i’m going to be such a bitch but why’s every celeb/show news post i see about supriya exiting the show flooded with comments that are like, “nooooo not my mohabbot!!!!1!1” i love my ships as much as the next person but is that really all that she was to yall? i was hoping to see how her research was going to develop; how she might change the ED with it. i was hoping to see more of her relationship with robby; how different it is when things aren’t literally against them and when the ED isn’t functioning on survival mode. and i know, narratively, they were leading up to samira’s departure so the things i wanted to see were a long shot, and i know that the pitt is all about relationships so mohabbot falls under that, but truly the way people have been acting like that’s all samira’s plot was is driving me up the walls.

there were so many people who flooded the internet with hate, not even criticism, posts about robby in defence of samira and now that her character is leaving, the disappointment these same people feel is all because their ship won’t have screen time anymore?

i’m actually going nuts.

again, consume and interact with media however you want but. samira—a south asian woman in a field saturated with white men, who used the biases she faced growing up to find ways to provide change to better help others, who is so driven by her work and her passion that she isolated herself, who has such a complex and powerful relationship with her chief, who is so blind to her own struggles, whose biases also shape the way she interacts with people, whose rocky relationships with people extends even to her home, whose burnout made her crash so hard, who has flaws and faults and tries to grow anyway—is so much more than mohabbot.
