Dipsy may not my top favorite characters but I want the guy to have his hat back, that's his favorite thing and Guardian is a jerky jerk for taking it he should know that's Dipsy's favorite thing, so in my brain canon Dipsy doesn't die by the laser, he's just injured and managed to get his hat back and Guardian isn't going to try to get back that hat from infected Dipsy's claws like fine buddy you can have it
