Admin Tam and I have been discussing it at length, so it will be happening.
I've decided to make it a Dirty, Dirty Dancing spinoff. You WON'T have need to read Dirty Dancing, but the characters and setting will be relevant to that. The Main Character and Shownu will be unrelated.
For the few who don't know shibari. it's a kind of rope art/bondage.
Jusr finiahws chapter 6. I know you didn't say it, but I had "Hungry Eyes" in my head while reading the dance practicing scenes. Especially when Yeji danced with Y/N and Hyunjin watched, like Johnny and Penny in the movie.
I like your writing style and even though this is different from the movie, there are still nods to it.
I meant to send a message after every chapter, but the writing took me, and here I am middle of chapter 4. Sorry!
I just love the nods to the movie you have. Like the watermelon scene of course, and Hyujin doing something to the car so "Baby" calls him wild. It's fun to see how you use them.
At line dancing now where even a straight white man can do it. Lol
Dirty, Dirty Dancing is a good read for this time of year, at least where I live for the spring weather.
The first chapter vibe scene is also really nice to follow along with if you have such means.
Only on chapter one, but look forward to reading more.

Thank you so much!!!
Because of this comment I saw the update toggle switch wasn't working and fixed it, so now you can see recent stories, including the finale of Dirty, Dirty Dancing.
I hope you enjoy it. Twas an effort of love and a long time of writing.

~Admin V
It was the night of the Senior Showcase and Art Exhibition.
Unsurprisingly, you’d been asked to come and cater for the exhibition. Still needing money, of course, you’d accepted. Plus, it would give you the chance to see Hyunjin in his other element. Not to mention, if President Park was there, it was an opportunity to have your presence as a “fuck you” to him.
Gods how you really wanted to say it to him though. He defeated you in a battle you didn’t even know you were fighting, and you hated how it made you feel. You weren’t yourself after leaving the school.
Seonghwa and Christopher were still very supportive of Yunho, and though he could no longer teach, they still welcomed him to come at night to help with the showcase.
You hadn’t seen Hyunjin since leaving and had barely spoke to him or Yeji for that matter.
Your setup with Yunho being a visiting artist and you catering had always given you a lot of downtime, but after everything that happened, and everything happening so quickly, you felt lost and unsure what to do with yourself. You’d gotten used to being in a dance studio with Hyunjin or his art studio. Or in the cottage with both him and Yunho. Or even just sitting in Yeji’s room having girl talk and eating.
But all you had for the last couple of days was the wall of the cheap motel room to stare at. And questions. There were so many questions plaguing you that you didn’t want to bother anyone else with.
At first it was concern for Yunho and how all of this would affect him and teaching at other schools. But with Park’s reputation, and Yunho still being in good with the dance department, you knew he’d be fine. Even with the current situation sucking as it did, he was holding it together pretty well.
The next questions were of Changbin. Did he really sell you all out? The first night you’d met him he talked about how much he hated Jin Young Park, so how could he choose that asshole over you all? Had the situation between him and Hyunjin really been that bad? Had you really hurt him more than you’d known by taking his place? Was he actually the culprit? Or were there other jealous dancers who had beef with Hyunjin?
Then you thought of Yeji. Did she still have feelings for Changbin, or had this ruined it all? Would she still confess to him? Would she just take Hyunjin’s side and add more fuel to that already blazing fire?
And finally, there were endless questions about Hyunjin. Where did your relationship with him stand? If he got into the dance company as he had planned, would you and Yunho follow him and work nearby to him? What if he didn’t get into the company? He knew your plans of wanting to own a studio; would he want to be part of that?
As Yunho pulled in behind to the back of the dining hall to drop you off before going to the showcase, you were glad you had catering to finally get your mind off of all these things.
The school’s museum where the exhibition was, was behind the school’s sports fields and buildings, so you’d need to take catering vans to the event. Because the dance showcase was the same night, you knew you wouldn’t be working with Felix or Changbin. You guessed that was a small mercy, but you still felt a little sad. It had always been fun working with them, and again, you’d been in a weird mental state since everything went down.
The head caterer gave you a black shirt and yellow tie like the first night of catering. Because the event was in the museum, only hors d'oeuvres and light-colored drinks would be served.
Sitting in the van, you and other staffers made sure the warmers, racks of glassware, and plates didn’t bounce around too much.
Other than the museum staff, you all were the only ones in the building. Tall round tables were set up in corners to hold plates, napkins, and glasses prefilled with drinks. In the middle of wider open spaces were longer tables with the hors d'oeuvres set up. The museum staff thought it might be better, so there were no accidents of staff bumping into anyone or accidently ruining the art by accidently spilling trays.
Once everything was setup, there was still some time before artists and then guests would arrive. You took the time to look at all of the work. It wasn’t just paintings, but there were also sculptures, drawings, stained glass pieces, and even some creative string creations.
Immediately you knew when you were in Hyunjin’s section. You recognized his stilllifes and portraits. But Dirty really was a focal point. The size was so much bigger than his others, and then of course all the colors on it. Hyun wasn’t the only one to have nudes included in his art collection, but you wondered if Park would get fussy about it. Gods how you would love it if you or Hyunjin told him how it was the three of your bodies on the canvas, but knowing what an asshole he was and your luck with him thus far, he’d probably make Hyunjin pull the piece.
The head caterer assigned everyone their spots for the night. You were to be in a corner with drinks. Unfortunately, it was a corner out of sight of Hyunjin’s pieces, so you wouldn’t even get to see him much unless he wandered over to you. You tried to put on your best catering smile, but your heart really wasn’t into it.
The artists started to come in and stand by their work. You didn’t see Hyunjin and he didn’t come over towards your area. It was difficult not to feel more disappointed.
Before long, other guests started to come in and fill up the museum. When they came to you, you offered them water, apple juice, or white wine.
President Park did come in, but he didn’t seem to notice you, thankfully. As much as you’d love to tell him off, you knew you couldn’t at a work event, and seeing him with a smug smirk would make you want to punch him.
You weren’t trying to glare at him, but he was standing right in your line of vision.
“They put you in a corner, huh.”
Caught off guard, you looked up to see Changbin, in a catering uniform.
Before you could ask what he was doing there, or any other questions, he continued.
“I know I’m an asshole for what I did to you, Yunho, and Hyunjin.”
Your mouth fell open as you weren’t expecting to hear that.
“When I’m wrong, I say I’m wrong. I didn’t understand the situation and I was being a jealous toolbag.” He took a breath. “I’m sorry.”
You were taken aback. You really weren’t expecting him to say that. After blinking a few times to bring yourself back to the current moment, you looked him in the eye. “I’m sorry, too. I never meant to take your place . . .” There was more you had to say, but Changbin held his hand up.
“You don’t need to be sorry. I wasn’t the right choice for the routine, and I didn’t understand the situation between the three of you. I do now, and I take responsibility for my actions.”
It was hard not to smile. “But I had some responsibility in it as well. Please, I do owe you an apology, and it’s long overdue.”
He matched your grin. “Okay. Apology accepted.” He turned to look behind him then back to you. “Felix can only distract JYP for so long, so you need to hurry and get out of here.”
Looking past him, you saw Felix talking to President Park. “What?”
He grinned wider. “Don’t you have a Senior Showcase to perform in?”
You finally understood. That’s why Changbin was in a catering uniform. He was going to take over for you.
“I already spoke to the head caterer; you’re good to go.”
Tilting your head, you couldn’t help but feel like you wanted to hug him.
“I know, I know. I’m awesome, you’re thankful. Now get out of here before he sees you.”
Quickly, you reached your arms around his neck for a hug and kissed his cheek. “Thanks, Changbin.”
“Go,” he ordered.
Looking at Felix, he glanced at you from the side, then turned himself so Park would also turn and face away from you, so you could make your escape.
Once outside, you were once again surprised to see Yeji waiting for you in a golf cart. You didn’t have a chance to say anything as she reached in the seat next to her then handed you a white dress.
“Wooyoung said from the measurements he took of you last time, this should fit. He also said you could wear a bra with it.”
So much was happening so quickly, you weren’t sure what to do but stare at the dress.
“There are public bathrooms there,” she pointed. “But hurry up, we gotta go.”
“Right,” you nodded and went towards where she pointed.
You were caught off guard. Knowing Yeji told you to hurry, you put on the dress quickly then returned to the golf cart.
As soon as you were in the seat beside her, Yeji turned toward you with a wicked smirk. “Alright, hold on,” and her foot hit the gas, hard.
Squeaking, you grabbed onto the side frame of the cart. “What exactly is happening?”
“We’re going to the Senior Showcase.”
“Yeah, got that.”
“And you’re dancing.”
Motioning to the dress you looked back to her. “Also got that. Does Hyunjin know about it. Or Yunho?”
“Yeah, it was Yunho’s idea.”
“What?” Yunho’s idea? That man couldn’t hold a secret to keep his life. Y’all could never properly celebrate holidays or birthdays because he was always too excited when he bought your gifts.
“Trust me,” Yeji kept her eyes on the path from the museum to the main buildings. “He complained the entire time about not being able to tell you.”
“And Hyunjin knows?”
“Yes.”
Huh. Maybe they were afraid of your sharp tongue not holding when seeing President Park tonight? Or maybe it would have been suspicious had you not taken the catering gig.
“It’s my fault.”
You stared at Yeji.
“I really flipped out on Changbin. Told him he was dense for not seeing that the three of you were actually having a relationship and even denser for not realizing I had feelings for him. That woke him up a bit and we had a long conversation about me and him and Hyunjin.
“Last night he apologized to Hyunjin as well as Yunho since Yun was still hanging in the auditorium to help out. Bin wanted to apologize to you and commented he wished he could undo it all so y’all could still perform in the showcase, and now here we are.”
Well that was surprising.
Yeji glanced at you and saw the shock in your face. “Yeah. He has his moments when he’s not being a dumbass.”
“Why are we rushing there though? I thought both events were happening the same time?”
“Nah. The showcase started over an hour ago. That idiot Park just scheduled them for the same night.”
You didn’t even realize. And catering had taken up a good portion of your night.
She pulled up to the building where the auditorium was. “Go ahead.”
“Where do I go?”
“Just into the auditorium.”
As soon as you got out of the golf cart, Yeji sped away.
Now you were nervous. Were you late? Were you going to perform right away?
The auditorium doors were closed. Slowly and as quietly as possible, you opened the double doors closest to you.
Yunho and Hyunjin were both on stage, Hyun talking into a mic. “ . . . my senior year, I worked hard to earn my spot to dance here tonight, but somebody told me not to. But I’m gonna do my kind of dancing with two great partners. They’re not only terrific dancers, but people who taught me that there are those willing to stand up for other people, no matter what the cost. People who taught me about the kind of person I want to be.” He gestured to Yunho. “Yunho Jeong,” and somehow, he saw you enter the room and motioned his hand to you, then said your name. A spotlight then beamed onto you.
A crowd of dance students you recognized came to you and led you to the stage. As you walked up the steps, Hyunjin walked to the side, giving Hongjoong his music selection.
You were scared to look out at the audience. You’d never had this many people watch you dance before. With your nerves, you only now noticed that two poles were brought out to the stage. Were you going to pole dance with them? You weren’t that good. You’d lost where Yunho went.
The music started, a song you didn't recognize, and you looked back to Hyunjin. There was nothing but confidence as he walked in your direction. He climbed onto the pole into the Cupid and offered his hand to you.
Taking it, you sat on his thigh, and knowing you were safe, you didn’t hold onto the pole but onto him. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you, too,” he lifted his leg and the two of you began spinning, eliciting cheers from the audience.
You couldn’t help but look at him with worry. “What if Park finds out about this?”
Again, his confidence shone as he smiled. “What’s the worst he can do to me at this point? I’m graduating. At most he’d say I can’t walk at graduation. He can’t take my diploma from me.” He stopped you both from spinning and you felt a poke at your shoulder.
Yunho was hoisted in a different position on the neighboring pole, offering you his hand to take you from Hyunjin. Hyun helped to pass you over, and you were in a different placement than the Cupid, instead facing Yunho with your thighs resting on his, causing new shouts of enjoyment from the onlookers.
“Why didn’t you tell me about any of this.”
He smiled, his arms flexed as he held the two of you on the pole. “It was a very last minute plan.”
You raised your eyebrow.
“Baby, you know it killed me keeping this a secret from you, especially because you’ve looked so bummed the last few days.”
That made you smile. “Yes, I did hear from Yeji there was quite a bit of whining from you.”
He grinned and kissed your nose. He put his foot down so you once again stopped spinning, and Hyunjin’s arms reached out for you. He was on the floor now and helped you from Yunho’s embrace.
When you were on the ground he spun you into him. With you facing him he did a long, sensual dance-dip. The crowd ate it up, whistling and cheering more. Hyunjin then turned you around so your back was against him as he lifted your arm around his neck.
He was starting the dance routine. This wasn’t the music you’d danced to it before, but you trusted him as he taught you how to feel the music.
When his hand lowered against your arm, you weren’t surprised by any movements and were able to keep up with the routine. Well, that was until he over spun you and suddenly you were in Yunho’s arms.
You were a little lost in where the dance movements were, but Yunho’s wide smile was contagious and you couldn’t help but smile and follow along to his lead. He did a few unplanned spins and even lifted you while turning which made you laugh. When you knew where you were in the dance, you were once again swapped into Hyunjin’s hold.
It was getting to the part when he was going to do the deep dip. You were nervous, especially since you’d chickened out at the actual audition, but the conviction in Hyunjin’s eyes filled you with trust and ease.
He looked at you to confirm you were ready and comfortable for it, and when you nodded he grinned then dropped you, just like you’d practiced dozens of times. It was perfect and exactly how you should’ve done it for the audition.
More loud praise came from the crowd.
The song wasn’t finished when Hyunjin lifted you back up. He and Yunho each held one of your hands while looking at you, then glanced at each other with a grin. Suddenly, they let go of you and both jumped off the stage down either side of the aisle. Halfway down the aisle, the two of them turned back to look at you.
Not really sure what to do with yourself, you swayed to the music, which is when Yeji and Felix joined you on the stage. You couldn’t contain yourself seeing him and hugged Felix. “Thank you for helping with the escape plan.”
“It’s not all I helped with.”
You gave him a curious look, but before you could ask further, your focus was back on Hyunjin and Yunho who were now at the back of the auditorium. The boys walked forward, dancing in unison. They each had a group of dancers following behind them doing the same movements. You recognized the original dance Hyunjin had done with Yeji.
As they approached the stage, dancers helped Hyunjin and Yunho back up. They each greeted Yeji and Felix. Words were exchanged between Felix and Hyunjin but you couldn’t make them out.
The song was ending, and the boys quickly pulled you to the side and something emerged down from the ceiling. It was Hyunjin’s art piece, Dirty. Felix stole it from the museum!
You held each of their hands while Yunho pulled you back center stage in front of the piece, which is when the song ended. He and Hyunjin lifted your hands in the air and then pulled them down so the three of you would bow, causing the audience to cheer in an uproar.
Lifting back up you saw everyone one their feet as they clapped and applauded. The music changed to a party song, which caused more people to join on the stage and the crowd to remain on their feet to dance as well.
You looked at each of your men. “Did this really just happen?”
Yunho smiled and nodded. Hyunjin just kept a grin.
Staring at his painting, you looked back to him. “Why’d you steal Dirty from the museum?”
“We weren’t allowed to dance because we were deemed dirty, so it seemed fitting.”
“Dirty dancing,” Yunho beamed.
You couldn’t help but smile at both of them. “Dirty Dancing; sounds like a good name for a studio.”
Both grinned with you, and the three of you danced with each other to the music.
One Year Later
Yunho, Hyunjin, Yeji, and you stood outside as you waited for the unveiling of the sign. The construction crew removed the tarp and the electrician turned it on; Dirty Dancing and Art Studios.
As luck would have it, both Yeji and Hyunjin had made it into the dance company, and both turned it down. They decided they wanted to put their dance efforts into a studio the helped and inspired others.
Though he wasn't present for it, several of Hyunjin's art pieces sold at the Art Exhibition and put his name out into the art community. With Hyunjin joining the efforts, it gave you and Yunho an extra income, so you were able to afford a 3-story place. The first floor was for dance, the second for art, and the third was your living space.
Yeji’s parents helped her with a nearby apartment, so she was close by and could be an instructor at the studio now that her ankle has healed. She was still dating Changbin, and when he graduated at the end of the year, he agreed to help run the place after a while so you, Yunho, and Hyunjin could serve in the peace corps for a bit.
“Shall we?” Yunho asked.
The four of you walked into the building. The entrance led to a reception desk with cubbies and lockers for dance students behind it. The rest of the space was the dance studio. One wall was fully mirrored with ballet bars across it. One corner had poles that were moveable so Yeji could instruct her pole dancing classes. Where there was empty wall space, Hyunjin had painted one of you, including Felix and Changbin, then pressed you into the wall in a famous dance position.
The second floor was the art studio. Hyunjin’s pieces were displayed on the walls, with Dirty being in the center. In the room were several easels, work tables, and even a potter’s wheel. There were several cabinets, just like at his campus studio, filled with paints, clay, and other supplies. And finally, two sinks so the artists could clean their tools.
“Everything looks great,” Yeji commented.
“It turned out better than expected,” Yunho agreed.
You, Yunho, and Hyunjin had been living on the third floor for a few months already while setting up the studios, so it was already comfortable, but now everything was complete.
The four of you headed back down to the dance studio.
“We’ll be ready to open next week,” you commented. “I’ve put ads in the local papers about allowing all ages and income brackets. I printed flyers yesterday and figured we could go around with them today.”
“Good plan, baby.” Yunho kissed the top of your head.
“But,” Hyunjin had a cheeky smile. “I think we need to christen the place first.”
Yeji and Yunho smiled in response, but you had your eyebrow raised. “And what does that entail?”
He grinned wider, and with a remote turned on the stereo, playing Cupid Shuffle.
You couldn’t help but shake your head. “You want to christen the studio with a line dance?”
“Not just any line dance,” Hyunjin moved to the music. “It was our first line dance.”
“It’s not exactly the dirty dancing our sign suggests we do here.”
“Oh,” Yunho smirked. “I’m sure we can make it dirty.”
You shook your head but smiled with them. Standing in a line with the three of them, you looked to them all. “Alright, let’s go!”
