Okay so I want to add my views on the whole Chan debate.

Chan was recently seen performing with cornrows and a bandanna on.

To alot of people this seems like “Culture Appropriate ”. To me this picture is just of a dude with braids especially if I don’t know him(I do but we asked). This saying I’m not of colored decent though I am related to my far share and am best friends with. I have had my hair in tight braids like these and so have my cousins and we are white but I’m not going to get an agreement about this. The point I want to get to is that you all have the nerve to say this to Chan because of his braids but what about Marco from UNB and HBY ? He used to have dreads! Shouldn’t that also counter as “Cultural Appropriation ”?

you knew his personality before this controversy. you loved him before the controversy. you cared for him before the controversy. he was there for you- you were there for him. you’re two-faced if you’re putting this against him- cancelling him, for his hair. he didn’t know- if he did, he was a doll to stylists. he has no say. if you knew idols were treated like dolls, they had no freedom, you know chan is apart of the crowd. he isn’t an exception.

*i was updated that it was chan’s choice- i did not know and was informed that it was the stylist. but again, please don’t belittle him. he deserves everything to be in that position, in that group. he deserves everything and more. he made a mistake, he learnt the mistake. don’t cancel him.
