulence. The eldest child of Sebastian and Aurora Beauchamp she felt the pressure put on her immediately. Her father was a mayor of the town and early in her life became a senator for their state. Her mother's was a homemaker and her laser focus was on her eldest. She instilled in her a need to be more than a housewife. She wanted to see her daughter excel and Peggy ran with it. Taking as many classes as she could she graduated early and went to college
College is where she met Charles. He wasn't Charles then but even now she won't think his old name. Whoever that was has long since been dead and buried. Peggy fell for him. He was charming and intelligent and he was driven like she was. She looked past his family as they didn't matter to her. All that mattered was the man she loved.
The first time taking him home to her family was nerve wracking. She feared they'd see through this man and send him away and she would have to make a choice but that fear never came to pass. He slotted into her family well and she was happy.
As was expected they married and he took her name. She now was back to going by Margaret and was starting law school when she found herself pregnant. She took a year off of school before going back and finishing her degree. She wasn't just going to be some stay at home mother or socialite. She got into constitutional law and when a spot opened up on the council she left lawyering behind to be a full time council member to help make her home town better
In this time she'd had 2 more children. Briar and Bellamy and she loved both desperately but she was never the best mother. She pushed hard for them to succeed. When Bastian came and told her about an Elementary school teacher she didn't know how to react. All his potential and he was wasting it on children. He could have been a college professor.
Bellamy was always a wild card and nothing she could do could reign him in. She tries to talk to him more now but she can't keep the disappointment out of her voice whenever he talks about his work..
Briar she wants to be proud of but she feels like she's also wasting her potential. She'd help her daughter open her own bakery if that's what she wants but the girl just wants to work in one and Margaret can't understand why
As the years have weathered on Margaret has ended up feeling more and more dissatisfied in her marriage. What started off with two equals building a life has worked its way to appearances. A kind of relationship her parents had. That she never wanted. And more often than not she feels as if she's given up things in their life to help push Charles forward. She's the one that took time off for their children making her career trajectory off. While she doesn't regret the children she wishes it had been more equal and now smiles in pictures for appearance sake but at home she can feel a cold chasm between them.

⋆˚꩜。 origin story ⋆˚꩜。
Verity Lowen was born into a family fighting a battle they were desperate to win. She was born to be the bomb that would win the fight for them.
Years before her birth, her older sister, Cecily, was diagnosed with cancer. The disease consumed much of the family's life, dictating schedules, decisions, hopes, and fears. Doctors offered possibilities, treatments, and procedures, but they also delivered a difficult reality. Without a donor, Cecily was going to die. Verity was created in a lab to be a complete and total genetic match. She wasn't unwanted. She was deeply loved. But she was also born with a purpose that wasn't being someone's daughter.
From an early age, Verity understood that her existence was tied to her sister's survival.
Hospitals became as familiar as playgrounds. Medical terminology became part of everyday conversation. While other children worried about homework and summer vacations, Verity grew up worrying about the next surgery. She willingly underwent procedures and donations throughout her childhood, never questioning whether she should help. She loved her sister more than anyone in the world. To Verity, there was never a choice.
Her sister was everything she wanted to be.
Brilliant.
Kind.
Funny.
Strong.
Effortlessly loved.
But despite every effort to save her, the years of treatments took their toll.
The hardest truth came when Cecily finally confessed something she had hidden for a very long time: she was tired.
Tired of hospitals.
Tired of fighting.
Tired of existing as a patient and not a person.
She was ready to go.
Ready for peace.
While everyone around her continued searching for ways to keep her alive, Cecily quietly began searching for an end.
The loss that followed shattered the entire family.
It left behind a complicated grief that none of them could recover from.
Verity was devastated. She mourned not only the sister she lost, but the future she had spent her entire life trying to protect. For years she struggled with guilt. She had done everything she was supposed to do. But she was guilty of not doing enough. She was sure her parents saw it that way too. It sent her into a spiral.
⋆˚꩜。 run until it makes sense ⋆˚꩜。
In the aftermath, Verity left home. She found refuge in books. Stories became the one place where endings could be rewritten. She devoured literature with obsessive determination. Writing journals upon journals and recreating things into stories. It's true what they say... write what you know.
She eventually earned a degree in English Literature and Education, developing a deep appreciation for storytelling, language, and the ways people use fiction to make sense of reality. Teaching felt like a natural extension of that passion. She accepted a position at Ivermere Academy, where she quickly developed a reputation as one of the school's most demanding instructors.
Students know her as intimidating.
The woman with impossibly high standards.
Who notices when a student hasn't actually read the assigned novel.
One whose stare can silence an entire classroom.
One whose essays come back bleeding red ink.
What many students eventually discover is that beneath her stern exterior exists someone fiercely invested in their success. Verity refuses to lower standards because she believes young people are capable of more than they realize. She challenges them because she cares.
⋆˚꩜。 adelaide vale ⋆˚꩜。
What nobody knows is that teaching is only half of her life.
Under a carefully guarded pseudonym, (Adelaide Vale), Verity is a bestselling author whose novels have quietly built a devoted following. Her books, often dark literary mysteries and psychological dramas, explore themes of grief, identity, family, and survival. Critics praise her emotional depth and hunting prose. Readers speculate endlessly about the mysterious writer behind the pen name.
Meanwhile Verity spends her days grading papers, assigning Shakespeare, and pretending she has no idea who that author might be.
She prefers it that way.
Writing allows her to be vulnerable without being exposes.
The pseudonym provides distance.
Protection.
Freedom.
Now living on the island and teaching at Ivermere Academy, Verity has built a life defines by quiet routines, overflowing bookshelves, late-night writing sessions, and carefully maintained privacy. To most people, she appears composed, intelligent, and somewhat unapproachable. Few realize how much tenderness exists beneath the surface or how profoundly grief continues to shape her life.
She carries her sister with her everywhere.
In every story she writes.
In every student she encourages.
In every ending she struggles to believe.

⋆˚꩜。 origin story ⋆˚꩜。
Orion Alexandru Dimitresci aka Orion was born into wealth and privilege. The Dimitresci family name carried power throughout parts of Europe, tied to generations of successful business ventures and luxury hsopitality. From the outside, his childhood appeared enviable. He spent his early years moving between sprawling estates, historic cities, and some of the most beautiful places in the world. He learned multiple languages, attended prestigious schools, and was groomed from an early age to one day carry on the family legacy.
Behind closed doors, life was far less idyllic.
The Dimitresci family valued achievement above nearly everything else. Excellence was expected, weakness was discouraged, and emotions were often treated as inconveniences rather than realities. Orion learned early how to present the version of himself people wanted to see.
Polished.
Composed.
Successful.
This defining tragedy of his life came when he was still young.
He was raised in love and happiness until the age of 10. His mother struggled with depression for years, fighting a battle that few people around her understood. Despite wealth, resources, and every outward advantage, she eventually lost that fight. Orion found her. Her death shattered Orion's entire world. While the rest of the family buried themselves in work and appearances, Orion was left carrying a fear that he rarely speaks about. Depression runs in families. He knows that. He has spent much of his life quietly wondering whether the darkness that claimed his mother might someday come for him.
⋆˚꩜。 wandering & searching ⋆˚꩜。
Rather than confronting that fear, Orion learned to outrun it.
He became restless.
Movement became comfort. Stillness became dangerous.
Whenever life grew too quiet, he found another destination, another project, another excuse to leave.
Smile.
Laugh.
Keep moving.
Don't stop.
It can't get you if you don't stop.
Ironically, Orion built something that he doesn't really allow himself.
Over the years, he built an international portfolio of high-end hotels, spas, and resorts spanning Europe, North America, and beyond. His properties are known for elegance, discretion, and exceptional service. To guests, they offer peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
His success transformed him into a recognizable figure within elite business circles. Wealth magazines praise his instincts. Industry leaders seek his advice. Investors compete for opportunities to work with him. His personal life is the subject of endless spectulation.
Handsome.
Charismatic.
Impossibly wealthy.
A Bachelor With a Reputation.
Orion has a reputation as a serial bachelor. Models, actresses, entrepreneurs, artists, and socialites frequently link to him. The gossip columns paint him as a playboy who simply refuses to settle down.
The truth is more complicated.
He doesn't struggle with affection.
He struggles with permanence.
Loss taught him that nothing lasts forever. Love feels dangerous because it requires vulnerability, and vulnerability means risking devastation. Relationships remain easier when they stay temporary. A few weeks. A few months. Never long enough for roots to develop.
⋆˚꩜。 finally settling in ⋆˚꩜。
For years, that philosophy served him well.
Until Cypress Cove.
Originally, the coastal town was little more than another business venture. Orion purchased and revitalized the Cypress Cove Inn and put together a luxurious spa and wellness retreat. As the years passed, however, he finds himself spending more and more time in this town. Unlike the endless parade of airports, penthouses, and international meetings, Cypress Cove offers something unfamiliar.
Quiet.
Not loneliness.
Peace.
For the first time in decades, Orion is considering the possibility thatt perhaps there is nothing left to outrun. He still travels, but he stays in Cypress Cove almost as much as he travels now. To most people, he seems confident, sophisticated, and completely in control. He carries himself with effortless charm and the easy confidence of a man accustomed to getting what he wants. Few realize how much of that confidence has been carefully constructed over a lifetime spent running from grief, loss, and the fear of becoming the person he worries he might one day be.
MALE, HE/HIM. Hey, is that Zane Phillips? No, that is just Micah Belov around Cypress Cove. I heard they are 35 years old, and their birthday is May 10, 1991. They rest their head on the Coast but can mainly be found working as a landscape architect. Some say they are patient, thoughtful, and grounded but can be conflict-avoidant, self-sacrificing, and prone to overthinking. If they had a theme song, it would be Wildflowers by Tom Petty. I hear they are a NEWCOMER, either way Cypress Cove is home and welcomes you!
Micah Belov grew up knowing he had an older brother he had never really known. His father never hid Reid's existence or pretended the past hadn't happened. Instead, Mark spoke of him often, sharing stories of the son he'd left behind with a mixture of pride and regret. As a child, Micah imagined Reid as larger than life. A football star. A boxer. The kind of older brother every little kid secretly hopes they'll grow up to know. When he was six years old, his father finally brought him to Cypress Cove for a visit. It didn't go the way anyone hoped. Reid barely acknowledged him, his anger directed squarely at the father standing beside him. Micah was too young to understand the difference. He simply went home believing his brother wanted nothing to do with him.
Unlike Reid, Micah grew up with a father who had learned from his mistakes. Mark was present for every soccer game, every school concert, every milestone that mattered. He encouraged curiosity, kindness, and patience, raising Micah to believe that the best things in life took time to grow. As he got older, Micah came to understand that the father he knew wasn't the same man Reid had grown up with. Rather than making him defensive, that realization filled him with empathy. He couldn't blame Reid for resenting a version of Mark he'd never had the chance to know.
After earning a degree in Landscape Architecture, Micah built a successful career designing parks, waterfront spaces, botanical gardens, and community gathering places throughout the Southeast. He loved creating outdoor spaces that encouraged people to slow down, connect, and enjoy the world around them. His projects earned him a strong reputation, but when Mark was diagnosed with a terminal illness, work suddenly became far less important. Wanting to spend whatever time remained with his father, Micah arranged to work remotely and relocated to Cypress Cove indefinitely.
While Mark never asked either of his sons to forgive him, he quietly admitted there was one regret he knew he could never fix. The years his choices had stolen from them. Though Micah doesn't expect Reid to welcome him with open arms, he couldn't ignore the opportunity to try. He's not looking to replace the family Reid lost or convince him to see their father differently. He simply hopes that two brothers who grew up with completely different versions of the same man might still find a way to know each other.
Gentle, observant, and endlessly patient, Micah has a habit of noticing the little things other people overlook. Whether he's sketching ideas beneath the shade of an old oak tree or helping design a neighborhood park, he believes every space has the potential to bring people together. He's learned that growth rarely happens all at once, and that relationships, much like landscapes, are built one careful season at a time.

They rest their head on the Coast but can mainly be found working as the owner of Low Tide Distilling Co. BASICS:
full name: Rémi Étienne Bouchard
nicknames: Rémi
age: 39
dob: November 12, 1986
hometown: Montréal, Québec, Canada
current location: Cypress Cove, Georgia
neighborhood: Coast
occupation: Owner & Master Distiller of Low Tide Distilling Co.
Rémi Bouchard never imagined he would leave Montréal. Raised in a close-knit French-Canadian family, he grew up surrounded by good food, lively conversation, and an appreciation for craftsmanship that shaped nearly every part of his life. After studying fermentation and distillation, he built a successful career working for several respected craft distilleries throughout Québec. It was during those years that he met the man he believed he would grow old beside. For more than a decade they built a life together, one that looked steady and happy from the outside. Somewhere along the way, however, comfort quietly became distance. By the time they admitted they wanted different futures, there wasn't anger or betrayal left between them. They had simply become different people.
The divorce was as amicable as heartbreak could be, but that didn't stop it from changing everything. Every favorite restaurant, familiar street, and daily routine became another reminder of the life that no longer existed. Rémi eventually realized he wasn't trying to escape his marriage. He was trying to rediscover himself outside of it. When an aging waterfront building in Cypress Cove became available, he took the biggest gamble of his life. He sold nearly everything he had, packed what remained into a moving truck, and headed south with little more than a dream of opening the kind of distillery he had always wanted to own.
Building Low Tide Distilling Co. demanded more patience than Rémi ever expected. Nearly every dollar he had went into restoring the building, purchasing equipment, and waiting for the first barrels to mature. There were months when he questioned whether he'd made a terrible mistake, but cutting corners was never an option. He believed good spirits couldn't be rushed, just as healing couldn't be forced. Slowly, Low Tide found its place within Cypress Cove. Part tasting room, part gathering place, it became somewhere people could linger over a thoughtfully crafted whiskey, bourbon, or gin without ever feeling rushed out the door.
About a year after opening the distillery, Rémi wandered into a local animal rescue intending to "just look." He left with an aging Irish Wolfhound named Bernard, who quickly became the unofficial mascot of Low Tide. More often than not, Bernard can be found asleep across the tasting room floor while Rémi works behind the bar, greeting newcomers with nothing more than a lazy wag of his tail.
Quiet by nature, Rémi is often mistaken for intimidating until people spend time with him. He's the sort of person who remembers how someone takes their drink, notices when they're having a difficult day, and quietly refills a water glass or slides over a bowl of pretzels without saying a word. He rarely speaks about himself, preferring to listen instead, but beneath his reserved demeanor is someone who cares deeply about the people around him. He still speaks kindly of his former husband, believing that love doesn't have to end in bitterness to come to an end. Cypress Cove wasn't meant to be a forever home. Somewhere between the smell of aging whiskey, evenings spent watching the tide roll in, and the familiar faces walking through his doors each day, it quietly became exactly that.
FEMALE, SHE/HER. Hey, is that Mika Abdalla? No, that is just Mira Marinova around Cypress Cove. I heard they are 25 years old, and their birthday is August 19, 2001. They rest their head on Ivermere Isle but can mainly be found working at the Cypress Cove Lighthouse. Some say they are curious, compassionate, and observant but can be restless, nostalgic, and conflict-avoidant. If they had a theme song, it would be Constellations by The Oh Hellos. I hear they are a NATIVE, either way Cypress Cove is home and welcomes you!
Mira Marinova grew up with the Cypress Cove Lighthouse as her backyard. While other children built forts in the woods or rode their bikes through the neighborhood, Mira spent her afternoons climbing the lighthouse's spiral staircase behind her maternal grandfather, Nikola Marinov. After immigrating from Bulgaria as a young man, Nikola eventually became the last official keeper of the lighthouse, dedicating decades of his life to preserving both the landmark and the stories it held. He taught Mira that history wasn't just something found in textbooks. It lived in weathered journals, faded photographs, old ship logs, and the people willing to tell their stories. Before she knew what career she wanted, she already knew she loved preserving the past.
Eager to experience life beyond Cypress Cove, Mira left home after high school to study Historic Preservation and Museum Studies. She spent the next several years moving between internships and temporary positions at museums, historic sites, and preservation projects along the East Coast. The work was everything she'd hoped for, but every coastal town reminded her of the one she'd left behind. She always planned to come home eventually. She simply expected it to be for a visit instead of a goodbye.
When Nikola passed away, Mira returned to Cypress Cove to help her mother sort through the lifetime of journals, maps, artifacts, and records he had left behind. What began as a temporary stay slowly turned into something more permanent. As the future of the lighthouse became increasingly uncertain, Mira realized she couldn't bear the thought of seeing the place that shaped her childhood fall into neglect. She stepped into the role of the lighthouse's steward, overseeing tours, educational programs, preservation efforts, fundraising events, and the day-to-day care of both the lighthouse and the keeper's cottage she now calls home.
The work is deeply fulfilling, but it rarely pays the bills. Between grant applications, community fundraisers, school tours, and seasonal visitors, Mira is constantly searching for new ways to keep the lighthouse financially afloat. She occasionally collaborates with the Heritage House & Coastal Museum on maritime exhibits and local history projects, but most of her time is spent ensuring the lighthouse remains open for the next generation. It's a labor of love more than a career, and there are plenty of days when she wonders if she's fighting a losing battle.

⋆˚꩜。 origin story ⋆˚꩜。
Deluca Traeger aka Luca was born the only child of a household where alcohol was more important than food or money. His father was a violent alcoholic whose moods dictated how the days were going to go. Some nights were loud. Some were quiet. The quiet nights were the ones Luca learned to fear. He learned early how to read footsteps, predict explosions before they happened, and to disappear when necessary. Growing up every single day was just about surviving until the next day.
Music was Luca's escape. He spent countless hours listening to old records, teaching himself chords, and imagining a loud stage where everyone was actually happy to see him. Every dollar he managed to save eventually went toward purchasing a secondhand red stained, dreadnought body guitar. It wasn't expensive. It wasn't impressive. But it was his. He named it Apollo, partly as a joke and partly because he believed it might carry him somewhere brighter. From that point on, the guitar rarely left his side.
By sixteen, Luca was already playing anywhere that would have him. Coffee shops, open mics, backyard parties, and dive bars that never bothered checking identification too closely. He quickly learned that confidence opened doors a lot faster than honesty. When one local bar asked his age, he told them he was 21 with a smile so convincing that he got a spot on the stage. That one little white light changed everything for him.
He caught the attention of a talent agent who saw something special in the skinny teenager with the battered red guitar and a voice full of pain. The man promised everything Luca wanted. A contract, tours, money, fame, and a way out of this stupid podunk town. Luca signed the contract. He had been saved. Or so he thought. He actually only sold his soul to a different devil.
⋆˚꩜。 last five years ⋆˚꩜。
The relationship between Luca and his agent quickly became complicated, manipulative, and deeply exploitative. The man who managed his career also controlled every aspect of his life. Drugs became common. They were slipped into his drink the first time. Then they were presented as a tool. See how much better you performed. See how relaxed you feel. See how they help you cope with the overwhelming demands of sudden fame. By the time Luca realized what was happening the dependency had already taken root. That wasn't the end of the abuse though. It went far beyond that.
What began as mentorship blurred into coercion, manipulation, and a sexual relationship. The man who had discovered him carefully cultivated an environment where gratitude, fear, and affection became impossible to separate. For years, Luca convinced himself he owed everything he had to the person hurting him.
His career exploded. Albums climbed charts. Concert venues grew larger. Fans memorized lyrics and plastered posters on bedroom walls. To the public, DeLuca Traeger was a rising rock sensation. Interviews showed him as carefree and untouchable. Social media amplified the image. Fame transformed him into a fantasy. No one knew the truth. Behind closed doors, Luca was exhausted. The drugs that were optional were not necessary. The persona he performed for millions was easier to maintain than his actual self.
⋆˚꩜。 right here, right now ⋆˚꩜。
Now, twenty one for real, DeLuca recently found himself in Cypress Cove. Officially he is taking a vacation. Time away from touring. Time to write new material. Really though, he's trying to figure out who he is when nobody is telling him who he is. He came to Cypress Cove with a duffel bag, his beloved guitar, and enough baggage to fill an entire tour bus. Fame follows him wherever he goes, but for the first time he's trying to hide from it. Beneath tattoos, expensive clothes, and practiced confidence, Luca is still that same boy who once sat on the edge of a bed clothing his guitar and hoping music would save him. The difference is that now, Luca doesn't know if music was his escape or just another cage.

Felicity “Fox” Dubois was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, to a hardworking family that never had much money but never lacked determination. Her father tended bar and played piano in a local speakeasy, filling their small apartment with jazz melodies long after midnight. Her mother died when Felicity was still young, leaving her father to raise her alone while juggling long nights and longer shifts. She learned early that life was rarely fair, that people often carried burdens nobody else could see, and that survival usually depended on the kindness of strangers and the strength of community.
Growing up, Felicity was impossible to miss. She shot up taller than most of her peers and eventually towered over many of the men she worked alongside. As a teenager, she spent countless evenings in the speakeasy where her father worked, helping whenever she could. She learned how to read people long before she was old enough to drink. She watched gamblers bluff, businessmen negotiate, musicians charm entire rooms, and drifters spin stories worth more than the money in their pockets. The speakeasy became her education. It taught her that information was power and that confidence could be worth more than cash.
Her nickname came from one of those nights. A wealthy patron, drunk on his own arrogance, was a little louder than normal and was beating everyone. She noticed that he was cheating early on and when everyone had lost practically everything she stepped in. He challenged her when she insulted him, convinced a young woman could never outplay him. Felicity calmly took his money and proved that he was cheating. One spectator laughed that the tall young woman was a “sly little fox.” The name stuck. Before long, almost nobody called her Felicity anymore.
Shortly after that, her father was killed. Shot in a mugging, or so they claimed. But really she was being punished. The man who she beat was not happy with her. She was in danger. Rather than remain in Chicago, Fox made the difficult decision to start over somewhere new. Seeking distance, opportunity, and a fresh beginning for herself, she relocated to Cypress Cove. There she rented a room at a respectable boarding house run by a woman named Kiara Marquis. Over time, during countless late night conversations over tea and shared confidences, Fox learned that the boarding house served another purpose. Hidden behind ordinary doors and strict rules was a discreet brothel operated by Kiara. Unlike many places that exploited vulnerable people, Kiara’s establishment functioned as a sanctuary. Those who chose the profession were protected, respected, and given far more autonomy than the world often offered. Curious, Fox briefly explored the work herself but quickly discovered it wasn’t for her. What fascinated her wasn’t the business, it was Kiara.
Kiara possessed a rare talent for leadership. She knew how to protect people. How to manage crises. How to create safety in a world determined to take it away. More than once, Kiara told Fox she would make an excellent madam someday. Fox laughed. Then life changed her mind. One evening while walking home from a local bar, she crossed paths with a young man - Sylas Delacour. Their conversation was brief, but it opened her eyes to a reality she never fully considered. People were going to sell companionship, affection, and intimacy whether society approved or not. The profession wasn’t disappearing. The question wasn’t whether it existed. The question was whether the people involved were protected. For the first time, Fox understood exactly what Kiara had spent years building. And she realized what would happen if someone unscrupulous inherited it.
When Kiara decided to retire, she sold the property to Fox. Many people expected the establishment to disappear. Instead, it evolved. Fox transformed the front facing business into Small Talks Tea & Boarding, a charming tea room and boarding house that became a beloved part of Cypress Cove. Visitors came for pastries, tea, conversations, and comfortable rooms. Most never suspected there was another side to the business operating quietly behind carefully guarded doors.
Under Fox’s leadership, the house became known for its strict standards and unwavering commitment to safety. Access required trust, discretion, and a password known only to those invited. Exploitation was not tolerated. Violence was met with swift removal. Every person under her roof was treated with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. Over the years, Fox’s reputation extended beyond her own walls. She quietly opened her doors to several of the vulnerable young women rescued by Colm O’Reilly, providing housing, working opportunities, and stability while they rebuilt their lives. Some stayed only briefly. Others remained for years. All of the found someone willing to fight for their safety without asking for anything in return.
Today, at 42 years old, Fox remains one of Cypress Cove’s most respected and mysterious figures. To most townspeople, she is simply the intelligent owner of a charming tea room and boarding house. To those who know her well, she is a protector, strategist, confidante, and guardian. Few people understand the full extent of what happens behind her doors, and that’s exactly how she prefers it. Fox has never believed that she can save everyone, but she has spent most of her life making sure people have somewhere safe to land when the world gives them nowhere else to go.

BIOGRAPHY:
Tucker Rothchild grew up in a world where most doors opened before he ever had to knock. As the eldest child of Michael and Celeste Rothchild, he was raised in comfort, privilege, and the kind of financial security most people only read about. His childhood was filled with private lessons, family vacations, and every opportunity money could provide. But for all the advantages he had, the thing Tucker valued most was never the Rothchild name. It was his family.
His parents built a home filled with stability, warmth, and genuine affection. Michael was the kind of father who showed up for everything, and Tucker spent most of his life wanting to be exactly like him. As the oldest sibling, he naturally slipped into the role of protector. He was the one helping with homework, breaking up arguments, and making sure everyone got home safely. Responsibility came easily to him. Maybe a little too easily.
When his father suffered a sudden aneurysm, Tucker's world shifted overnight. Watching the strongest person he knew disappear piece by piece was devastating. Watching his mother lose her best friend was somehow worse. The months that followed were filled with grief, uncertainty, and the painful realization that life could change without warning. When Celeste made the decision to leave their old life behind and return to Cypress Cove, Tucker didn't hesitate. He packed up his own life and followed her. Officially, he told everyone it was temporary. Unofficially, he couldn't stand the idea of his mother facing everything alone.
The diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis only reinforced that decision. While Celeste insists she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself, Tucker has made it his personal mission to be nearby if she ever needs him. Sometimes that means helping around the house. Sometimes it means driving her to appointments. Most of the time it means hovering far more than she would like.
Despite inheriting enough money from his father's estate to never work a day in his life, Tucker quickly discovered that sitting around a house all day was its own kind of torture. Looking for something to keep himself busy, he picked up a job at the Cypress Grand Theater. Most people assume he's working there because he needs the paycheck. The truth is he enjoys it. He likes the movies, the people, and having somewhere to be. It gives him a routine. A purpose. A chance to build a life that belongs to him instead of simply orbiting everyone else's.
Now, for the first time in his life, Tucker finds himself somewhere entirely new. Cypress Cove isn't the town he grew up in. It's his mother's hometown. His aunt's hometown. A place filled with stories and history that existed long before he arrived. For perhaps the first time ever, nobody knows exactly who he is. And while he'd never admit it out loud, he's starting to think that might be exactly what he needs.

IMPORTANT BITS:
Bunny had never known a life without love and adoration. Her mother was strong and smart and loving. Her father fun and adventurous. The two never found themselves in a relationship that stuck but it didn't stop them from raising Bunny together. Even if Evan blew in and out of town with the wind he'd call once a week minimum to talk to her. He'd bring her gifts and over the summer when she got older she was allowed to go out of state with him for a few weeks at a time.
Her favorite place to travel to was New York. She loved the stage and loved plays. It wasn't a surprise when she started acting in school plays or begging her parents to go to acting camps. Nor was it a surpise when she graduated high school and went to be a theater major. .
While she knew her parents wanted the best for her Bunny learned quickly how expensive the world was and she didn't want to ask for more even if she'd get it. She knew she had to be an expensive child and now she was an adult. She wanted to earn her own way .
One of her friends saw her struggling as she tried a few on campus jobs and was struggling with that and her class load. They already were posting pictures on Only fans and helped her get set up .
While she wouldn't be able to live off of her earnings without showing her face her videos still did well and 4 years into it she's made enough money for her own place and she enjoys having creative freedom over her channel. Only her friend knows about this and sometimes joins her in shoots otherwise her page is just her
She lets her mother think that she works on campus and while her mom might not be the most happy she lives in Southside she still makes sure to go and see her most days and the days she doesn't she'll text her.
MALE, HE/HIM. Hey, is that Anthony Stewart Head? No, that is just Ciarian Engram around Cypress Cove. I heard they are 66 years old, and their birthday is April 1, 1959. They rest their head in the isle but can be mainly found working as the Viscount of Cornwall. Some say they are wise, dependable, and self educated, but can also be self blaming, rigid, and prone to melancholy. If they had a theme song, it would be Everywhere, Everywhere by Noah Kahan. I hear they are a local either way Cypress Cove is home and welcomes you!
Ciarian Engram was born in Truro, Cornwall. He was the eldest son of a titled family whose roots ran deep along the rugged Cornish coast. As Viscount of Cornwall, he was raised with an understanding that tradition was not merely a title but responsibility. The Engram name carried weight in certain circles and from a young age Ciarian was taught that a viscount’s duty extended far beyond ceremony. Land stewardship, charitable foundations, preservation of historic estates, and the careful management of family holdings were simply part of the life he inherited.
In his 20’s, Ciarian married the woman who would become the center of his world. Her name was Eliza Trenwith. Their life together was steady and warm, and they welcomed their first set of twins, boys, not long after. Nine years later, they were blessed again with twin daughters, bringing a loud and joyful chaos into their house.
Two years after the twins were born, happiness took a turn and they were struck with tragedy. Eliza said she had a headache and went to lay down. When he went to check on her, he couldn’t wake her. The loss shattered him in ways he never quite learned to articulate. Cornwall, once beautiful, began to feel haunted by memories he could not escape. The cliffs reminded him of walks with her. The halls of the estate echoed too loudly with her absence. So, he left.
Packing up his children, Ciarian moved them across the Atlantic to Cypress Cove, Georgia, hoping the distance might soften the grief that Cornwall seemed to amplify. The move gave his children a chance to grow up with sunlight and freedom instead of mourning halls, but Ciarian himself remained divided between two worlds. His duties as Viscount of Cornwall didn’t just go away. The title still required his presence, his oversight, and his influence in England, forcing him to travel frequently between Cypress Cove and Truro.
Years passed. His children grew. And finally Ciarian found love again. He found himself entangled in an impulsive relationship with Tiffany. She was two years older than his girls and attended school with them. It was a reckless distraction that turned permanent. They got married and Tiffany gave him another daughter, Catherine.
The situation was messy, scandalous by many standards, and far from the dignified image expected of him. But Ciarian fell in love and he found happiness again. He refused to apologize for that. He loves his wife and his daughters are the center of life, but responsibility still has a habit of pulling him away. He is constantly out of town for months at a time and not getting to see his family nearly as much as he would like.
Female She/Her. Hey, is that Olivia Holt, no that is just Willow Blackwood-Torres around Cypress Cove. I heard they are 30 years old, and their birthday is November 25th, 1995. They rest their heads on the Coast but they can mainly be found working as a Real Estate Agent at Southern Tide Realty. Some say they are Dependable, Resourceful, Protective and can be Stubborn, Overbearing, and Grudge-Holding. If they had a theme song it would be, Crowded Table by The Highwomen. I hear they are Native either way Cypress Cove is home and welcomes you!
BASICS:
full name: Willow Grace Blackwood-Torres
nicknames: Will
age: 30
dob: November 25th, 1995
hometown: Cypress Cove, Georgia
current location: Cypress Cove, Georgia
neighborhood: Coast
occupation: Real Estate Agent at Southern Tide Realty
Willow was born into the Blackwood family and grew up on Blackwood Ranch alongside her brothers. The Blackwoods were never the most beloved family in Cypress Cove. They kept to themselves, minded their business, and earned a reputation for being difficult long before Willow was old enough to understand why. While some of her siblings dreamed of leaving, Willow found herself caught somewhere in the middle. She loved the ranch and the family that came with it, but she wanted a future that belonged to her.
As one of the older children, Willow spent much of her childhood looking after Ryder. The two developed a bond that remained strong even as the family grew older and drifted in different directions. While her brothers eventually left Cypress Cove behind, Willow never truly did. Even after moving away from the ranch, she remained a constant presence in Ryder's life and one of the few people capable of talking sense into him when his temper got the better of him.
After graduating from college, Willow built a career in real estate. Growing up in Cypress Cove gave her an advantage few others had. She knew every neighborhood, every back road, every family history attached to the homes she sold. Over the years she established herself as one of Southern Tide Realty's most trusted agents, helping newcomers and lifelong residents alike find their place in town.
While attending college, Willow met Eduardo Torres, a hockey player from Texas whose kindness balanced out her stubborn streak almost immediately. The two fell hard and fast for one another. When their daughter Angelica was born, they made the decision to stay in Cypress Cove and build their life there. Since then Willow has balanced her career, marriage, motherhood, and her continued involvement in the Blackwood family.
Though she no longer lives on the ranch, Willow still considers it home. She is fiercely protective of the people she loves and rarely hesitates to step in when family is struggling. She inherited the Blackwood stubbornness in full force, but where Ryder tends to charge headfirst into a problem, Willow prefers to solve it with persistence, patience, and a refusal to let go until everyone she cares about is taken care of.
Donnie's life began with an initial rejection. He was the unplanned product of a drunken, hurried one-night stand and the subsequent societal pressure that forced his parents into a brief, disastrous marriage.
He has only fragmented, hazy memories of his mother. She was a ghost even when she was physically present—cold, resentful, and utterly unsuited for parenthood. She eventually made the inevitable escape when Donnie was just five, a relief to her but a devastating confirmation to the young boy that he was unwanted.
He was left with his father, a man whose casual drinking quickly spiraled into full-blown, violent alcoholism fueled by anger and self-pity. Their home was a cramped, perpetually messy trailer in the heart of the downtown South Side trailer park—a community he couldn't leave and one that became the backdrop for his formative trauma.
Donnie's childhood was a series of quick evasions and attempts to make himself invisible. He learned to read moods, lie effortlessly, and steal minor things just to get by or numb the pain. These early lessons in deceit and sneaky behavior were the foundation of his adult personality.
Donnie has a long, documented history with drugs—both using and low-level dealing. This association cemented his dishonorable reputation, marking him as unreliable and dangerous to the conservative local community.
The inevitable happened in his early twenties. A botched deal led to a sharp stay in prison. This wasn't a reformative experience; it hardened him, made him even more suspicious, and taught him new, darker lessons in survival and manipulation. He carries the shame and the suspicion of a former convict with him every day.
Donnie is notoriously lazy on the clock. He cuts corners, takes excessively long breaks, and will delegate any difficult or dirty job to someone else. He views the job as a means to an end, a place to hide and make just enough money to survive.
If someone manages to get past his defenses and earns his trust—a rare feat—Donnie becomes fiercely protective. He understands pain and rejection better than anyone, and he will not stand by if someone he cares about is being hurt or taken advantage of. He's the kind of man who would break the law to help a friend in genuine trouble.
Quick Facts;
The Sutton last name is worn with a badge of dishonor around Cypress Cove, the story of his parents traveled fast and the family doesn't have a great reputation with the locals- Donnie is bottom of the barrel according to most of Cypress Coves long time residents but thats where he feels most comfortable.
He is covered in tattoos, most of them are from scratchers or stick and poke he did himself.
Donnie doesn't actually own a full set of tools. He has "permanently borrowed" most of his equipment from work.
Despite being perpetually broke or running low on cash, Donnie always magically has enough money for a pack of cigarettes. He treats cigarettes like actual currency around the trailer park and South Side docks, using them to buy information, trade for small favors, or talk his way out of minor trouble.
Growing up trying to avoid his father's sudden outbursts taught him how to move completely silently. Even though he can act loud, smug, and obnoxious on purpose, he has a habit of accidentally startling people because he walks without making a sound, a leftover survival trait from his childhood.
He isn't outwardly affectionate, if he actually grows fond of someone- he will never explicitly say he cares about them or offer sweet words. Instead, his love language is subtle backhanded favors like secretly changing the brake pads while complaining about how much of a disaster they are.
He doesn't keep his money in a bank, instead he hides it in low-tech hiding spots like inside an empty coffee tin or taped to the inside of his sock drawer.
Although he doesn't remember his mothers face, the cheap smell of artificial cherry lip balm mixed with cigarettes will make him freeze for a second.
Donnie refuses to buy the latest smartphone (not that he has the money to anyway) instead he uses a beat up 3g flip phone because he is positive the government uses phones to eaves drop into our lives.
Donnie has a running, deadpan joke (that no one is entirely sure is actually a joke) about the birds in town being surveillance drones. He is often seen muttering to them about how he knows they are watching.
Donnie hasn't bought a lighter in 10 years but his pockets are always carrying at least two. He got into the habit of absentmindedly pocketing any lighter left on a table or counter. He doesn't even realize he's doing it anymore.
Donnie does not own a car, which is funny considering he "works" on them all day. Donnie gets most places by walking or taking public transport but his normal hang out spaces are within a 5 mile radius most days.
His current living arrangements include being sprawled out half naked on someones couch, usually passed out drunk. Occasionally you can find him laying on the streets of South Side or a not so comfy bench but his main residence is a shabby run down RV behind his dads trailer.

From the day he was born, Henry was handed the short hand of the stick. An abandoned father, a stripper mother who brought Johns home at all hours of the night (sometimes numerous ones), 6 younger brothers, and a tiny trailer. To say his life was spent practically pressed against SOMEONE in the family wouldn't be too far from the truth. He ended up sleeping two kids to a single bunk with one bunk bed and one larger bed. The only reason there were so many Lyons' was because his mother was DETERMINED to have a girl, but her body would only produce boys.
Growing up, Henry was always the loneliest one, his mother always focused on someone else. So he would act out as much as he possibly could just to get that tiny ounce of affection from anyone that would pay attention. It followed him into his school career until he dropped out in the 6th grade to help raise his brothers and then followed him into his teen years. As a teenager, he ended up running away due to all the neglect and abuse he'd faced by the hand of the numerous different adults in his life and that had started his life of crime. From robbing people to stealing cars, to even an accidental robbery gone horribly wrong. He ended up fleeing from the scene of the accidental murder and crossed country lines, coming all the way to Georgia. He even met other criminals on his way to Georgia, leading him to learning more and more about the criminal underground.
However, once he got to Cypress Cove, he gave up that life of crime and now currently tries his hardest to live a normal life. However, he has relapsed and extorted people whenever he needed to make a quick dollar (partially to make sure his friends were taken care of), and while he feels immense guilt on a daily basis, that was just how his life was and remains to this day.
