VLD: The Infamous Commander
Sorry, it took me long. Haven’t trouble to decide whether or not to end this chapter. So here it is.
While Akira was still at his office, a knock came before a familiar voice appear.
"Hello, Akira. It's Alfor," he introduced himself.
Akira exhaled. "Come in, Alfor."
The door slides open, Alfor came. "Sorry I took so long. I rested for a moment."
Akira isn't in the mood to listen, but he remains silent for a moment. "Alway, since I'm here now. You might give me my final alchemist test. Although, I hope it not too long."
"That depends," he reacted. "How fast you want to finish it, that's up to you."
Alfor looks confused. "I' sorry I don't understand what you mean?"
Looking at Akira for a moment, he hopes the Commander explain to him more. But instead of giving an answer or clue, Akira places something on his desk. Which, made Alfor curious and yet, confused. As Akira exposed beneath his hand, it was an arrow-shaped rock with a V-symbol.
"What is this, Akira?" Alfor becomes even more curious and confused.
"That, my friend, is the key to your final test." He answered. "If you open it first."
There he notices that Alfor has grabbed the stone and trying to open it, (The same method that Allura used on her first tries) has no luck.
Akira exhaled, once more. "Alfor, are you even listening?"
Alfor moves his eyes away, then look at the Commander. "Yes, I am."
Unable to read his expression, Alfor felt he didn't fool him. But Akira knew better than waste his time on something ridiculous stuff. "Further, your final test must stay a secret. Which include your wife and your adviser. Understood?"
Alfor nodded. He looks at the strange rock, then turns his attention back to the Commander. "But I have a few questions this test of mine; How do I open it? And, what happens if I didn't succeed?"
"That is for you to find out," Akira respond. "And, the rests of your question is unimportant."
Alfor didn't take that well. But before he spoke, Akira continue. "Only you can decide that for yourself."
Without getting help, Alfor left the room.
As Alfor left, Commander lifts his helmet, revealing his face as a young man with a dark-haired and purple cheek marks. There he places his helmet on his desk, he massages each side of his forehead, while he calms himself.
"I hope I know what I'm doing," Akira grumble to himself. He questions himself as he wondered if he acts too soon.
Focus on that dream he has, Akira remembers a few images of his vision.
A dark creature emerges from the ground as it was trap within a dome. But it breaks free as it destroys as it moves. Then, five lions appear out of nowhere and start fighting the unknown creature. As they fight, the five lions started to glow as they flowed together. Once they did, a bright appear as a giant robot came and destroy the creature.
"Voltron." the unknown voice responded.
Heard the cheer, Akira soon realize something as he saw five figure stand in front of the lions. Then, a familiar voice appears as they argue on something. Once he turns around, a planet he knows appear. Confuse at first until the lions coming. But notices something strange, instead of five lions, there're four.
Curious about what they are doing, Akira continues to stare as he saw the four lions doing something. As they open their jaws, cannons appear and fired. To his surprise, it was a planet they are firing. But the planet that's destroyed is Daibazaal, the Garla's home-planet. Regardless, planet Daibazaal wasn't the first.
Got sight of Planet of Altea, Akira study at his surround and recognizes the decorations on the planet. As the nighttime came, screams and cries appear out of nowhere. Flames appear as the building crumble, a many of blasts fire from different places. And, four strange lights appear as shatter in a different direction of the galaxy. But the mysterious light wasn't the only thing got his attention, Castle Altea has left.
Once he stops memory of the dream he has, Akira still questions of himself and wondered if he made the right for Alfor to take his final test. Then again, if he had chosen Honerva, the question remains is; will she change or be the same?
While Akira still having doubts about his decision, but in his mind and heart he knows he made the right choice. But something tells him that Alfor and his friends won't pass the true test. The true test that had yet to unveil itself. And, wondered if Alfor and his friends will overtake different challenges that the universe will bring upon them. Will their friendship be intact or be destroyed?
I’ll try to finish chapter 3 in two weeks. Hopefully, I figure out how to end before season 6 has come.
