“Is this how you preface all your conversations?” She immediately snarks. Lucifer will conjure a form from the mirror and stuff the mirror in her pocket.

“Ugh, what is it…?”

“…Well, not everyone that I talk to is a demon.”

He’ll hover above the mirror and then Lucifer’s human form, not moving except for the methodical and tireless wing flaps. 

“But I just wanted to ask if you know who broke that mirror into four for you?”

“I was moreso referring to the ‘I have a question’ bit. Do you have any idea what relaxing is?” She rolls her eyes.

“... I think it was Irina. I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure it was her. The original vessel was a bunch of diamonds, anyhow. Someone forged those into a mirror, then someone broke the mirror into four. Dunno who. Never really cared...”

It’s a normal sword. Of course it is. She doesn’t have the key on her right now, so it’s her only defense. Maybe being nice to this demon was a bad idea–especially since they’ve got her cornered.

“…It’s the only line of defense I’ve got right now. I wager I can still take off your head if I need to.”

“You think just a sword’s enough to get rid of me?” he sneers, amused. Lucifer takes another step forward, completely unfazed by Chessa.

“I ought to thank you, Your Majesty, for letting me stay so long. I’ve learned a lot in these past few days.” If it weren’t for his nasty expression, his words would almost sound genuine. “You really should be more careful, though...~ This kindness will get you killed one of these days, won’t it?” He’ll conjure a sword of his own in his left hand, but he’s not attacking yet. He’s way too hammy to actually attack until he’s bored.

Had she? She doesn’t feel any different than she did growing up. Still, it’s not long to the kitchens, where she’ll shoo out the servants for a bit to make the tea. She can do this much herself.

“The key.” He responds simply, following behind her. “You contracted with the demon in that for some reason, didn’t you? Its presence here is near suffocating.” Lucifer never was a fan of Seth, after all.

“... Since you’re not gonna contract with me, maybe I should take that back...” he mumbles under his breath, only thinking aloud.

She’s treading very carefully. Because she’s on high alert. This person has a lot of explaining to do.

“I’m... a wanderer. My name is Lucifer.” He’ll bow politely. “My apologies for not introducing myself sooner, Your Majesty.”

“Oh. By ‘where I come from’ you mean how I...” got in the room. Well, fuck. “Hahah... whoops. Misunderstanding there!” Lucifer laughs, disappointed that the facade was falling apart already. “Well, it’s a bit complicated, actually. Dunno if I can explain it in simple terms.” He’s totally stalling while he tries to think of how to not-lie-but-still-lie about how he manages to teleport from place to place depending on where his vessels are.

He’s so screwed.
