❝ What?"
Nøkken (the water spirit) by Theodor Kittelsen.
Näcken or nøkken is in Nordic folklore a male water spirit, thought to be living in or close to rivers, lakes and streams. Although there are many different versions of this water spirit, according to a common one he is an excellent violin player and will play enchanting songs to lure people to come closer to him, so that they would drown in the waters.
Several things are named after this creature, including näckrosor/nøkkeroser (water lilies).

MYTHOLOGY MEME ~ [5/8] Legendary Creatures ~ Seelie Faeries
The Seelie court are known to seek help from humans, to warn those who had accidentally offended them, and to return human kindness with favors of their own. Still, a fairy belonging to this court will avenge insults and could be prone to mischief. The most common time of day to see them is twilight. Other names for the Seelie court are ‘The Shining Throng’ and ‘The Golden ones’ and ‘The light Court’. The categorization of fairies based on court is whether or not they are a light or dark fairy. Light fairies are known for playing pranks on humans and having a light hearted attitude, forgetting their sorrows quickly and not realizing how they might be affecting the humans they are playing pranks on. Scandinavian tales and creatures
Skogsrån (watchers of the forest) are mysterious women who guard the forest and all its creatures. Seen from the front they are unearthly beautiful, but their backs are hollow like old and rotten trees, and they often have the tail of an animal. To protect the forest, they seduce and sleep with woodcutters and then steal their souls, leaving them empty husks of their former selves.
