One arm kept the hedgehog close to him, the other shifted slightly, so that his hand could wrap gently around his lover’s length. His own pulsed softly as it was pressed up against his lower backside.

A slow breath was released, the demon retreating his tongue so that he could speak.

Familiar enough with Christmas traditions, the hedgehog didn’t have to look up nor think too hard about what was hanging above their heads in its merry ambiance. The hedgehog let a silence wisp around them, but one of pondering rather than awkwardness.

As he starred into her eyes, he couldn’t help but think a bit. He now felt like a dumbass, and an asshole, for making her feel like crap earlier. But he did too feel calmer, as if just looking at her and being close to his lover was undoing stress from an unknown source. A hint of that relief could be seen in his eyes, but other than that, his expression remained unchanged.

“Y'know what I hate about you?” He stared, slowly, looking down a bit, “what a really hate about ya?” He then let out a sigh and rested his head against her chest. “You… You make m'heart race, turn m'brain t’ mush, an’ ya drive me crazy… In a good way…” And he can honesty say, no girl has ever done that to him before.

On that last node, he looked up into her eyes and gave her a well-deserved smile, followed by a peck to her lips.

     His words made the hybrids ears twitch back some, the beginning catching her slightly off guard. Hate? Since when did hate have to do with anything? Then she the weight of his head on her chest, his breaths oddly warm against her cool fur.      As he spoke, she could only try to look down at him, focusing more on his spines as she listened. She didn’t utter a response in return, her quills beginning to bristle under the feelings bubbling up in her chest. It was as if she couldn’t breathe, though she didn’t have lungs to test that theory.      Flame’s eyes almost sparkled when their gazes met, her constant rush of hot air pausing for the slightest of moments. A purr was already prepared for his lips, the ebony female simply pulling her mate’s face back to hers when he began to back away. One hand burying itself into his spines while the other going down his back.

The hedgehog was partially relieved that she had graciously accepted his affection, but that relief was quickly drowned out in the passion he felt and heat welling up inside of him as she pulled him back.

However, the sudden rush of emotions was… Too much for the hedgehog right now. Too much! For Scourge of all people! And so he pulled back again and looked into her eyes sheepishly and embarrassed as a blush rose to his face.

With his hands still holding her by the small of her back, he simply stared up at her before breaking into a wide sheepish grin, followed by a faint chuckle. “Merry Christmas.” He mumbled.

Flame relased what could have been described as a giggle, her arms sliding to simply rest around his neck. His blush was adorable to witness, the grin doing little to make up for it. It made the demon giggle a second time, in perfect rhythm with his chuckle.

She leaned forward, pressing gently against his hands as they bumped noses. Another purr spilled from her maw, along with a tongue licking playfully at his teeth.

“Merry Christmas, my king~.”

She responded with a happy note, ever so softly butting heads with him. Now this was much more to her liking.

“No, I ain’t sittin’ down!” He growled and stomped, huffing like a dog. “I hate th’ holidays, an’ I haven’t seen ya in a while, an’ now ya come, dressed in that?” He was quite clearly aggravated due to the fact that he didn’t at all acknowledge the revealing nature of said attire.

A few more takes at the bottle of alcohol, and a good couple of moments between that, and the hedgehog seemed to calm down. “… Fine… But that better not be spiced wine…” He grumbled, making his not-so-merry-way to the commonroom next door to the foyer.

The room was dominated by a lovely, aromatic woody smell, as the fireplace in the centre cast a warm glow over the heavily carpeted interior, light flickering along the walls of old bookshelves. Two hefty velvet chairs sat to one side, angled towards the fire, and a two-person couch sat opposite, also angled.

The demon felt herself tense at his shout, her tail betraying her nerves with a few rapid twitches. She didn’t utter a word until he spoke again, forcing herself to move her feet.

As she followed him, she glanced down at the bottle, reading the label.

“No, not spiced…Jack Daniel’s.”

She sighed out as she stepped into the foyer. It’s warmth was more than welcome to the elder, letting her shoulders lower a small amount. With a few strides she was at the couch, sitting closest the fire.

Scourge breathed out a heavy sigh, that seemed to carry a hint of relief, followed by something that sounded like a muttered “God bless number seven”. The hedgehog walked over to the mantlepiece where there were, conveniently, some whiskey glasses, next to a large humidor and other smoking paraphernalia. This was obviously his recreation room.

He grabbed two of them and unceremoniously flopped down on the couch, waiting for her to serve them. Selfish ass.

The green motherfucker deliberately avoided Flame’s peaking gaze, suddenly finding an extreme detail in the reflections of his whiskey glass. He was slow and patient with his sips, knowing he was driving her IM-patient. At one point he had considered lighting up a cigar.

In all honesty, Scourge didn’t know what to think. On one hand, he hated the holidays and Flame’s attire simply reminded him more of that. On another hand, he had missed her dearly and ached to properly greet and love her. On yet another, she didn’t seem too happy about something, and his own mood didn’t seem to help her one bit.

He wasn’t expecting anything from this, right now.

The devil watched him from the corner of her eye, slitted pupils seeming to quiver slightly as she began to glance about for some type of thought. Something to say or do…but of course the dying flames in the hearth did little to provide her with answers.

Of course, the silence was starting to make her nervous, and it showed as her fur began to bristle upward some, and she was eyeing his glass with a touch of envy.

With a abrupt huff and a small puff of smoke, the succubus stood and summarily plopped herself into the rugged male’s lap. Small, silky digits pulled the alcohol from thick, callused ones, setting it aside without looking.

“You know….I did miss you an awful lot….”

She spoke quietly, almost a whisper as she leaned in, her smoky breath curling around his chin, those fingers gently running up his chest.

With hardly a reaction nor flinch as she straddled him, sat on him, and ever so eloquently stole his alcohol away, the green hedgehog looked up at her, seemingly unfazed, but there was a certain annoyance about him, the way his cold gaze trudged along her until it locked with her own.

“Mmph…” He grunted shallowly in reply, which could have meant anything from “I missed you too” to “fuck off”, but was probably along the partially-heartfelt “whatever” spectrum.

It wasn’t a hinderance to the situation that, as Flame straddled her larger lover, her scantly-clad bust was propped right into his face. Most likely wasn’t an accident on her part, either.

“My drink.” He muttered finally, as the reality of the situation dawned on him. His train of thought was very clouded for some reason.

His comments only gained him a gentle growl, a sharp lick of blue flame grazing just underneath his muzzle. This was far from the response she had been looking for. In fact, this whole visit has really only stressed the demon out more than she had already been. All she wanted was some nice time with really the only person she could even tolerate any more, and this was what she got? These thoughts only made her fur bristle more, her face set into a small, almost unreadable frown. As if her fur, glowing eyes, and little growls wouldn’t give the quiet seething away. Well, it did for a moment anyway. Her anger passed with a quiet sigh, relaxing back into a more...pitiful look. All she had wanted......Was a little bit of the holidays. Was that too much to ask for? Apparently so.

A thought crossed her mind,an idea really, making her mouth twitch upward slightly.

“I know you don’t like the holidays....But I do know...There’s always one tradition you can never break~.” As she spoke, that almost smile returned, finally exposing the tips of a few shark-like teeth. Then, almost like in a movie, she looked up. There, dangling just above their heads, a tendril had a piece of mistletoe by its stem.

But he was the one that dressed both her and her mother for any and all formal events. She was lucky she didn't appear with the original ball gown. That jingled.

She finally mumbled, sighing softly as she straightened herself. A few tendrils came up, twisting together to create a thick one, of which that the hedgefox reached into, pulling out an icy glass bottle.

"I brought some good liquor."

Was she nervous? Excited? A mix? Or had she somehow gotten herself sick? She contemplated this as she tugged gently on her strapless Santa dress, it’s fluff hiding the dark green ribbon that she had miraculously managed to barely wrap herself in. Why she was thinking up that, she didn’t know.

Her free hand pulled the matching coat tighter around her, suddenly feeling self conscious as she raised her fist, giving the heavy door a hearty rap of the knuckles. Her sparkling red heels clicked as she shifted back some, now only her crimson striped legs from under the equally fluffy skirt.

Nonetheless, the heavy iron bolt slid, and the (more advanced) locking pistons released, unlocking the door. “What th’ hell do you w-” Scourge began as he opened the door, very grouchily in tone, but cut short when he noticed his lover, and cocked a brow.

“Uh, hey babe. Step inside.” He offered, turning back into the foyer. It was just too dark for Scourge to notice what exactly she was wearing, but when he did he wouldn’t be as happy.
