now for the stand for the trophy I printed last night. And here we have the finished result, I’m happy with the size and the finish, there’s a little bit of stringing that I can sort before the final print also it looks like the bed wasn’t perfectly levelled as the bottom curled slightly. I’m thinking of doing this in a wood filament and changing it to a bronze filament for the studs, does anyone have any thoughts on this?

After the removal of the supports and a little zit removal this is the end product, I’ve learnt to be happy with the holes within these prints of MRI scans as it’s out of my control, this is purely down to what is captured. I’m looking into cleaning up scans for future prints but as this is to be used for a demo of what results 3D printing can produce I’m happy with the finished product. Here I have the next part of the skeletal prints for one of my clients. This is a print of a MRI scan of the hips and spine of a small dog, I’ll post some pictures of it cleaned up a little later.

After cleaning up the supports I’m left with an impressive skull, i switched to. 0.6mm nozzle to print this and I must say I’m happy with the finish the top is very smooth and layer lines are at an absolute minimum. Keep watching for the rest of this skeleton ( it won’t be a complete skeleton but the bits I’m printing are to showcase how 3D printed skeleton can help in diagnosing within a veterinary setting, 3D scans are good but being able to hold something in your hands is even better) #3dprinting #3dprinted #veterinarian3dprints #makinglifebetteroneprintatatime

Ok so I couldn’t wait to start printing the inserts so I’ve set this one going now. At least I’ll know that everything fits together will in about 3 hours. I’ll post the results once I’ve finished and put a few together. #3dprinted #3dprinting #cryptocurrency #dualcolourprint

So it took 12 hours but all 108 coins stuck and I’ve now started the second batch. I have attached some of the test prints on for you to look at, the all black coin was a test to see if I could produce 2 parts that would press together and give a solid coin. This print will be a batch of 400 white coins with a blue R and 400 blue coins with a white R. Plus 32 of each extra incase any fail (always have extras when printing lots of parts). 108 trolley/locker tokens. This is a big job I have on at the minute to produce 800 tokens. After a little issue levelling the bed it looks like everything is a go. His will be a dual colour print but watch this space for how I achieve this on a single colour extruded. I expect this print to take my eh better half of 2 weeks but the outcome will be worth it. Wow it’s been a while. It I’m back, I’ve been extremely busy working on several projects over the last few months. This is a print I did for a new client last month, as you can see there a few issues with it and due to the filament twisting I decided to cancel the print about 60% of the way in. Some information on the decisions I made with regards shells and infill, so I decided to do 7 shells and 45% infill to try to better replicate bone, I think it worked well and as this was to be used to practice at full scale on I think it’ll give the best results. #3dprinting #veterinarian

9 days after picking up my Wanhao D7 and 9 days of headaches I’ve finally managed to start a print, after some helpful advice from the D7 community I had to downgrade the firmware to make it work with NanoDLP, let’s hope this print comes out perfectly in just over 3 hours time. Pics to follow.
