Expanding off of my Other Post!

Essentially I’m figuring out how all of his internal organs would fit inside of his head while still maintaining its general shape and flatness (For some reason Tumblr won’t let me crop out the huge unused part of the canvas for the last image because it can’t handle the size dimensions???)

Notable Details:

-His tympanal organs (hearing organs commonly found in insects) are completely hidden due to using his papery skin as the membrane. They’re quite small, so they can fit in his thin head-flaps.

-Said head-flaps are full of sensitive nerve endings to help him detect changes in air pressure, temperature, wind direction, etc. These nerves attach to the same central nerve that connects his ears to his brain.

-His vitals have a firm muscular wall surrounding them to protect them from outside forces, similar in function and anatomy to the human abdominal wall, though covering more than the front of the torso.

-While his spinal cord is almost fully encased in these protective muscles, there is a small gap where his spinal cord is close to the skins surface, being where his neck meets his torso. Applied pressure to this area (The Central Exposure Point) disrupts brain signals to the rest of the body and can even cause momentary paralysis.

-His lack of a skeletal structure, most notably a skull, leaves him at a high risk of brain injuries should his head be injured, meaning he has to be careful to avoid any attacks directed at his head.

(There are obviously a bunch more nerves and veins all throughout him, but I ain’t drawing all of that 👍)
